Naki walked out of the backroom behind the High Priestess and stood there as she fetched her own pet, the sight of whom made him snort very low and unnoticeably. Pathetic submissive kitten.

Bowing on cue as the High Priestess left, he was able to notice she had turned as if to say something else though in the end she stayed silent. Once she was out of sight, he scratched the back of his neck, perhaps because of the earlier sting felt through the mental link or just because he was dumbfounded. He'd probably never get Drow and their flighty nature.

With that, he turned around and went into the backroom. He had much work ahead of him.

"yes mistress" he said work standing up and following her out. he was staying thee steps behind her. he knew some of the rules out here and would go out of his way to obey them. he was just a slave and in that mind even if he was teh msot loyal he was expenidible. he needed to do has mistress told him or his life was in danger. he still want to live as long as he could be his mistreses pet he wanted to live. he keeps behind her letting her lead him on a leash.

Nilquiri moved a little feeling awkward "I was wondering if it would be possible to obtain a sample of pioson from your whip" he saked castiously vioced. "I am an alchemist and i wish to work reporduce the toxins for other weapons"

She narrowed her eyes as she glared at Nilquiri before her. She could have lashed out at him but it was merely a simple question. "This is sacred venom granted from Lloth herself embedded in these imps that are binded to my whip. It is not something that is passed about freely. If you want some you will have to take it from someone that is infected" She then passed by him heading again towards the exit pulling on Kyo's leash to follow after her. After a moment she paused and looked back to the male. " Also if you want something like this.. you have to earn it to acquire a vial" She showed a malicious grin before departing from the tavern climbing onto her mount.

In the back room, safe from any unwanted listeners or onlookers, Naki beckoned his slave over. When she was at proper distance, he grabbed her by the arm and made her turn around, lifthing the cascade of black hair to get a look at the spot where she -and he- had felt the sting. One look, then he let her hair drop back in place.

"You've been blessed. You bear now the mark of the spider". He went quiet for a few heartbeats, thinking. So that was why she had put the matter to rest; because the slave was now properly branded. Disguise spells and out-of-nowhere brandings... Naki couldn't help but wonder what else she was capable of.

"That mark can't be taken away but by the Spider goddess herself, I'm sure", he said finally. "But I'll take care of the other mark myself. I figure the ones that caught you didn't bother to make their art permanent".

With that, Naki donned his duster and gloves, snatched his weapons and his funds, and stepped out of the back room, only to stop in his tracks as he noticed the cloaked Drow addressing the High Priestess and the noble Drow female climbing atop her mount. If he even tries to raise Hell I'm gonna pound him myself, he thought as he watched from his corner.

Kicking over the side of her mount, she departed from the tavern, riding down the street but not at full speed but fast enough for Kyo to have to run to keep up. As she turned around the corner, she adjusted to hold the book in her hand while she held the reigns in her other hand. She was pleased she had what she wanted and now it was time to add another piece to her web of plans.

Valthier ignored the drunk woman's question, and smirked when Izzd introduced himself. a thief would be a usefull ally, he could use someone like him.

"and I am Valthier Edonil'Barra, Patron of House Edonil'Barra, and leading supllier of Mythril and surface goods in all of Undergaia." he bowed slightly, and let his soft eyes blink once.

he did so, smirking the entire time, and grabbed his hat, placing it on the knob of the back of the chair he sat in at the new table.

"i could very well use a man of your talents, Izzd. i am currently between secondary jobs, and quite bored and lonely. i seek a means of contacting the, uh..." he lowered his voice to a whisper and covered his mouth next to the thief's ear. "the Vhaeraunites. their god has instructed me to join him. i want to find a priest of their religion and become inducted in it."

he leaned back again, and raised his chin, still smiling. "do you think you can help me with that?" he asked.
