Quote: Name: Constitution Training Description: Zentos is going through a made-up workout plan to get tougher. This includes a medley of exercises such as squats, crunches, and push-ups. Progress: 9/10DC Needed: 10 + Con. Mod[3]=13 Feeling the pressure of representing Kumogakure in the upcoming Chuunin Exams, Zentos pushed his body to it's limits in an attempt to complete his training. One more set of push-ups and then his body would get stronger. That's what he always told himself when he was trying to self-motivate and finish his training. He just let himself imagine how difficult the Chuunin Exam would be if he didn't keep training right at this very moment now. He needed to be a well balanced and finely tuned machine in order to be able to hold his own against genin who had been training in other villages. The foreigners might actually have the upper hand, because the exams were definitely not going to be held in Kumogakure, so the home village where the test would be held had the home field advantage to begin with. Zentos would have to work doubly as hard in order to keep up with others. This was what he told himself in order to keep up his training.

Finding a spot away from anyone else, and where most people wouldn't be able to find him, Hosho opened the Academy Basics scroll. He began to read it for a moment, the first thing it would have him do was to learn the Twelve Handseals. The first on the list was Tori (Bird), so using the illustration as a guide, he went about copying it. After a moment he looked at the illustration and back at his hands, he deemed this handsign learned. DC: 10 17 - 1 = 16 Pass
Moments aftter learning the first handseal Hosho moved onto the second one, named Ousu-buta (Boar). Once again he set upon reading the description, and closely studying the illustration. Once he believed he had it memorized, he set upon trying to copy the picture using his own hands. He tried for a moment, and once he thought he had it he compared them. After looking over his hands, and the illustration for a moment, he deemed that it wasn't perfect, but close enough. DC: 10 11 - 1 = 10 Pass

After he deemed the Boar handseal acceptable, Hosho turned the page to see the next two handseals, which where Inu (Dog), and Ryu (Dragon). Once again he carefully studied the image first of the Inu handseal, he couldn't tell how in the world these signs where supposed to be similiar to the animals, he didn't know. Regardless he made attempt at the Inu handseal, and after a moment he deemed it not good enough to perform jutsu with. DC: 10 6 - 1 = 5 Fail 2/12
His face showed no enjoyment at messing up, it was not his way to get things wrong. He was going to strive for excellnce whenever he could, or at least do well enough where he could perform jutsu witht he handseals. He carefully studied the illustration of the handseal, noting where every finger went, not wanting to miss anything. Once he believed he hand it he made another attempt at the handseal. He carefully scrutinized the seal he'd made, and he believed he had this seal down now. DC: 10 12 - 1 = 11 Pass 3/12

Now that he'd gotten the Dog handseal, Hosho turned to the next one on the page, Ryu (Dragon). He carefully studied it, his face taking a very serious look as he carefully memorized every finger placement. After a moment of careful study, Hosho went about trying to do it using his own hands. After he thought he had it right, he compared it to the illustration, which confirmed his belief. DC: 10 14 - 1 = 13 Pass 4/12
Moving onto the next page, Hosho sighed slightly, why'd there have to be twelve of these things? Wouldn't only a few suffice? He shook his head though, it wasn't his to reason why, only but to do and die. Keeping that in mind he carefully studied the illustration, not wanting to mess up now. Once he believed he had it, he gave it a try, and then he compared his hands to the picture, much to his satisfaction. DC: 10 20 - 1 = 19 Pass 5/12
Hosho nver really got bad feelings, but when he turned the page something just didn't feel quite right. Hew carefully read over the page and illustration for the Uma Handseal, not wantingto miss a sinlge thing. After some time he put his hands together and tried to create the handseal himself. Unfortunately it didn't come out quite like it should've. DC: 10 6 - 1 = 5 Fail 5/12

Hosh was frowning as he went back to reading the page on the Uma handseal, he wanted to learn these and then get on with his actual training. After studying it for sometime, he decided that he'd make another attempt, this one hopefully successful. He carefully formed the Handseal, and then began to compare it to the picture. He gave a slight nod of approval, as he turned to the next seal. DC: 10 17 - 1 = 16 Pass 6/12
On the next page of the Academy Handbook was the O-ushi (Ox) handseal, and to Hosho it looked nothing like an ox. But whatever, he still had to learn it to become a ninja anyway. So he began to study the seal, hoping to get this one of the first try. After studying it for a moment, he made his first attempt on the Ox handseal, and, to his mild surprise, he got it right. DC: 10 17 - 1 = 16 Pass 7/12
Now that he had finished that seal, along with that page as a whole, he turned to the next one. The next pages contained the Saru, and O-hitsuji handseals. Since the Saru handseal was first, he began to work on that first, studying it very carefully. Once he believed he had it, he gave it a try, and, after a few brief moments of studying, he deemed it correct. DC: 10 18 - 1 = 17 Pass 8/12

Hosho turned to the next page, coming upon O-hitsuji, the ram. How appropiate he thought, a boy from the mountains, learning to create the chakra equivelent of a strong mountain animal. It was more complicated then he thought however, even after closely studying it he couldn't properly perform it. DC: 10 2 - 1 = 1 Fail 8/12
He went about closely studying the page again, he wanted to perform this one correctly, he thought it deserved that at least. Alas even after studying it, for what seemed like hours upon hours, he couldn't properly perform the hand seal. DC: 10 9 - 1 = 8 Fail 8/12
After deeming his previous performance unsatisfactory, he continued to study the illustration. He read every part as carefully as possible, taking in every detail, right down to the creases in the illustrations hands. Once again he made an attempt to perform the seal correctly, and failed yet again. DC: 10 6 - 1 = 5 Fail 8/12
Hosho was getting frustrated, which was ultimately the downfall of all great hunters and ninja. In his frustration, he stopped taking the time to carefully study the illustration. He just went out and tried to make the seal from memory, with predictable results. DC: 10 3 - 1 = 2 Fail 8/12

He may have messed up four times in a row, but Hosho was far from giving up. He remembered the first rule of being a hunter, he needed to relax and focus on getting it right the first time. He eased his breathing and then began to carefully read the illustration, before trying it yet again. Unlike his previous attempts this one came off without a hitch, much to his satisfaction. DC: 10 15 - 1 = 14 Pass 9/12
Moving onto the the next page over, Hosho studied the Nezumi hand seal. Once again, to him at least, it looked nothing like a rat but it wasn't his job to wonder why it was like that. Regardless, he carefully studied it over before finally making his own attempt at it, which he deemed perfectly successful. DC: 10 14 - 1 = 13 Pass 10/12

Hosho's technique of appraoching each seal as he would an animal while on the hunt, was proving highly effective. He got the next rather easily, perhaps too easily, he may have been in the zone, but was only making him cocky, and he was slowly losing his focus, it held up this time around however. Upon comparing his hands to the picutre he determined that it was a close enough match, and he went on to the next. 16 - 1 = 15, Pass
This was when his cockyness showed it's ugly head, he only gave the next seal a rather quick glance. Sure he was able to memorize it rather quickly, but his seal was incomplete, and upon his ispection he discovered as much, much to his jargon. Sighing, and personally humiliated, Hosho went back to studying his seal. 9 - 1 = 8 Fail

Hosho was a rather happy person as he regarded the last seal on the scroll, thank god it was the last one, he was quickly growing bored of this. At least the Ram was rather simple, though that was only compared to the Horse and Bird, but Hosho got it rather easily. It was still boring, he was a hunter by god, and all this book reading stuff rather annoyed him. So wrapping up the scroll, and picking up the two throwing hachets, Hosho set out to find something to hunt.

In the afternoon when class at the Academy had ended, Gyou walked inside The Under Area to condition himself so he could enter the Academy ready for whatever they were to throw at him. Little was on his mind aside from how he should train himself, though it was more than obvious he was determined. He wanted to prove himself and everyone that he can be a great ninja like his father.
Gyou decided now was better then never to start his training. He got on one knee and started to dart rocks that he found on the ground, at a stalagmite in his range. With each rock he aimed to try and increase his accuracy as well as his throwing strength. The rocks he threw, stuck to the stalagmite and lined up to where he wanted them to go.

Masaaki Sandaa Hp: 8/8 Cp: 5/5 MHp: 8/8
Masaaaki ran through the town and finally came to a halt within the Training Grounds. This large cave had withstood all the punishment that the several recent natural disasters could throw at it. Beneath the rest of the village, the cave was illuminated by the enormous crystals that grew from the earth all throughout the village. It was a wide open space, most of the stalagmites and stalactites destroyed from previous training sessions. Now the only remaining traces that the cave hadn't simply been manmade dotted around the outskirts of the "main area". There were numerous places to hide a small ball in this area, so Masaaki thought the ANBU might have ditched it here.
"If I were going to hide a ball, where would I hide it?"
The boys then rushed down from the stairs leading into the Training Area and began looking behind all the pock pillars. He tried to make a sport of it by running to gain speed, then side-swinging around the stalactites. It wasn't the best way to search the area, but at least he would have a fun time of it and boost his spirits. During the midst of his search Masaaki began making a game of it, pretending that he was evading enemy shinobi.
However, the cavern proved to be much larger than Masaaki expected, and his search soon dragged out to the point where he had to stop and review the areas he'd already cleared. To his surprise, Masaaki had only checked about a third of the area surrounding the Training Grounds in all the time he'd spent in the Training Grounds.
"I wonder if I could get Otousan to give me a hint."
As the boy continued his search, he wondered about possible ways to shortcut his search for the ball. With all the time he'd wasted so far, his sister was sure to have found a lead by now.
Find the Dragon Ball Somewhere in the Village (It's around the housing area... but do not head straight there...) There will be clues as to where the ANBU has been, because he was purposely sloppy. Awareness DC 15 0/5
