VIncent did notice his cloak was on fire and grew annoyed that someone did it because he really did like this cloak. It was modeled after the one his father would wear. He pulled it off and patted out the flames.

"I really do like this cloak." He grumbled as he said to Hiniko. "Okay, take whatever you like and try throwing it at me."

Before Hiniko threw the Kunai, Vincent quickly went through the hand seals of this particular Jutsu. Ram. Boar. Ox. Dog. Snake.

"Kawarimi no Jutsu," he called.

The kunai struck him on the shoulder but then a puff of white burst from him and what lay on the ground was a simple log with a note on it saying "Miss me?"

"Not just yet, Zin," Vincent said gravely, "I still need to learn two ninjutsu or genjutsu relating to my element. Then there is one more part. We must understand. Truly understand what it means to be a shinobi."

"Well," Vincent said as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a small stack of papers that looked almost like blank playing cards, "Sensei gave me these special pieces of paper made from a tree that is grown and fed with chakra. What you do is you hold onto the paper and try to project chakra into it and depending on how the paper will react will determine your chakra affinity. Such as if it's fire the paper will ignite and turn to ask. if it's water it'll become soggy. If it's earth it'll turn to dirt. If it's lightning then the paper will crumble. And if it's wind the paper will split in two. Sensei told me not to use these until I finished the basic jutsus."

Vincent took one of the pieces of paper and held it between his fingers and began to project the chakra through it. It was then that the paper began to grow hot and then it burst into flame like gasoline on an open fire before it crumbled to ash at his feet.

"Care to see yours, Zin?" He asked as he handed one slip of the paper to the young boy.

"Good thing, then." Vincent smiled, "but I still need to learn some Katon Jutsus."

Stepping aside he went to his desk and looked through the books and scrolls to find fire release jutsu.

Vincent had looked through the books and scrolls and came upon the basic katon jutsus.

"Katon: Ichi (Fire Release: One)" He read, "Description: The basic building block of a great many techniques down the line, this is presumably the very same skill that began the study of Katons. Molding their chakra through a simple seal of any choice, the user is able to focus it onto the tip of their index finger in the form of heat. With this, they can cut through things such as glass and rope with some difficulty. However, at this stage, control of one’s chakra is so minimal that this technique can only be used by one finger and essentially has no combat use."

He set down the scroll and thought very carefully upon how the scroll had said "A simple seal of any choice" but he understood that the Tiger Seal was the one that is used the most in Katon Jutsus and he decided to use that.

Placing his hands into the Tiger seal and concentrated upon molding his chakra into the tip of his finger. He could feel the tip of his finger growing warmer and warmer and then inching its wait to hot like feeling the side of a warm metal tea kettle.

Taking his hand away from the other he took out a piece of paper and began to run the tip along the surface of the paper seeing it cut a little but searing and burning the edges as if it were being cut by a flame.
