Ahkra lightly touched the boy's hand, turning it over. "Can you show me?" he asked softly. "I wouldn't want to force you to go through learning things you already know." He leaned down to kiss Acelin's palm, and led the boy up towards the center of the room, before stepping back, to give him some room.
By now, this had caught Kael's interest as well. He watched Acelin curiously, wondering if the boy would be able to summon his powers, and if so, what he would do with them. He whispered under his breath, even knowing that Acelin probably couldn't hear him from this distance. "Don't be afraid."

((Just wanted to let everyone know I'll be giving the beginning of this thread a little bit of a make-over, so don't freak out if you see the structure of the intro, rules, etc moving around. It'll be better in the long run, anyway, and I'll try to put up some pictures of the castle and stuff for everyone, too. I'll also be posting everyone's profiles up in the beginning of the thread, and eventually - not yet though - I'll ask you to delete your profile post when I get it up in the first page or two. Thanks for your patience! ^^ ))

Acelin tembled lightly from nervousness he blushed as Akra kissed his palm. At the center of the room he closed his eyes taking several deep breaths. Another memory...well feeling passed through him. He couldn't explain it his body was reacting on its own without much of his mind thinking. The only thing he focused on was his breath keeping him control of his nervous. His body acted on its own as he held his hands palm up in front of up. His mind shifted to thinking about wind, soon a breeze shifted through the room, a summer breeze. However it didn't last long for his body became tired, more from his abilities being dormant for too long and just now awakening.

Sam watched them a bit, smiling softly, and rolled his head back a bit to relieve a small bit of tension in his neck. Before stretching his arms above his head, and his red feathers ruffled at his back in response. "To.. be honest.." he was cut off momentarily to breathe before dropping his arms back at his sides. "I don't want to hear his whole introductory speech again."
He laughed lightly, and rested his hands in his lap. "But I do want to help take care of you to, Amune. I know the weather out there is unpredictable, and I wouldn't like it if you got sick if you didn't get the rest and nutrition you need."

Louie watched Acelin very curious he felt the breeze and clapped for the other he was so happy. Louie then stepped forward himself and stared at the stones. He breathed in and out trying to remain calm but he was so nervous and a little scared. Jade caught his interest so he picked up that first. It glowed in his hands filled him up with power he was a little startled by the feeling so much so that he almost dropped the stone. He then picked up the White Opal which glowed slightly showing him he was also slightly inclined to light as well. Then he picked up the pearl and also felt the power knowing his was also had a bit of water in him as well. However when he saw the stormy quartz he felt weak he suddenly collapsed right there and almost threw up too. "Help me..." he whimpered out feeling awful. ((Behold I shall be uber healy!!!!!))))

Shin had probably been in the forest all day yesterday, and this morning. He had been drenched by the storm that happened the day before, and even as he walked in the dim sunlight he still felt like he was going to freeze. A small grumble leaving his throat as he attempted to ignore how sick he was feeling right now. Shuddering from head to toe, and clutching his thin jacket around himself, cursing at his adoptive family for not giving him a proper ride to the school yesterday.
This is so cold, I wish I was there already. He grumbled lightly to himself, and held a hard cased leather bound luggage bag at his side that his hand was conveniently shaking from holding. Shin's eyes were on the ground, wanting to break down but also trying hard not to, and a fearful hate was rising within his chest. I wish I had help.

Jackal quietly approached the stones, avoiding the others for the time being as he faintly touched each stone at a time. The ones felt most at home with were; Black Opal, Kyanite, and Pietersite. He couldn't stand being near the White Opal for a moment as he paled, but kept silent, staying a good distance away from it. Putting his hands into his vest's pockets, and glancing over in the direction of the others who were already up here.
I don't get the point of this, he thought to himself. The light boy is too weak, it's just ridiculous, it's a stone. Dropping his gaze from them he was convinced to go back to his seat, not knowing what else there was to do from here on out. He was just getting a bit bored, and the stony facade came into play over his youthful features.

Ahkra's eyes widened a bit in surprise seeing Louie's strong response to the stormy quartz. He was about to reach down to help the boy, but Esqyn, despite being farther away, beat him to it.
"Louie!" he shouted, pale from worry as he picked the boy up in his arms, carefully taking him away from even the sight of the gray crystal. He let his power slide into the boy like liquid sunlight, soothing his nerves and reorienting him. He stroked Louie's hair gently, deeply concerned, keeping him close. "Are you okay??" He had taken the boy back to the seats, and held him, the boy curled up a bit in his lap for a bit of extra comfort. The elf bit his lower lip worriedly, continuing to let his power soothe him. ******** Raien sighed contentedly, his breath forming smoke-like tendrils in the chilly air. Just from his presence, the clouds drifted away from the sun, which shone down warmly on the wet earth. The fresh air was a relief to him, after being cooped up so much inside of his study, the sound of the forest comforting. His green-gold eyes admired the landscape with a rare smile on his lips, but suddenly he caught sight of a figure up ahead, in the trees. He blinked, but he wasn't imagining things. Frowning a bit in concern, he jogged up ahead. The poor boy looked more than worse for wear, and on the verge of breaking down. Raien frowned worriedly, putting a hand on the boy's shoulder. "Hey... you all right?" he asked. Seeing the boy shaking so badly, he pulled him close, into a hug, wanting to reassure him.

"Just a stone, hm?" Ahkra mused, catching Jackal's eye. "The way you avoided that white opal, I know that you know better than that. An adverse stone can render any one of us comatose, including you and I." He considered the new student for a moment, curious, quiet. "Jackal, isn't it? How do you like Saekii so far?"

Shin shivered, and looked up at the man who suddenly appeared. At first he was afraid he was seeing things because of his exhaustion, but then he felt the mans hand and then a hug. Shuddering lightly in his grasp, and looking at him faintly with a blurred gaze. "I... I'm lost." He whispered lightly in response, "A-and... it's so cold..." The boy was on the verge of breaking down, trying his hardest to keep himself calm, but he hadn't slept and he was emotionally hurt that he couldn't figure out the way to the school all on his own.

"Well, I know better." Jackal responded, raising his dark blue eyes towards Ahkra. "The school is alright so far, in my opinion, but isn't it a bit too early for that question?" He inquired, watching the older man with his expression unchanging. The boy had the voice of someone who had authority issues, and yet in his records it probably never said that. People change after all, especially after something so horrifying happening to them.

Louie curled up in the others arms shaking a but finally calmed down. "What was that? I felt..so ill..." he said softly. "Esqyn how did I do?" he asked softly. "Will..I be a good healer?" he asked. He hoped he had would be he thought he would be anyway.

Ahkra raised an eyebrow, appraising the boy. "I should say it's never too early to ask," he commented. "Now then, I'm guessing just from the looks of you that you've already dabbled in magic quite a bit. What level are you at, now, so that we don't waste your time teaching you the basics you already know?" ******** Raien stroked Shin's hair gently, holding him close, trying to soothe the boy. "It's all right now," he said softly. "I'll take care of you." The sun in response shone a bit more warmly upon the two. Raien used a bit of his power to warm the boy and dry him off, his magic like sun rays in August. "We'll be there soon, and they you can rest. Everything will be okay." He hugged the boy tightly, before letting him go for a moment. "I'll carry you back, all right?" He gave a reassuring smile, before stepping back a bit, shapeshifting into dragon form, just slightly larger than the size of a cougar, sleek sky-blue with golden markings and horns. His wings stretched out a full fifteen feet span, at least, and his tail swished from side to side thoughtfully, the green-gold eyes with their slitted pupils watching the boy in concern. He nuzzled the boy lightly with his arched snout, motioning for the boy to climb onto his back. ******** Esqyn smiled gently, hugging Louie close, and kissed the tip of his nose. "You did just fine," he told the boy, lightly stroking his hair. "And I know you'll make a wonderful healer. Hell, you might just give me a run for my money." He winked, hoping to cheer the boy up. His words were not misplaced or exaggerated, though. Louie did indeed have strong potential for healing, and with guidance, would easily become a protege, just as Esqyn had been. "The thing that made you so ill was the smoky quartz. It means you have a vulnerability to air or weather magic, and should be careful of it. Also, you should try to avoid smoky quartz and phantom quartz...."

Louie smiled and blushed a little at all the attention he was getting wondering if he was going to make the others students gentle. He wondered if this sort of thing were even allowed at school and nervously waited for what Ahkra's reaction would be. Despite his worries he could not help but cuddle closer. "Good...I want to help people like you do Esqyn." he said seemingly to enjoy the praise from the other. "So Earth..water and light then who will my teachers be?" he recited the names of which magics he believed he was good with if he had heard the speech correctly.

As Acelin went back to his seat he saw Louie walk up and take the test. When he saw him colapse he became worried but settled slightly as Esqyn treated him. He watched the others intriqued but also becomming slightly bored. His thoughts wondered to the pure dark room and the sound of chains. He didn't know why but he felt like he needed to find it.
