He hit the ground in a half run and dropped her when the momentum wouldn't hurt her, then drew his sword.
"YEEEEHAW!" Kindle grinned, still flying around the clearing, she was pulling out grenades and various other explosives, chucking them at the other ponies.

and ooooh did the dragons retaliate... in the air. none of them seemed willing to land.... Kindles explosives hit some, but mostly their shields, not magical ones, shields tied to their flanks, batted them away into the forest below. Magical fire bolts lanced from them to her.

She bobbed and weaved, coming to land on the ground. "Shield would be good!"

Natalia landed with her and pulled a shield around them, another bubble dome.
The dragons circled above.
