Suprised, blinking eyes was her response for a moment. She knew the Hokage was motherly, but sometimes it suprised. This certain moment reminded of her Hanzel and Gretal, (Sp? xD) where Gretal pushed the old witch into the oven. Except...vice versa. Chihiro breathed in, letting out a sigh that was slightly skeptical. She pushed her hands to her side pocket in ressurance to herself that her kuni were there and pushed away from the door. Closing it behind her, she walked over to the Hokage and gave a respectful little bow. "I figured I would come as soon as I could." She shrugged her shoulders, grabbing some oven mitts that were hanging off the wall and slipping them on. _____

"Now you're presence was requested by the Uzumaki Alliance... unfortunately they seem to have... left without several members of the people I offered to them." She said, clearly cross with the Alliance members.
"My contacts in Mist have told me they just got the temporary Kage to sign to agreement... what do you think about that Chihiro-chan?"
There was a little venom in her voice though it was far from slated towards the genin.

[ If I seem like I have no idea what I'm talking about it just means I'm not up-to-date. Inform me, please, if I get something wrong. xD ]
"Well, Hokage-sama..." Chihiro paused as she put the tray of cookies down on top of the stove, sliding the mitts off. "It seems, always a little odd to have a temporay Kage, but I'm just skeptic. I don't think they'll hold to any agreement, even if on paper." She glanced at the Hokage, "in blood." She shook her head, Chihiro had been paranoid about everything that last few days. She got annoyed with the milkman once, but that night she hadn't gotten enoug sleep. She had scared him to the point he probably wouldn't have many good nights either. _____

"Then we are in agreement..." She said as she pulled a china platter from her desk and quickly flicked the cookies from the hot tray to the large platter nonchalantly with a practiced hand of a grandmother. "they can not be trusted without assuring it ourselves."
"I intent to go and talk with the Mizukage... and I would like you to be my escort." She added matter-of-factually.

Chihiro almost dropped one of the cookies she was placing on the china plate herself. She brushed her hair out of her face and looked up at the Hokage, suprise and delight in her eyes. "Thank you, Hokage-sama!" She grinned, "Is there a certain time we're leaving?" She rubbed the back of her head, remembering the trip with Master Miso and her recently-disappeared team mates. That trip did not go so well. She wondered how Master Miso was now? _____

"Well... I was hoping to leave as soon as the cookies were cooled if that's ok with you. You can't very well hope to appease your neighbor without cookies am I right?" She smiled earnestly, a certain light about her.

"You are right!" Chihiro chimed, eager to get on with the mission. With the Hokage, this was certainly a privilge! She was suprised and pleased to be given this task. Despite the fact that she had been task-less for awhile now. She was also excited to just hear that she had been asked by the Uzumaki Alliance. Though felt horrible for not coming when requested. "Are the Uzumaki Alliance at The Mist Village?" _____

Considering it for a long moment she fanned the cookies with a small, simple, paper fan,
"If I had to guess... I would put them in Falls by now. Perhaps Snow. They have received all the necessary signatures besides those two from what I have heard... however that is not accurate information, lets call it educated speculation."

Wiggling her fingers in thought, she paused and forked them through her hair. "I would like to meet them, sometime. But I keep getting these rumors that though they're great ninja...they lack in the cheerful attitude apartment." She grimaced, not really wanting to believe in rumors, but what did she know? She was still a genin. A genin with great potential! Don't you forget that! She straightened her posture a little bit as she pep-talked/yelled herself. Remain on your wits, Chihiro, not on gossip! _____

The Hokage's thoughts turned to the demonic trio of which she was receiving reports of.
Warui, the cackling hell spawn who could keep his trap shut just about as well as he could keep it in his pants...
Zane, the spacey question ridden little bugger with no common sense...
And Maha, the fem fatal with no shame and pretend manors...
"They are skilled ninja performing admirably." Was all she said not letting on at all what she was thinking. Taking out a toothpick she poked and prodded the cookie.
"Almost done then! Would you be a doll and grab my hat and cloak? It's in the closet over there..." She said pointing to the corner of the room where her Hokage shall and hat were hung up. The genital old lady set to rummaging around in her desk for some sort of bag to put the cookies in.

"Yes Lady Hokage." Chihiro shook her head to clear away her thoughts and went over to the closet, sliding it open with ease. She shoved a coat over and nabbed the hat while the pulling the cloak down as well. Her heart skipped a beat as she folded it neatly over her arm and closed the closet with her foot. This is it, a mission. With the Hokage! It makes me so excited, I think I'm going to burst! All she could do was grin, though, as she stepped over to the Hokage's side and waited. Holding the cloak out for her. _____

Placing the cookies in a small sack she cheerfully took the robe and put it on rather quickly for an old lady. Affixing the hat upon her head she truly looked like a Hokage.
"Shall we then? I wouldn't want these cookies to be any colder than they are already..." She smiled extending an elbow in good cheer.

Chihiro took in a deep breath, smiling. It was good thing she rather live off the land then take a bunch of stuff with her. Chihiro nodded, "We shall." She slid open the door and stepped through it, linking arms with the Hokage. (which I'm guessing is what you meant by extending the elbow. xD) She smiled to herself gleefully. _____

Passing out of the door soon lead to passing out of the Hokage's office all together.
"So my dear, you a member of the Hyuuga clan... I'm sorry to say I've only made their acquaintance recently when they visited me in the Office right after I was "officially" appointed. How is the clan?" She asked with genuine interest. For whatever reasons she was in charge... and knowing about the various clans was something she had skimped on. She didn't like politics but that didn't mean she could avoid them.

The question hit Chihiro like a punch to the gut. Her breath was sucked out of her and her eyes went wide like a frightened person photographed in death. However, this reaction happened so fast, it was in the blink of an eye. "Well...um, the clan is going...good. The main clan and branch clan dislike each other, as always." In truth, Chihiro had no idea. She hadn't been to the Hyuuga Main Clan House in years. She still had to find that man, that man who had kidnapped her mother. Or, kill the headmaster. Whichever broke her first.
Was her mother still alive? Was there really any point for looking for the culprit? In some ways Chihiro was glad she left the Clan, but in some ways she was sad. That place had been her home however hard it could be sometimes. But, her mother had been her mother and was gone. Just like the Clan for Chihiro. Gone. Out of her life. Or, until she chose. _____
