He relaxed, and let his head drop back on the edge of the couch. His leg was throbbing, and that was never good. Or maybe it was, because he could still feel it. The twinnie kat waited on Azzura to come back, and he smiled slightly to himself. She had a nice place here, fit with the pretty fae and the spunky attitude. Such a wonderful girl... the kind he could take home to ma... if he had a ma.
"Thanks Azzura."

Azzurra came back in just in time to hear him. "I should be the one thanking you... you saved my life," she replied quietly as she knelt beside him. She handed him a glass of water, and then started to clean the blood off his leg. "Drink that, you've lost a lot of blood, so you'll need a lot of water."
(If you want to say how his leg is, go ahead. If not, I'll put it in my next post.)

He guzzled the water, after plucking it from her hand. He then held onto the glass, giving himself something to do and concentrate on. Not breaking her glass! Maybe he could stay awake that way.
"I'm just glad I walked you home..."
He trailed off, not wanting to think what would have happened had Azzura walked by herself that night. He just concentrated on not dropping, and thus breaking, the glass he had in his hand.

Azzurra nodded. "Thank you, Aidan," she murmured as she worked.
As she wiped the blood away from his leg, she found that it had mostly stopped bleeding - a good sign. The cut was clean, and made with a sharp knife, which would help it heal properly as long as it didn't get infected. She thoroughly cleaned the whole area, making sure to get all the mud and random gunk off his leg, and then she grabbed the jar of ointment she'd brought out with her. "This will sting," she warned him, and then wincing in sympathy, she started to liberally slather the ointment onto the injury.

She said it would sting; but despite bracing himself for it, Aidan grunted when it hit the wound. His eyes squeezed closed, and suddenly he had no trouble staying awake.
"It's all good. What's good for you hardly ever tastes good or feels good at first, right?"
His laughter was weak, but no longer nervous, as it had been before. They were safe; she was safe. And that was the way it should be. He'd have to warn his aunt; as she walked through that forest all the time... but then again it was Oni. That made him really chuckle.
"I forgot, Oni normally walks through that forest. Was going to warn her, but I forgot about my aunt. She's strong enough to be me, her son, and her nephew up all at the same time. She wouldn't have had any problems what so ever."

Azzurra looked up at him. "You should probably still warn her, anyone can get in trouble if caught by surprise." She finished bandaging his leg and stood, wiping her paws on a wet cloth. "I might have something to help you sleep... Would you like another glass of water as well? And does Oni know much about healing? I feel like someone who knows more than me should look at it." She reached out to brush his cheek, then blushed and quickly grabbed his glass, leaving to get him more water.

"Yeah, she knows about a lot of stuff, having to take care of the uncles. Hyde always came home scraped up, from my understanding."
He nodded to getting something to help him sleep, understanding that he would be crashing here. The twinnie had caught the blush, but he couldn't process everything to handle it at the moment. Maybe after he got some sleep... in the morning then. He'd handle it in the morning.

She returned shortly with a powder, which she mixed into a new glass of water and gave him to drink. She then brought him a blanket and two pillows - one to sleep on, and one to prop up his leg so it wouldn't swell as much. "If you need anything, just call me. That's my bedroom there," she told him, gesturing towards a door. "The bathroom is right over there." With one last worried look, she disappeared into her own bedroom. She was exhausted herself.

Aidan took note of the different rooms and offered her a smile. Then he downed the powder drink and pulled the blanket over his face (his typical way of sleeping). It was just a few moments later when the twinnie passed out.
After a good night's sleep, he woke up to the smell of something being cooked. His mouth twitched and his eyes looked around in a haze. This was not his place! But after he swung his legs over and tried to stand, he remembered everything that had happened the night before in a flash. HA! Standing was not a good idea!! Aidan quickly sat back down and decided to call out for her.
"Azzura?"

"Just a minute, Aidan!" The young female appeared a few minutes later, from what was apparently the kitchen. "How are you feeling?" she asked as she came over, quickly checking him over. "I'm cooking pancakes. You do like pancakes, right? I can make an egg for you, or bacon, or something else..." She suddenly seemed unsure of herself.

And just a few short minutes later, Azzura showed up. Aidan felt his heart skip a beat. Now that was weird. The medication maybe? He offered her a smile and a chuckle.
"Remember Azzura? I'm like a garbage can. As long as you made a ton of it, I'll love every bite."
Pancakes sounded wonderful. His stomach rumbled and the tall kat patted a paw over it to settle. Good things came to those who waited after all, and food was something that was always good when the fae who cooked it put love into it.

She smiled back at him, the brief mood gone like it had never existed. "I'll make a bunch for you, then. And get you some more water... then we can check your leg, and start figuring out how to get you over to Oni's house." She disappeared, and didn't come back for five or ten minutes. When she did come back, she came bearing a heaping plate of pancakes, and a cold glass of water. She sat down next to Aidan, giving him the big plate of pancakes and just taking one for herself.

Ah yes, Oni. She'd love to chew him out for getting hurt like this. Oh yes she would. The tall fae brightened up considerably when the food came out however. As soon as she plopped the plate in his hands he was working on devouring the entire lot of pancakes.
And in a short amount of time, the entire thing was gone and Aidan felt satisfied. Here was a boy who could eat!! He grinned, and lazed back on the couch.
"Why don't you ask someone to go get her? I'm not sure if I can walk on this leg to be honest. Even with help."

Azzurra bit her lip. "Oh... you're probably right. And it's probably better that we keep you off it." She stood up and went into a different room than any of the ones she'd pointed out to Aidan the night before. A few minutes later, she and another regular - a dark one covered in stars - appeared out of the room. The other regular waved to Aidan and then hurried out the door.
Azzurra sat back down next to Aidan. "My roommate's going to go get Oni." She rested a paw against his cheek. "You haven't said how you're feeling... Is your leg better? Worse?"
(Go ahead and have Oni come, if you want to.)
