Leena had lowered her mask when she had gotten inside the house, obviously troubled at what she was hearing. The bandits appeared to be a unknown group that was headed by someone possibly close to her. "Normally I'd be concerned at someone spying within my home, but in this case it will slide. I have an idea of who it may be." She murmured, pushing herself up with a heavy sigh. "Thank you Rafaela for telling me all of this. If you can, speak to the other towns on the outer part of our kingdom. I will try to come up with a solution as quickly as possible. If you would like, I can have some of my men be stationed out here to help with protection." She offered, handing her empty tea cup to the woman.
Rafaela nodded, "I'll send out that message. I think I'd feel more comfortable if my people knew how to fight. But having some forces may allow the villagers feel a bit more secure. But if they are no longer wanted here, will they go?"
"Yes, all you have to do is tell me. Would you be comfortable with me leaving a spirit behind? That way I can talk with you easily and it's obviously a bit hard to kill. I understand if you'd be a bit hesitant to have something of that sort here." She offered, lifting her mask up since she should head over to the makeshift hospital to help out if she could.
Mulling that over for a moment, Rafaela did nod, "Alright. But I hope it won't cause any mischief while here. How will I know when it's there?"
"It won't. When you need to speak to me, it will appear in front of you. Thank you again Rafaela. Take care." Leena answered, heading out the door with a nod to the woman, noticing how she bowed, getting greeted by Vadasz screeching and landing on her other shoulder. "Oh jeez boy, I was fine." She chuckled, running a finger along his feathers before looking to Ri. "Can you lead the way and let Kai know I'm on my way?" She asked softly, giving the dragon a small smile.

((I'll be on again at about 10 tonight, sorry I haven't been on any during the days...))
Ri nodded. Uh-oh... Might wanna hurry. She's getting mad... And now she's ignoring them, but the woman's still yelling. And sobbing. And screaming bloody murder... Ri told her, sliding down from Leena's shoulder and running towards the hospital, moving fairly quickly considering her size. This was when Kai lectured the woman with the daughter, the ones Kai was now ignoring.
"Get off of me!" The woman shoved Dais away, producing a dagger from somewhere. "Now heal her, or Gods help me..." She pointed the blade at Kai's back, growing madder when she received no response from the oblivious Kai. With a growl she swiped the dagger across Kai’s back, drawing a thin line of blood and slicing her shirt open, revealing two jagged scars along Kai’s shoulder blades. The room was silent, watching with wide eyes. “Mistress, put it down.” Kai said quietly, still not turning around. Another swipe went along one of the scars, and then she moved fast enough that many didn’t realize she’d moved. She grabbed the woman’s arm, eyes flashing gold and loosing any warmth they usually held. “But they can’t just think they can tear them away. Couldn’t do anything but cry, scream at them to stop, leave them be. I didn’t mean to, mistress, I wasn’t myself. But I did it and had to be sent away, had to have them torn away. Your girl isn’t you, not a limb. Rather her than your arm, your leg? Head?” Her voice grew louder as she spoke, more random. As she spoke the dagger melted, burning through the woman’s skin. Kai never loosened her grip, seemingly unaware of what was occurring. Her usually tentative hold on sanity had vanished when the scar was reopened, bringing back the memories that had driven her insane long ago.
Ri, realizing what was occurring, shifted forms and flew through the streets, making herself slow just enough that Leena wouldn’t loose her. “Leena! They opened again, she’s gone. Completely snapped, worse than the last time.” the dragon yelled, scared for Kai and what she’d do this time.

((Thy, let me know if you want me to change anything.))
Goodwill never necessarily meant that good things would come of it. Dais had seen such things happen where someone from a different race would come in and help, wouldn't be able to fix one problem, and then be beaten up over it.
Kai's scars also interested Dais. The position of them almost reminded him of something, but his mind did not dally on the topic since the mother was having issues.
Unfortunately, the mother was the upstart this time, and Kai seemed to have lost it. She didn't seem the usual more carefree person that Dais had seen earlier. The assassin knew that the situation was becoming very bad once the dagger started melting. This would not go well with the village, and Kai didn't seem to notice.
Magic, of course, Dais thought. Everyone else seemed frozen in fear, a bystander in the action. Dais decided that he had seen many worse things and that he was going to have to step in before anything else happened, whether or not, he put himself in danger. So much for staying out of everyone's attention. Fast reflexes would be a must here.
First, Dais knocked the melting dagger out of the mother's hand, letting it fall to the ground without harming anyone else. The mother's burnt hand could wait. If anything else happened....
He didn't really know Kai, and he didn't know if his next action would work. He aimed a punch at Kai's face.... because slapping was unseemingly for a man.

At the punch Kai dropped the woman's arm, stumbling a step back. "They're not settled? They want more of me? But of course they do, they'll take it all from us all. The girl and the others and the homes and the wealth. Never settled, never alright. Always wanting more and more and more. But they can't have it, don't you see? They'll always come back and never get what they want cause it'll all be gone, nothing left at all..." Kai was almost giggling, though she said her words matter-of-factly. She cast her gaze around the room, not seeing any of the villagers. Only the wooden walls. She looked to the woman again, crouching down beside her as the walls began to smoke. "It'll all be over. No more bandits or pain or lonely or leaving. They can't win." she said earnestly, now truly giggling.

Not only a librarians' assistant. Well, that was going to show now if he used certain options. Kai was in another world and apparently burning up the area. Unfortunately, not all of the villagers would be able to get out in time. There were some that were injured. Putting an earth based shield over all of them would be too much of an effort. The most efficient solution was to stop Kai.
Aldon made a "squee" sound and leapt toward Kai, landing on the spy's head, and then making loud noises toward Kai.
What to do to quell Kai's "madness"? What did Gannel's king lack? Kindness. I can't believe I'm doing this to a stranger. Aldon had the idea, and as ridiculous as it sounded, it could be shocking enough to stop the mage. Imagining Kai to be a large Aldon, Dais attempted to embrace Kai and hold her tight. The action would remind him of a young girl he had once known.

Kai froze when he hugged her, almost realizing what she was doing until she felt his hands on her back, and the memories flooded her mind again. No, this wouldn't do at all. A second later she cast a spell that would send a small shockwave out from her, directed solely at Dais. It would send him flying across the room from the force of the spell and her will controling it, most likely for him to hit the wall beside the door.
Ri, giving up on leading Leena, sped through the streets, reaching the hospital about the time Dais would hit the wall.

Leena nodded at the knowledge that Kai was getting mad, grimacing as she started walking faster, knowing this couldn't be ending well. s**t. I hope she- OH ********> After hearing that Kai had snapped, she broke into a run, thinking quickly of a teleportation spell since she had to get all the way across town to get there. Throwing down a vial filled with something, she was suddenly gone, reappearing at the door since Vadasz had given her an image when speaking to her on her shoulder.
She got there in time to see Dais go flying, hearing how people were quite afraid. "s**t. Hang tight Dais. EVERYONE OUT! It's a precaution, but a wise one." She shouted the second part to everyone, watching as those who were left and could leave did. Glancing around, she saw Ri very close by, biting her lower lip as she knew this could be bad. "Ri, forgive me." She spoke to the dragon, drawing a sword and swinging it at the dragon, at the same time thinking a spell that would heal the two wounds on Kai's back. She was prepared to suffer any wound or none, it depended solely on Kai.

Aldon went flying along with Dais. The man hit the wall, and the ferret hit his chest. If Dais wasn't physically trained, he probably would have been injured or knocked out. The man shook his head to clear it and ignore the pain and eyed Kai with one eye covered for better focus. He seriously considered trapping Kai inside an earthern structure.
But at that moment, Ri and Leena arrived. The queen seemed to have some sort of idea in the works as she chanted and swung at the dragon. Very well. He would offer her support. She had better relations with Kai and probably knew better.

Ri squeaked, drawing Kai's attention. "NO!" Kai threw a bolt of pure magic at Leena, freezing when she saw Ri dart out of the way of the sword, and blocked the magic from hitting Leena. "No..." she breathed, a mumbled spell bringing Ri to her. Tears streaked Kai's face as she gently held her dragon, closing her eyes a moment later as she curled up around Ri. A soft blue light emenated for a moment before fading, as she sent all her magic out to heal and fix everything. Everyone she hadn't reached or Dais had bandaged was fully healed, the building was no longer about to burst into flame, and Ri had healed and returned into Kai's arm. It took most her magic, almost everything that she had left, but knowing what she had almost done... Even after it was all repaired she didn't move, crying into her arms and hating that she'd lost control again.

Leena was ready to catch the blow of magic, but Ri blocked it for her, sheathing her sword, though she did cut her hand in the palm. Never draw ones sword without the intention of drawing blood. Running over to Kai, she didn't pay attention to how her hand healed by the wave of magic that flooded the place, crouching down next to her friend. "Shhhh.... Shhh... It's alright now." She said softly, her hand running down her friends back, or rather the air right above it, fixing her shirt before she touched Kai's back.
Closing her eyes, she had to focus upon the image of a bubble in her mind, then thinking the word for a healing spell, having it spread across the entire room except for the impregnated girl. For her, she simply removed the child from her womb and let it die in peace and then healed her after that. She covered everyone and everything else that Kai missed. She was already tired from using necromancy earlier, then healing the town. Now she was exhausted. But that didn't matter. "Dais, are you alright?" She called, getting up to check on him since Kai was mostly alright, knowing Ri could probably help her more than her in comfort. She offered him a hand to help him up, glancing to the towns folk that were standing outside the door. "It's alright, you can come back in now. Forgive what just happened." She bowed her head to them which could be considered ironic considering she was technically of higher status, not that she really cared.

Kai was well aware of the wide berth she was given, though it was another minute before she moved. Her eyes were dry again and Ri was cradled in her arms as she stood and went to Leena and Dais. "Forgive me, I wasn't in control of myself..." she murmured, her eyes lowered and not looking to Dais or Aldon. "Leena, I'll be in the field where we arrived. Vadasz can find me if need be." she said quietly, slipping outside and hurrying away from the village. "Not again, Ri, not again. They were over, I was together... But she broke it all so easy..." she murmured, sitting down on top of a small hill and staring out at the forrest. With a thought she send the rest of her magic to Leena, knowing the Queen would need it more than she did.

Vadasz did receive orders from Leena to find Kai since he had flown in right at the end of it all when people were going back in. He spotted them quickly, all of a sudden landing next to Kai, his body shuddering before he became human, the charm around his neck flashing as shadows enveloped him to give him clothes. He sat next to her, feeling the waves of emotions coming from her. "Kai, it happens. You had a traumatic experience, and it's something that will probably never vanish." He said softly, touching her shoulder gently, letting a warm, happier sort of feeling flow through the touch into her. He was only doing what he could to help.

"But it was a decade ago, maybe longer. I don't know how long it was before I was in Mereth. And after the last village I thought it wouldn't happen again." Kai murmured, remembering all to well what happened then. There was still enough magic in the air that no one was able to go there, not without adverse effects. And there was nothing left where the tiny village used to be, just rock.

Vadasz sighed, holding down his own emotions as he continued to send her a stream of happier emotions that were meant to soothe her current ones. "Sometimes the scar just runs too deep and will be with you forever. Do you know what I mean?" He had his own scars, but he didn't think they ran as deep as hers though. "And you know, some will have flashbacks always. Don't be too hard on yourself ok?" He was trying to help, he really was, but he wasn't sure how good a job he was doing.

Kai smiled sadly, twisting around to hug him and laughing at Ri's sqeak of protest when she was caught between them. "Sorry dear... And yes, I understand. Clear as cyrstals. Where did that expression come from? Because you can't see through them at all..." she looked to Vadasz quizically, acting herself again.
