YES YES YES!!!
'Twas the day of the C Minor scale test. My BD normally lets us play the major scale before the minor, to get us into the right key. Well, that day he scrambeled the names on the list, so I ended up next to last. We were running out of time in the period, so he wouldn't let me play the major first. I played the test in the wrong key gonk I was SOOO pissed at him...

I have in the past.
I think I'm going to again, too. On June 1, I'm auditioning to be in a Concert Band at a new school and I'm playing the movement, 'Jupiter', from 'The Planets'. I afraid I'm going to totally bomb it.

I had to do playing tests in middle school, and there was one I did with another person, and man, it sounded bad. The kid I was with wasn't very good, I feel kinda bad for saying, and...well, it was just kinda butchered. sweatdrop

xp Yeah, the first time I tried out for high school band and my final. My tryout failed and I was placed in Jazz band since no one wanted to be in wind symphony and my final I messed up, but managed to scrape by with a b+

we had to play a scale and i got to a high A on trumpet
and then i bombed MAMBO by leonard bernstein

I don't know, I already posted earlier about how horrible I am at tests, but when we got chair results, I was astonsihed to see I had second chair in the good band!
And this after I stopped twice in the sight reading before realizing I already knew the song.... x_x
But I guess I did well enough in the other parts....
But yeah, so I guess it's not as terrible as I thought it was to playing test.

OMG! Half of our final in band was a playing test and we had to play four of the sharp major scales. but we also had to tell the director the name of the scale and i complete forgot everything the names. I swear that had to be the biggest brain fart I have ever had in my life! It was really bad. But luckly I got a 100 on the written test so I got and 80 over all and it dropped my grade down to a 98. sad

my BD video tapes everyone's scale tests and puts them on our school's website. it's awful xp my friend messed up and asked if she could start over, but he left the tape running. redface

I played through all my scales too fast. I got all the notes right. But I had to do it over because my bd said he didn't know if I was playing notes or slurring. It was THAT fast.

I can only remember the Bb, C, Eb, F, Ab, and G scales D'; .
Last year we didn't have to do any scale tests, but we came close to doing them. The only tests we do are the memorization of the field show to make sure that everyone has it down.
How many scales are there? x'D I've forgotten and I haven't even been out of school for a month yet.
