She nodded in understanding and wandered closer to the building, almost expecting a hymn to be heard. She wasn't sure why that would be fitting, but she began to suspect it was because of the serenity of the current state of this place. "It's not that unbelievable, but then again, how many things that are thought to not exist do?" She herself was the prime example of that.

A peaceful hymn quietly started playing. "Well, some things just aren't normal, and this is one of them. I think it's getting late in the real world, so I'm going to be going. You can stay in this realm if you'd like, or come back with me. Gensokyo is always open to Shadows who want a peaceful place to live." He smiled and strode into the Shrine, exiting through the Television. It would be slightly awkward if the girl followed him through that, since it went to his bedroom, but...

Hotaru heard past the hymn and looked at the male. He seemed to be on his way, so she smiled and nodded. "Good night then, Rednal-san," she responded quietly, and sat to look at a small patch of flowers. For the night, she decided she should stay there, since she honestly had no where else to go.

Rednal sighed as he stepped out of the Television and into Hakurei Shrine, where he simply sat down, resting his head on his knees. "I guess this was inevitable... he muttered. "Every time I'm open and try to get to know somebody, they abandon me for somebody else... Tch..." Overall, it was difficult to get Rednal to be bothered or upset, since he liked watching other people. A problem, however, was that he was so accepting of others that it was much, much harder for him to deal with rejection and the feeling of abandonment. Outside Hakurei Shrine, the perfect sunny weather vanished, replaced by black clouds that started pouring down rain. Gensokyo was truly a reflection of his wishes.

The shadow girl, who had stayed in the land for convenience, noticed the change in weather. She stood from where she'd been resting and began walking in the rain. Shortly afterwords, she saw someone with a recognizable emotion. Hotaru let out a small sigh, more out of worry than anything, and walked up to him. "Rednal-san, why are you troubled?" she asked quietly. She didn't have to, because who could over hear them? Still, she felt like gentleness was the way to go.

"I had a... bit of a dispute with a friend." Rednal answered eventually. "Don't worry, you're safe no matter what the weather here is like." he was quiet for a few more moments. "Somebody I like was with somebody else, but that doesn't really bother me all that much. Sure, I'd be ecstatic if she really liked me in return, but I don't think our relationship would be very good if only one of us honestly cared. Rather, the person she was with had done something to make my best friend cry. Or pretend to cry, I should say. I'd pretty much guessed things from the start, but my friend isn't somebody I can just leave be, even if it is only pretend. Our relationship is... strange, I suppose. But I wanted to know what had really happened, and I asked the girl I liked to trust me a little, just long enough for me to figure out the specifics and determine who I really should be upset with, if anybody. Instead, she just got really mad at me." he chuckled wryly. "I'm not a very strong person, you see, whatever my abilities are here. I can't deal with rejection of that sort; to be nice to somebody and open up to them, only to have them shove me away like I'm a monster the first time things are a little rocky. I can't understand why things like that happen." the storm outside quieted a little, enough to be noticable, though it was still raining. Despite his words, he seemed to be calming down.

She listened, nodding when something made sense to her, and when it was apparent he was done, she looked up to him. "Perhaps... She was unsure of how to deal with the situation. You humans are easily susceptible to... what was it? Stress? And knowing that your other friend was lying but blaming the other party was, forgive me but, irrational. Jealousy is a strange thing, indeed," Hotaru sighed. She may not have known the situation, nor humans very well, but she hoped that what she had said would help.
She casted him a small smile before speaking again. "Make arrangements to speak with the girl, and clear it up. From what I understand, maybe it was an 'act of the moment' thing."

Rednal chuckled. "I can't stand to see Yuno cry. I own her heart, after all. I suppose feelings like that are what it means to be human." he said before typing out a message on his cellphone, connecting it through to the real world more through willpower than anything else. The Land of Fantasy was where things he imagined could occur, and his mind was the only true limit. Quote: To: Riika From: Rednal I'd like to apologize for getting upset at your companion earlier... Seeing that Rednal was in a better stature, she stood and looked up at the sky. "Human, huh?" she murmured, thinking to herself for a moment, then dropped her head. "What a joke," she said bitterly, but smiled at the boy after. "I will return to the human world. It'd be a waste to be human and not socialize. I hope you will be forgiven, Rednal-san." With what she felt was her job completed, she began to walk towards where she felt was the exit.
