Tomoro quietly ate her food after a while, and leaned back. "I'm full... thanks for staying with me, not many people do that. Only a few close people that I know." Him... I miss him... even though I feel that I am not enough for him...I just don't measure up.. but I have to see him. "Zero..." Tomoro spoke quietly, looking down. "I'm sorry, but I have to bail out on you again. It's really important. Like your love for Seyla." Tomoro stood up, and pulled a twenty dollar bill out of her pocket, and the seaweed she grabbed with Bukotsu. "Thank you." Tomoro smiled, and without an answer, she took off east in search of Bukotsu.
What am I getting myself into...? I know I'm going to regret this... I told mom I shouldn't come here. I wish I didn't have this love addiction. Then I would never feel this. Tomoro stared at her seaweed, and took a tiny nibble of it. The saltiness burned her tongue, and she winced. Slowly, it will take effect... only when all of this is eaten will it finally finish me off... Tomoro set off to wander around the entire campus, but decided to stop at the greenhouse first, to check on her plants.

>>Jocelyn slipped into the hall silently, avoiding the crowd beside her. Pausing, she glanced around, holding her brown paper to her chin. How funny I must look. Now holding her lunch to her side, she strutted into the hall, chin high, heels clunking againest the stone hall. She spotted the seat at the end of one table and sat down.

Jasmine briskly walked into the hall, hoping to find an isolated seat quickly. The bag in her hand crinkled with every step as her leg hit it. To her dismay, she found that all the tables had a least one person. Stopping, and feeling the rush of other students around her, she saw the girl she thought was least likely to harass her. She slipped into the seat across from the girl, giving a meek smile.

>>Jocelyn glanced up, looking at the girl who now sat across from her. She crunched her nose, obviously annoyed, before trying to smile. "Hey," she said, before leaning over her lunch again. Nothing can be more miserable then a tuna sandwhich.

"Hi, what's your name?'' She opened her bag, and its crinkle joined the racous of hungry voices, eager to eat their lunches. She silently hoped that her gift for hearing sounds, no matter how quiet, so clearly, wouldnt get in the way of any possible friendships here. It had before.

>>"Jocelyn. Strallin," she said as quietly as possible, pressing her fingers over her carrots, stroking their smooth, peeled surface. Maybe she won't hear. Then I won't have to put up with her.

Jocelyn Strallin. She knew that Jocelyn had meant for her not to hear. Tough luck, she thought. Sometimes, her hearing could be a curse. She hoped it wouldn't be. Not here at least. "Mine's Jasmine. Jasmine Farrar."

>>"Nice. What are you here for?" Jocelyn asked, sounding like she was referring to a prison. She curled her fingers around the carrot, suddenly mad at her parents for making her come to this 'prison'. Her finger nails driving into it. She glanced up, hoping not to confuse Jasmine with her actions.

" I specialize in Sanus Magnus. Sound magic, in layman's terms." She tried to sound cheerful. Sound was everything. "What about you?"

>>"Interesting," Jocelyn said, again quietly. Would this girl be able to hear me even if I spoke in whispers? "Frankly?" Jocelyn leaned forward slightly, so at least no one else could hear. "I truely do not know." She recoiled back, her anger growing as she knew the truth. She was here as a punishment, she didn't have any special skills like anyone else. Her parents wanted her to be with the freaks so she would seem like the outcast. She felt the crunch of her fingers driving into the carrot. She lifted it to eat, feeling the stem and leaves brush againest her arm. Wait. . . She had been sure this morning when Nanni had been preparing, and peeling, her lunch vegtables that she had included to cut off the stems of both the cucumbers, celery and carrots before she packed them neatly in the bag. She knew this, because she had carefully supervised. Then why? She paused, staring blankley at the wall behind Jasmine. She made am mistake. That is all. She continued to eat.

"You seem not to like being here. Am I bothering you? I can move." She was begining to think that maybe her choice wasn't so good. Her perception of sight wasn't at all like her perception of sound. What wasn't voiced, she had very little understanding of. She could detect the mood behind any words or sounds, but her sight was almost worthless, in her opinion. If you cannot percieve what you sense, then your interpreting will be completely hindered.

>>Jocelyn shook her head, frustrated at her thoughts. "No. I was just thinking to much," eating her carrots, chewing a little harder then she should of. "Do you have free period next?" I might as well make some friends, just in case I'm in here for good.

"Yes. Yes I do. Since we are both new here, do you want to figure out some of this campus. Where things are, what you can do during a free period?" She hoped desperately that Jocelyn would accept. She new that Jocelyn wouldnt be able to percive that, with relief. This was the first person she had found that seemed not to be turned off by her abilities.

>>"Why not the courtyard?" she asked, feeling almost desprite. "I think we can do almost anything during free period. I also kinda need to call my father." She finished her carrot, looking away sheepishly. Calling your dad. Nice, Jocelyn. She told herself. She seems nice enough not to care though.

I wish I still had a father. "The courtyard. Okay. Sounds good." She realized that she really hadn't been eating. If they were going to the courtyard, she was going to have to finish her lunch first. Glancing at Jocelyn's lunch, she noticed that Jocelyn hadn't been eating much either.
