The Fa'e's strike missed this time. Han-gyong was getting used to the pain now. Though the stab wound was bleeding freely, he had more control as he swung at Mik's arm.

The same couldn't be said for Mik - the pain and the bleeding were wearing at him, and his performance was seriously suffering. The strike at his arm connected easily and hard. He faltered, and his next attack was little more than a desperate flail.

Thrown off-balance as he was, Sei pretty much had no chance to dodge - indeed, the spear hit mark right on the teen's chest, but hit the metal plating under the fake skin and stopped there.
It was not pain that flashed though the teen's features, but a rather errie look of someone looking like they'd just been stepped on their grave.
The spear had missed the soul gem by mere inches, and that was enough to give Sei some cold sweat, so to speak.
One hand dropped the gun by pure reflex to seize the spear and remove it before the guard could figure out what was happening, and how close to a fatal hit he had truly been - the other raising to shoot at point blank range, now sure that he would not accidentally end up hitting Seung.

Mik's flailing attack managed to connect, scoring a line across Han-gyong's chest. Angry again, he swung aiming for Mik's knife-hand.

An injury to his knife-hand was the last thing he needed, and the swing for it snapped him momentarily out of the daze he'd started to fall into. He just barely avoided it, and suddenly feeling even more desperate, punched for Han-gyong's throat with his knife.

Sei's shot grazed the guard's ear. The man pulled his spear away and thrust it back at Sei's gut.
Seung watched the scuffle, back away in fear as they fought. Then she realized her rescuer might really get hurt. She lunged back forward, launching herself into the air and swinging her ham at the guard's head as she did so.

Han-gyong barely twisted his head away in time; the knife sliced where his neck and shoulder joined, missing the blood vessels. He slapped his free hand over the new wound. Unsteady now, he swung again at the Fa'e, aimlessly.

This time, Sei saw the spear coming - and managed to narrowly dodge it, though it pinned though his jacket and almost to the wall.
Having recuperated some of his cool after the all-too-close hit, Sei shot again - hoping that this time, it would hit home.

Mik avoided the aimless swing, and infuriated by his failure to finish the man off, stabbed again - this time for Han-gyong's heart.

The guard dodge Seung's attack, clumsy as it was. But the dodge put him directly in the path of Sei's shot. It hit him square in the face and he dropped to the ground in a heap.
Seung stayed hovering, both hands clutching the silk around the box. The parts of her face that were skintone were white, her false eyes standing out starkly. "Is...is he dead?" she whispered, looking down at the prone man.

Han-gyong couldn't avoid this one. The knife struck his chest, slid between the ribs and hit is heart. Dying, he tried to flail with his sword at Mik, but with no effect. In seconds, he was slumped over, dead.

"No." He said simply, catching the guard by the collar - on closer inspection, it could be seen that he was still breathing. "Just knocked out for a bit, trough it's probably safer to hide him before leaving. Which room did you come from ?"
He wasn't about to do the same mistake again.

"That one," the mothfish pointed shakily to a door just behind her, her eyes still fixed on the guard. Then she saw his chest move as he breathed and sighed in relief.
Cautiously she floated down and looked up at the other Fa'e. "Who...who are you? I've seen you before but I don't know your name. Did you come with Mik...?" she asked hopefully.

It was about goddamn time!
Panting, Mik went to his knees and sheathed his knife, quickly pulling off his shirt. The movement hurt, especially in his arm, and he hissed at the pain. He folded it up, then tore a strip from the dead man's clothing. Pressing his shirt to the wound in his stomach, he used the strip of cloth to tie it there and hold it, as tightly as he could stand. The others didn't worry him as much, so he left them be for now.
After a moment, he forced himself up and made his way into the other room, where he leaned on the door to the courtyard before cracking it open to look out.

As in the other courtyard, the guards were lax. The one on patrol was dozing against a pillar. The pair guarding the door noticed the flash from Sei's pistol. When they looked up however, they only saw the figures of Seung and Sei. The mothfish was unmistakable, even from a distance. The guards assumed the man with her was another one of them, not being able to tell colors in the dim light. For the moment, the coast was clear.
