Freakezette-san gave me a link to a site with Hiragana Flash cards, and I was going through the first page, memorizing the ones I didn't know, and I came upon this one:

The cards say it should be ki but on a Hiragana chart I found, it wasn't even on the list.
Which one is right? I am thoroughly confused @_@

-_- I tried miso soup today and hated it. It smells and tastes horrible! Urgh!

That one is 'ki'. 3nodding The katakana one looks just like it without the part on bottom. キ

I think I'd better get a better (ack, redundancy o.o) Hiragana table then, thanks a lot.

Um, if that's ki, then what's the one that looks like the Kanji except there's a little curved line under it? That's what my table tells me is ki.

Is there anyway to show me? A scanned picture, or it looks like you can type...

I can't type it, I looked through the Nihongo no Toppiku and copied and pasted ^^;.

Here's the pic as it was on the table:

She's right, and that's how I learned to draw it initially. 4laugh

I was wondering if someone would be so kind as to critique this journal entry of mine!

後で、レストランでピザを食べたのうちに、かっこいアジア人の男の子が私に接近した。名前はジェシーながまつ! 昔の四年に、ネットでジェシーとたくさん話しをしたが、決して会えない。これは最初の出会いだ!もう一度会えばよかったなあ。

ジェシーに会えたが信じて出来ない! それと。。。あんな男の子の顔はかわえぇ~ !!!

I did my best, but don't hold back!

Um, in Inuyasha, Sango and Kohaku refer to their father as 'Chichi-we' and Kohaku refers to Sango as 'Onee-we'. What is the 'we' honorific? I've never heard it in any of the lists.

It is "ue," not "we": hiragana is うえ and kanji is 上

It denotes superiority. "Chichiue" means "honorable father" more or less. And the second one must be "aneue," which means "honorable older sister". But I could be wrong about that second one because I don't watch Inu-Yasha and have no idea if Sango is Kohaku's sister. @_@

Yeah, they are brother and sister. Thanks.

I was wondering if it was 'we' or not because I just came from a conversation where they were debating whether the character ゑ (we) was still used or not.

Thank you all so much. ^^

I seem to be the stupidest one in this guild, as I am, lately at least, posting a ton of questions.

I was listening to a song the other day, and it went
'Oishi momo o futari de'

I translated the yummy peach part, and I know futari is like...two people? Yummy peaches for two people? That question has been burning me up inside ever since I heard the song. Is that in the least bit right?
