I don't know what my third in command has offered you, or what you requested, but he is a man of his word. You will recieve payment. Eclipse huh? Nice to meet you, my name is captain edward hellsmere. Most just call me captain. ~Hellsmere watched as his new hired hand calmed the argument quickly, and grinned at what he'd done~ (hellsmere says under his breathe - "Very nice" ) ~hellsmere looks back and sees airiana open the door~ Feeling better I see. That's good. I hate to rush sore people but as you can see, we have a bit of a situation here that needs tending. I'll keep an eye on the 3 new ones, but I do have a very importent job for you. You see, both our ship and the late captain quincy's ship sunk in the first battle if you recall, and now both crews are aboard. I need someone that I can trust, that knows my crew, to interview everyone on board, separate mine from his, and see if any of his want to join us. As well as make arrangements to send the rest back to shore. I've already got maskus doing damage report and shadowcat on inventory listing. By the way, I don't know what you and maskus did to get that man... ~hellsmere pointed up at eclipse~ ...to join the crew. But GOOD WORK!!! ~hellsmere turns toward demon~ Do me a favor demon, and get that man off the sailing mast, please. ~hellsmere points up at meshii~ He's been wondering around up there sence my spring loaded swing on the rope, and who knows how much longer before hand.

Klen smirked and immediately stopped sparking. "Yes sir! And Cap'n? I couldn't help but overhear your need of more space to transport crew. If you look in the sky you'll see birds, so I don't think we're more than 100 miles from land of some sort. I can go see what sort of land it is, and if it's friendly to your sort. I may be able to bring a boat but I can't make promises. Keep an eye on our feathered friends, I'll be back in an hour!"
With that Klen dived off the side of the boat and a light blue shape shot like an arrow through the water in the direction the ship was heading.

Three quarters of an hour later a small rundown sloop approached Hellesmere's ship, flying a white flag with a blue lizard on it. After 15 minutes it approached and Klen threw several grapples securing the sloop to the side of Hellesmere's beaten craft.
"How do you like my new flagship?" Klen joked, "She's not much to look at, but the wood that makes her up still comes from trees, as is the wood that makes up this craft. I say we get your carpenters to dismantle her and repair this craft. There's a port we will reach in just under 4 hours if we adjust our course by 6 degrees west. Also on that sloop you'll find new sails and whole box of flat yellow disks. And now I must retire to my rooms, I may tell you of my...erm... interactions with the townsfolk."
Klen, dripping, crawled over the side of the ship, through a hole, and into the crew quarters.

Eclipse nods, to the captain it was odd to see a man with such faith in another, but he'll believe it when the other comes through on his word. He remained leaning against the railing of the above deck and watched as the first mate and the lad named Demon came out. His gaze shifts to the lizardman and raises an eyebrow but just watches for a time before his gaze drifts back to the Captain and them at the wheel.
Airiana blinks and looks to her captain and nods, "Aye, Captain." She listens to her captain and gives a slight nod as she listens to what he needed done. She blinks though and looks up to where he was pointing and saw the man that had whooped her good, Eclipse just looked down at her smirked and gave a nod, she narrows her gaze at him but gives a curt nod.
She looks back at the Captain and wasn't sure what she did to get the man to join to her knowledge the guy had whooped her good it was up to Maskus to get him to join, but as long as her Captain was happy then all was well. She nods and heads out to get things sorted with the various sets of crew members.
Demon looked to Captain Hellsmere and listens then looks up the mast to see the hooded figure that he'd seen before a couple of times. He lowers his gaze back to Captain Hellsmere and gives a nod. Demon looks back up at the hooded guy in the mast and was half tempted to draw his sword and fling it at the guy it would get him out of the mast, but the Captain didn't say he wanted him dead...but then he didn't say he wanted him alive either.
Demon decided to go with the Captain actually wanted him alive so he goes walking and climbs the center mast like he was party monkey or something. The guy wasn't being easy to catch wondering this way and that. Eventually swinging by on a rope Demon snags the stranger around the waist and drops down landing before the captain and held the stranger out to Captain Hellsmere.
Eclipse watched the workings of the people on the ship. He watched as Demon fetched the guy in the mast and held him out to Captain Hellsmere, something about that guy interested him. He watched things as they worked and eventually spotted a sloop approaching the ship he shifts slightly and heard as a man yells down, "Captain, a ship be comin flyin the white flag! It seems that lizard creature be with it!"
Eclipse rested back against the railing and just watched it seemed the lizard guy came through with a bit of time to spare. He watched as the lizard retired and then looked down at the captain as he had yet another come to report.
Airiana arrives not long after Klen retired and nods, "Captain, I be finish with questionin the crew. Many of Quincy's men are willin ter join your crew Captain, only a hand full want off at the next port but are willin to work for ya till then. Five of 'em though are hog tied to the bars in the brig, not a friendly lot those five. They apparently still hold a grudge towards us, I left their fate to you sir. Do ya need anything else Captain?"

Creesa listened intently to the conversation between the captain and his newly assembling crew, but never moved her eyes from "Sparky" (Klen).
Creesa watched as the lizard jumped overboard and swam toward the island.
"I hope he stays gone... for his sake." She muttered under her breath.
To her dismay he brings another ship. She sighed and resumed tending to her brother.
"Probably stole that too... or scared the people there to death..." Muttering once again.
Creesa watched as the people went about their work.

Belowdecks Klen sneaked to the brig where Quincy's men were being held. They were gagged and blindfolded, tied to a bar. Klen quickly donned light blue robes that hid all of his body and ripped their blindfolds off. He turned to the most ferocious looking of them, obviously some leader with secrets, and said "I'm am the most terrible creature you will ever encounter, but your life may be spared if you tell me all about Cpt. Quincy Martin. The man mad a spitting motion at Klen. Crackling with electricity Klen pointed the bar of iron he had picked up earlier and shot an arc of electricity into the man next to him. "Now if you would tell me where the place Quincy least liked was, you will be spared!" Klen growled as he unleashed arc after arc of electricity into the man. Finally something in the man's resolve seemed to crack and he started to babble all about the places Quincy avoided. Grinning Klen threw the men, bar and all, into the ocean.
Sprinting to the upper deck he shouted to Hellesmere, "CAPTAIN! 5 prisoners tied to a bar just jumped out of a hole in the boat! I tried to save them but they've surely drowned by now. It's a shame, who knew what secrets they could have told us." And a slow smile spread across Klen's face, hidden in the shade of his large hood. "Now captain, I see lights on the horizon, I say we've about made port!"

Eclipsed heard the faint sound of something and unnoticably walked over to the edge of the ship just in time to watch 5 men tied to a metal bar go into the water with a look of terror in their faces. He just leaned there for a bit watching them as they sunk below the surface struggling to break the surface again but to no avail.
He heard a commotion and walked over to where he had been and just rested against the railing again watching as "Sparky" as he's been dubbed claimed that the 5 men just killed themselves.
Airiana blinks and turns to the lizardman when he claimed the men jumped out of a hole and shakes her head, "That not be possible!" She turns to Captain Hellsmere, "They couldn't of Captain I made sure that bar wouldn't a budge till ya be able to speak wit 'em."
Demon still holding the hooded stranger, Meshii, that had been wandering the mast. His eyes shift though between the Captain, Airiana, and Klen but he says nothing. His hold on the stranger tightens to make sure this one didn't escape.

"We may not make it to port in time to eat so let me just take care of that." Klen said as he strode to the side of the boat, crackling with energy, " While I'm at it I'll tell you a story.
In my culture there are Peasants, and Nobility. The Nobility is split into Fire-Bringers and Lightning Hurlers. Fire-Bringers build up methane in their bodies and use the tiniest of sparks to ignite it as they spit it up. Lightning-Hurlers are almost like electric eels. They store electricity in special organs and can discharge it through the body or a piece of metal. The two Nobillities are constantly at war. Then one day, I received word of a magical artifact that could restore peace to wherever it dwelt. And that is what has brought me here today." With that he stuck his metal rod in the water and zapped the water until it steamed. "Eat up, and look out for small bones!" he said as he plucked fully cooked fish out of the water and passed them around the crew.

Creesa gently moved Dairtic to a safer spot and pulled out her swords.
"I'll kill you!!" she screeched.
She crouched ready to slice him at any moment. Dairtic was not able to stop her, but Captain Hellsmere was. Her only hesitation was that of Captain Hellsmere and his word on the matter. Her body shook with hatred as her eyes were squarely on Klen. Her red eyes seemed to be lit with hell's flames. Only the thought of braking a contract with Hellsmere kept her from moving. Not for Hellsmere or any of the crew's lives or even her own, but for her brother's life.

That is quite a bit of stuff.

Perhaps we can get this ship fixed after all.

Good work there.
We'll have some of the crew remove the supplies from our new sloop, and send the ones that don't want to join back to shore on that. Tell them to keep those 5 violent ones tied until they reach shore. Now... The new bodyguard...

His name is eclipse, and he mentioned something about compensation.
Please find out what exacly that "compensation" that he wants is.
~when klen hopped out and told hellsmere what had happened~

Damn! I don't like it when people under my care decide to ruin things like that.
I guess though this just makes things simpler for us.

I guess we won't have to worry about telling the others to leave the violent ones tied up.
As for how they got loose, maybe the poll was loose?
(and in a quieter vioce so NO ONE ELSE could hear)
"you said those men were extremely violent, did they really seem to be the type to commit suiside like that, though? - I don't like the idea that there might be a saboteur on board. We'll have to launch some sort of investigation."
Demon, we have more importent things do deal with right now, please tie him up somewhere secure and make sure no one can get to him. He seems to be delirious anyway, so talking to him will be pointless right now.
~hellsmere listened to klens story, and watched him fry the fish and retrieve them from the water~
Before any eats, lets have it prepared by our cook. Electricuted or not, they could still be poisonous. And besides, I think this crew deserves an elegant banquet, done up right with all the trimmings. Especiially after all the trouble we've been through.
~with that, the crew began to take the fish that they had gotten to the head chef, and hellsmere looked directly at klen~
Of course you will be joining us, yes? So don't fill up too much. The chef can whip up a feast that shouldn't be missed.
~with what creesa had said and done, hellsmere looked over at her sharply~
As I recall, we are still under agreement, made by your own flesh and blood.
So please put away your swords.
~hellsmere cooled his look~
And of course, you and your brother are welcome to dinner as well, if you wish to join us.
~hellsmere looks back at airiana and says in a voice that ONLY SHE CAN HEAR~
"Something is up here. There are WAY to many secrets for my liking, so many that I can almost taste them. Send one of our most trusted men to watch over the chef and make sure that dinner isn't poisoned. And have him lace the plates of the newcomers, bird and lizard alike, with truth serum. I want to get to the bottom of this as quicky as possible.~
~with that, hellsmere continued about the deck, shouting orders to the rest of the crew~

Creesa stabbed her swords halfway though the deck. A gental humming could be heard from them. She breathed for a few minites until she could control herself. She then pulled out the swords from the deck and replaced them to her sides.
"I can find my own food... but I can't leave my brother here. I trust you will make sure ALL of are food is not poisoned..."
Creesa threw a nasty look at the Klen.
"Although I wouldn't mind a few exceptions... but I will honor my pact with you Hellsmere and keep what I might do to him to myself. However if my brother is intended to eat, I need to wake him up. I need a jug of alcohol."

Go and bring me back a large bottle of alcohol if you can find one.

Creesa gave Hellsmere a confused look, then shook her head. She gently opened Dairtic's mouth and quickly poured some in, then snapped his mouth shut and plugged his nose. Dairtic gagged and swallowed. Coughing and hacking, Dairtic sat up. He waited until he could somewhat talk again.
"Sorry, it seems *cough cough* I've been asleep at the job. *clears throat* How much did I miss?"
Dairtic stood up and brushed himself off. He looked around and saw the crew at work. He looked at Creesa.
"You alright?" he said placing a hand on her shoulder.
Creesa nodded.
"They have offered us food. I suppose your going to accept?" she said grimly to Dairtic.
"Of coarse!! I always love a good meal! Nothin' better to get to know someone faster than a fine meal!" He said cheerfully.
He sniffed the air.
"Mmmmm... and it's fish to boot!"

Great, then it's desided.
We shall have a feast. And everyone will have a chance to talk and get to know the whole story. I'm afraid that even "I" have a few things that need to be said, and to more then just you, my new friends.
For our journey, is one of much danger.
