Somni fumbled a bit, under shock of the embrace. "Why...thank you." he smiled amorously at the delicate girl. "It's not unusual that my kind are left at a young age, to fend for themselves. I am not really sure if there was love; between vampire and demon all I could see was lust." he ran his hand gently down Ollie's soft hair. "And who were you raised by?"

Lucius nodded and smiled. "I see. Well he seems like a nice fellow." He said to Mara. He could sympathize with Mara, on that, as he was in a very nasty situation in his life when he first met Arzachel, and referred to him as father. Lucius looked at the two of them with a smile. "So how exactly did you two happen to meet out there."
Zack scratched the back of his head. "Oh, that.... well, I was reading a sign when I was walking and bumped into her, and then we just started talking." He said with a shrug.
Lucius chuckled. "You and your reading signs. The last time it happened, things didn't work out so well."
Zack sighed. "Yeah, yeah I know." He looked at Mara. "That's how I got bones broken in public. The guy was a werewolf, and I didn't exactly apologize the way I should have."
Lucius laughed. "With that tongue of yours, you could could get anyone to try and rough you up, and not just werewolves. And telling the guy to watch where he was going, when you weren't the one looking didn't help either." He added with a small smirk.

Ollie listened closely and nodded. "I think that's how I came to be. Lust..." She looked up at him. "I was raised by my grandmother... who is probably worried sick right now. I hope she understands when I go home and explain to her. I've never really got to interact with... people kinda sorta like me."

"I can't see you as being the type of person who would snap back at a person." Mara said looking at Zack, and then to Lucius, "When he bumped into me earlier he was very polite."
"So it is true, werewolves have a bad attitude?" Mara asked curiously.

Lucius shook his head. "Well... how can I say this. Many pack tend to keep themselves up in a pent up state of belligerence, which does tend to result in some of them having a bit of a bad attitude." He said to Mara. "But it would be wrong of me to brand them all as having bad attitudes. though werewolves can be irritable during day at times. Though they can go out into the sunlight, they are nocturnal by nature. It's wrong of me to typeset them."
Arzachel swooped into an alleyway, and transformed back into his normal form. He started walking through the alley, with his black cloak swishing a bit. He began to walk aimlessly, simply walking for the sake of walking. He exited the alley and stood at a corner, and looked up at a streetlight as if there was something of interest in it.

Somni laughed "Well, people like us are not that common. I know. I wish I had, had a guardian." his voice trailed off, in a slight level of grief. He forced a smile, and gently pulled Ollie by the shoulders, allowing her to face him. "We can't have your grandmother worrying, now can we? Would you allow me to walk you home, Miss Ollie?" he playfully took her arm in his and motioned towards the door.

"I have never met wolves before." Mara said smiling. "Cooro says that they are aggressive creatures that are better to avoid." Mara shrugged. "They are not fond of us as I hear. What other creatures do you meet here? What do they come for?"

Ollie smiled, yawing a little in spite of herself. She didn't need much sleep. A couple of hours acted as an 8 hour sleep for her. "Yeah, thanks. I hope this isn't going out of your way." She looked over his face, noticing for the first time how good looking he was.
They chatted and here or there he'd ask which way they needed to go. Before long they stood in front of the small house between two taller buildings. Odd, yet fitting for her. Her head leaned on his shoulder and she vaguely noticed her house. "That's me then, eh? Thank you so much..." Her face went blank, and a red hue stained her cheeks. "Oh gosh. I don't even know your name." She laughed, clapping a hand over her face. "Well thanks for walking me home stranger." She gave him a brief hug and turned to walk up the stairs to her door, unlocking it and then turning to wave. "Maybe if we meet each other again you can tell me your name." With that, she was in and the door shut quietly behind her.

Lucius sighed. "With things in the state that they are now... I think that I would have to say that you should listen to Cooro. There was truce between werewolves and vampires... but it was broken, and now there is conflict." Lucius stood and looked at both Mara and Zack sternly. "I want you both to know that I am taking no side in this conflict. I am currently working to try and mediate things, as best I can. All I can say is that nothing is going well. So I would appreciate it if you two tried to not to exacerbate things. Defend yourselves if necessary, but try to keep from going overboard." He implored the two of them.
Zack nodded. "I know, I know! Your always on about that." He said to Lucius. "And Lucius does a lot of things, so he gets all kinds of creatures in here."

Mara appeared alarmed. "There is a conflict going on?" She inquired. "Well if it came down to it I would be with my kind." Mara said truthfully. This was new news to her. She made a note to talk to Cooro about this. Regaining her composure she smiled. "That is awesome." Mara was curious about these different creatures, maybe she would be able to meet some of them.

Somni was again, surprised by the young half breed; he found Ollie's blunt nature oddly attractive. He leaned against a lamp post and laughed quietly, admiring the small house, so suiting of her appearance. "Indeed, I hope to meet you again." he muttered before walking off down the street.
Close by were the bustling night lives of mortals, comfortable with the thought that the immortal were just a myth. He turned into a dark alleyway, and took to a metal staircase, attached to the side of a large building. A few flights up, he reached the back door of an apartment. He retrieved a key from his pocket, and inserting it, turned the door handle and entered. A chill from the air conditioner swept past, as he closed the door softly behind. Somni threw his keys onto the kitchen counter, immaculately clean for a bachelor, and fell onto a couch. The room was plain, though spacial, suiting his lifestyle. A large glass window covered one wall, allowing Laytham's neon signs to light the shadowed apartment. Somni slouched, thinking of his new made acquaintance, till slumber took over and shut his eyes.

Lucius smiled. "You take the side that you think you should take. That is your prerogative." He said holding a hand up. "I just want you two to be careful, is all. And if at all possible, leave me out of it. I'm not taking a side in this." He said. "If you'll excuse me, I think I should finish grading papers." He said as he stood up, bowed to Mara, and disappeared into a study that adjoined the living room. "And Zack, remember to unsummon the stairs if someone comes... before you answer the door." He called out to him.
Zack smiled and looked at Mara. "So, yeah... that's Lucius." He said to her. "Are you sure you don't want some of the medical blood?" He asked Mara politely.

Mara nodded, "I will do my best sir." she assured him, "I will not draw you, or you Zack into my affairs with my people." She was serious as she spoke, it was apparent in her words that she meant what she said.
As Lusius got up to leave Mara waved to him, "It's been a pleasure sir, I hope so see you again soon." Mara said pleasantly.
Mara turned to Zack, "he is a charming fellow, I see there is a lot that you two have in common." When Zack offered her blood she refused, "Thank you, but I know that stuff can be expensive, and for the moment I am fine. I may have to leave soon to go for a small hunt, but I will be fine until then."
Mara looked into Zack's eyes for a moment before saying to him, "You really do seem at least a little different. How are you feeling?"

"To be honest... strange." He said. "I guess I'm still burning off energy from the spell Lucius used." Zack said with a shrug. "And If you don't want it, I understand." He said with a smile. "Though bear in mind, we have it specifically for guests, so it isn't a bother. Lucius doesn't really care about money, he has too much of it to use. He owns this building." He said as he put the sealed box back into the freezer. He walked back into the living room. "Do you want to see one of my transformations?" He asked her. "That way you'll know its me if I use it." He said.

Sairen slid through the city streets her head turning to and fro, sniffing the air "Tis Sairen....the child's name is Tori" Tori lifted her head and looked at Eve quietly. Sairen paused and crouched. Ahead there was a man and a woman, walking quietly together, they were engaged completely with one another and didn't see the giant snake-woman ahead.
