Kyoji couldn't sense any dark intention and he pushed Kotetsu back down into its sheath. He finally caught a vague outline of the mysterious newcomer and raised an eyebrow. Does he have a speech impediment? Or does he not like to talk? He thought at this incredibly blunt response to his question. "Can you show yourself fully, Toki-san? Such as coming down from the tree?" He asked, standing up straight and crossing his arms. He was prepared for any sudden hostile intent, but he was always like that, and something seemed a bit strange.

"Yes," Toki replied, readjusting himself. He stood on the branch, then hopped down to the ground. He landed gracefully, but the expression on his face was awkward. He felt out of place among the people he did not know. Toki still held his doll close to his chest, but attempted to relax. He turned to the woman with cat ears and asked, "Who are you?" A human with the ears of a cat? Odd.

"That we should, my dear. But this person..." Suiyobi stepped forward with narrowed eyes, observing the man deemed "Kyoji Sahaku". He deceased before making a fool out of himself, and returned to the shadowed forest. "You know all manner of creatures prowl at night. We should find a decent shelter. I feel we will encounter these few later on." he gave one last glance at the oddly assembled group, before gently placing a hand on Yume's back, as to lightly push her along with him. So he wields a cursed sword...I will watch for that one.

Cho watched Kyoji as he stood over them. She smiled thankful for his presence. She watched the creature come from the forest. She was surprised to be addressed. "Oh, you can call me Cho." she said cheerfully as she stroked her daughter's hair.
Cho watched the other couple of people not too far away from where they were. Addressing Suiyobi she asked, "Do you have a place to stay for the night?" The man didn't seem evil, maybe he was just like them.

Suiyobi had only taken a few steps, before hearing the woman's inquiry. He turned to face the group "Why no ma'am, I don't. But we should be fine, shouldn't we." he gazed at Yume, awaiting an answer.

"Cho, what are you?" Toki leaned forward slightly, looming tall among these people he did not know. "Why are you all... so... not?" He flicked his forked tongue quickly, smelling the air. Does not smell like a human, he noted, maybe they are like me? He glanced over at Suiyobi when he heard his voice. So many people. Toki let the doll hang by his side, trying to relax.

Cho nodded. "Alright, good luck!" She looked at Toki, "Oh, I am human, but the darkness changed me." she said sadly.

Kyoji looked squarely at Toki. "I look human... but I don't think I am anymore. The darkness changed me as well." He said with a downcast look. He sighed and shared a glance with Cho.

Cho reached out to take his hand in hers. She smiled at him as she massaged the top of his hand. She wanted to speak to him, but she didn't want to upset him.

Kyoji accepted Mara's hand and squeezed it gently. He smiled at Mara, whatever Mara wanted to say, Kyoji was willing to listen.

Cho looked into his eyes. "I believe you are still human." She said softly, "You are kind, a caring person. Not many would help a mother and her daughter search for her lost child. Even less would help them with open hearts and compassion." She spoke softly and truthfully.

"Hmm," Toki thought aloud, his thoughts far away from where he was now. He nodded his head, then darted back up the tree. He smiled down at the people below, feeling much safer now, but it came off looking odd. He draped himself over the branch, closing one eye.

Sakura would awaken abruptly from her sleep as she looked around. She was unsure of her surroundings as she looked at Gouki and Mara. “Hey, Mara Gouki. Are you two in need of food?” She asked because she was about to use her powers to get the food down from the tree. Her eyes would look up at the tree as she sighed a little. She was awake, but that did not mean that necessarily had the strength to do what she had in mind.

Kyoji looked straight back into Cho's eyes. "Thank you." He said with a smile. "Your words do comfort me. It means a lot to me. And it helps me use my skills for a more effective purpose." He said to her, enjoying the deep look they shared, though he was certainly aware of Toki watching. Let him watch. He doesn't seem so bad. A bit strange, but bearable.

Cho smiled she knew that Toki was in the tree. "I am glad," She said to Kyoji, "That you are comforted." She laughed as she looked away, her cheeks flaming.
"Oh, I can climb the tree and get some, thank you Sakura!" Mara said smiling at her. "Are you still hungry?"
