"This wood is full of...magic. It's cliche, certainly, but I've kept it protected. Some of the creatures that don't wish to be assimilated into the modern world have come here. They are...naive little things. But beautiful."
As if to demonstrate this fact, a pixie flitted by, glowing brightly.

Riot nodded. "I can understand that much at least." he agreed. His eyes followed the pixie for a moment - he hadn't exactly seen one of those in quite some time - but returned shortly to his guide.

Tal did not so much guide as just wander, pointing out various creatures and plants. Sprites 3 feet tall or less ran by, giggling and playing. They eventually reached a pond shimmering with will-o-th'-wisps and strange little buggies. Tal sat down on the shore, looking up at Riot and patting the ground beside him.

The dark skinned neko was more than willing to take up the seat beside the elf. He enjoyed his company and it'd been rather nice to see a more natural and freely magical place for a change. The city could get a bit stifling at times.

Tal dipped his feet in the water and sighed, leaning over to lay on Riot's side, head on his shoulder. He was comfortable here. He liked this man, and he liked this forest.
"How do you feel?"

"Content." Was there really any other way to describe that? Gently, he draped an arm around the other, neither really restraining him nor pulling him closer. Just sort of being comfortable with someone he liked being with.

Soft fuzzy kitty tail, yay. Riot smiled a little at this, closing his eyes somewhat and laying his head against the elf's. Most people did not pay his tail much attention at all.
"As are you." he purred, voice soft.

Tal just absently played with Riot's tail, petting, wrapping around his arm, stroking. He'd always had a soft spot for animals, but could never afford to keep up with one. Not in a forest with wolves.
"Do you enjoy swimming?"

"I did, when I was younger. I haven't been swimming for many years."

"Come with me. It isn't very deep," Tal said, standing and stepping in. He rolled his pants up to avoid them getting wet just yet.
"A bit too cold for swimming, but just right for resting."

Riot didn't really bother rolling up his pants. He could barely keep the cuffs rolled up as it was, and getting them wet wouldn't be as big of a deal. So, he mostly just stood and followed Tal into the water.
"It was cold all the time in the water where I came from. I just sort of got used to it."

Riot laughed and slowly sank down to his knees and then to a full sitting position. His tail, however, he kept out of the water as much and as long as possible. It wasn't quite a fear of getting wet, but it was a sensitive part of him, and one he was quite fond of, so he tried his best to take care of it.

Tal was happy for that. It would be much less fun to play with if it was wet.
