I see the midwife Wednesday. I have tons of questions to ask her. The crazy lady took a vacation..when she knows I am due soon. xd
My boyfriend's sister told me it sounds like my due date is getting close if I feel the baby when I walk and such. I guess I will listen to her since she is a midwife. But I am not listening to her about not using baby soap or shampoo on the baby for the first year. WTF is up with that? That is the first time I heard something like that. I feel that is just unsanitary. How else you suppose to make the baby clean and smell good. I don't think water would do the trick. She tried to say that it causes skin problems if we use soap. I used soaps and stuff on my 3 year old. Different cultures, different up bringing I guess..eh? blaugh So weird to adjust to Iceland when I been in the USA my whole life.Sort of feels like downgrading.

Angiemademe Jadean Jaggerstone I wish I could help in the name department...but I am now living in Iceland and well I can only name my baby Icelandic names. why is that? Well the Icelandic name laws are real weird so I have to name the baby that is legal. I still don't really understand it completely but I guess I picked good ones even for not really knowing how to pronounce them and such all that good.

Wow... they must be trying to keep people from naming their childern bad things. I suppose in someways that'd be nice.

Well I just became a member of this guild and I am 19. My son's name is Charlie Samuel and he's 5 months old. I am kinda feeling worn out right now b/c I've been trying to post on here and he kept interrupting but finally a post from me! I am a college student majoring in WebSite Design. Well enough about me, I got preggie when I was 17 and I had him when I was 18..just turned 19. Im happy tho. I am also a single parent. Any other single parents? Btw, I don't think I want anymore. I had to have a c-section because I was 42 weeks preggie!! WOW! And no contractions either! I was feeling just fine other than the huge belly lol! I was sick of being preggie but I was in labor for almost a whole day and nothing happened. I barely even dilated lol. But finally Doc said let's just have a c-section and it was so painful at first when I had to walk for the first time. WOW! But it ended up being worth it! Also one more thing, Doc said walking alot would help and I did that..NEVER worked!

Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do for severe congestion during pregnancy? I know it's pretty common, but I'm feeling miserable. I've had bad congestion and a headache from it since Saturday. I get in the shower with the mist setting on and breathe in the steam and also clean out my nose with a saline solution. Both help for awhile but not long and I can't stay in the shower 24/7. xd

Taking it too often and for too long can cause Acetominophin to build up in your liver and then your liver can't Process it. So FOLLOW the directions on Tylenol to a tee. Also here... http://www.babycenter.com/general/pregnancytravel/pregnancy/9327.html It's a chart every pregnant woman SHOULD get from their doctor it lists what medications you can take for what things. Also try Vicks vaporub you can even just lightly put it around your nostrils, also Vicks have these plug ins you can put into an electrical outlet. It'll fill the air with some mentolatum and you can breath easier.

Thanks, Nopen. I have a list of what meds I can take, but I generally try to avoid taking meds as much as possible. I guess I should've mentioned that before. Plus, Tylenol almost never helps me. Maybe I should dig out the Vicks. It's just so stinky. xd

Hello, I haven't been around much, my sister hasn't been letting me use her computer anymore crying . I was recently "upgraded" to the complicated OB (fromerly know as the high risk clinic). I guess I'm heading for pre-E again. Right now I'm border line, with chronic hypertension. The one bright side to all this is I get to have another ultra sound this week. I love seeing my little girl. When I was pregnant with Sascha I had to have them all the time and one time she waved, I know she wasn't really waving, but it was still so fun. I've also been sick with one thing or another for almost two months now, it's insane. My daughter and I have had a cold, the flu, then another cold, we just got over croop, and now we have a stomache bug. It's so exausting. How are the rest of you doing? I hope all is going well.

Well the longest part of my pregnancy is now beginning...the last 2 weeks. I wake many times during the night from either being uncomfy or having to use the bathroom. I barely can walk around. I feel like my legs and arms are like 100 pounds each. I also get small headaches and I have had a few bloody noses or stuffiness and even some dry nostrils. I get tired easy and I seem very sluggish. Hope it will just hurry up and get over with...I don't think I can handle much more of this. I also seem to think of what the baby will be like alot and what the gender will be. My mind runs. sweatdrop

lionfish13 i would like to know how much scarring there is if i have a C-section and if i have natural birth how can i help so i dont tear yes i would like to know the same thing...well mainly about the non-tearing. i don't care about scarring. I have a million scars including a gigantimous one on my back, a few on my knees and one on my right shin from a car accident and a stilleto slamming into my leg and breaking the bone (and the doctor said it wasn't broken...you should feel my leg and then see if it's not broken) anywho...i'm really small. i'm 4'11" and even though my hips are a little wide for my body i've had nurses tell me that i'm still small and stuff. i'm not pregnant at the moment but i have been pregnant before (though i lost the baby) and i would really appreciate knowing how to not cause tearing (or at least not too much) if it's a definit no that i wouldn't be able to get a c-section in the future. and yea i know i may be asking early but it's been bugging me lately. a lotta ppl having babies around me and a lotta talk about me being tiny.
