Yes, yes I believe they are. And they're doing a bang up job of it too. >_>;;
I'm so disappointed with their idea of Zuko. He doesn't look like him at all. Scar and hair aside; his face and skin color are wrong.
I think Aang's design is really interesting and nice, but not right. I prefer him over Zuko at the moment though.
I'm scared to see what they've done with Sokka and Katara...

Trailer premiers this thursday/wednesday night~ (Or monday.)

I wish they had given the amazingness that is Avatar the same treatment they gave Lord of the Rings and The Chronicles of Narnia.

They are in a way. It's a bit early to be saying such things.
And I didn't actually watch Transformers due to scheduling conflicts, but I went in to see the trailer on the big screen. : DDDDD
yay.

Hella long time since I posted here, but after seeing the trailer before Transformers 2, I just couldn't wait. Though it's preliminary, the trailer did some justice. The actor playing Aang does look a bit chubby though, hahaha. The screenshots of Dev Patel as Zuko were okay. He did look menacing in one of the photos.
Oh and, Transformers 2 wasn't all that great.

True enough I guess. But if the actor is supposedly a black belt tae kwon do practitioner, he could be a bit leaner, even for a kid. mrgreen

I thought the trailer looked pretty rad. The airbending was better than I thought. Plus the fire nation ships! They were so cool!

I saw the little dingies *thinking they were higher up on the mountain* and I was like "Oh cool!" and then I saw the big guns and was like OHFSJDBGJSBRG ................I just came.

I was hoping for an Oriental-looking Aang, but this Aang WAS pretty cute! biggrin He looked like a little kid; which is NOT a bad thing.

haven't been here in a looong time, but i saw transformers 2 and got super excited for the movie
...
then i went to imdb.com to look up the cast
W...T...F.
why are all the firebenders indian?! (nothing against indians sweatdrop )
and have you SEEN uncle iroh?
i could go on, but long story short, i hate the casting xp

I don't want to take an opinion until I see the movie, but I have a few things to pick at:
1) Iroh isn't fat. That's fine and all, but part of his character is that of the genial, chubby dude. I'm disappointed, but I think the actor looks like a wise old uncle. eek What if they put him in a fat suit?!
2) Ozai isn't hot! I know, I know. That's not an important thing to look for, but I had a crush on Ozai and it makes me sad not to have eyecandy. emo
3) Now, I'll go back and look, but I didn't see a scar on Zuko in the trailer! I'm sure they wouldn't leave that out, though, and I just missed it.
4) I'm really worried they'll have horrendous wigs like they did in Twilight! If they do I think I'll die.
