Suzzie Ann nodded, "thanks for telling me. I was going to pick one of them up." She kneeled down next to Nanina and looked at the kittens and tentatively reached her hand over to pet the mother cat. When her hand was close enough to reach the mother swiped at her with her claws. Luckily Ann had the foresight to pull her hand back when she saw the action. "I have terrible luck with cats.. they dont like me." She kept her hand back not trying to pet the mother again. "My name is Suzzie Ann. You can call me Suzzie or just Ann," she introduced herself, trying to be friendly. Hopefully Nanina is a nice person.

Esmeralda grinned. "I knew that much, too," she admitted. "But something about the head...she looks a bit different than regular Arabs, wouldn't you say?" She would be the last person to condemn Emily for being a horse nerd - she herself had been reading anything about horses she could get her hands on for years, fiction or non-fiction. She just loved to know.
"I hope we can," she added, in reply to Keith's remark. "I'd like to learn to ride properly, instead of just bouncing around."
Not that she was bouncing around on Sahara - the horse had the sweetest trot she'd ever sat. Of course, compared to old Mickey's trot, anything would have felt great.
Once Emily went forward to talk to Keith, Esmeralda just sort of hung back, uncomfortable with pushing herself forward. She was a Drama kid, she berated herself; why couldn't she just go up and join the conversation?
But she couldn't, so hang back she did.

Keith Davis. He said, extending a hand to Emily since he only held the reins in one hand. That was just how he was taught to ride. He glanced over at Esmeralda when she didn't come forward, and he smiled. I won't bit, you can come up 'ere too.

Suzzie Ann smiled lightly, "or you could call me Suzzie Ann.. a lot of people seem to enjoy saying it together." She moved out of the cat's way when she tried to take another swipe at the chinese girl. "Who ever said that chinese people get along with cats lied," she mumbled. She stood up, making her pig tails bounce and her bands move into her eyes. Oh why didnt I put on my clips today...?

" Emily Jean." She replied shaking his hand and smiling.
She glanced over her shoulder and motioned for Esmeralda to come up here. Emily hated it when someone was excluded from something. For her she never was since she had a small group of friends who all owned horses.

Kahlilia was in the barn with Nanina, Suzzi, and Shannon, standing by Shannon and smiling at the mother cat. "Shes beautiful." She said quietly, scratching her behind the ears briefly. She was glad to be close to the horses again, she wanted to ride them so badly, it was hard to hold back the urge. She especially wanted to ride Benvolio, interact with Benvolio. She took a second to look back at the majestic stallion, who's nose poked out of the opening of his stall.
Xavier woke up on his own much later, rolling over and yawning. He eased out of bed and got dressed into a black tee-shirt and well worn jeans. He took a quick look at the others outside.
What the hell is going on? I overslept again.
He shrugged and plopped back onto his cot, pulling out his cell phone. He wasn't sure what kind of reception it would have here, but he wanted to call an ex of his - just to rub this trip in her face. Rebecca RoseAnne Talf loved all kinds of animals - and four years ago, Xavier. They had broken up for what to many was obvious reasons, but invisible to the boy of now 19. He hoped she was awake.

Esmeralda gave the two a faint smile, and allowed Sahara to trot up to Keith's other side. "Alas, young traveler, it is nothing to do with you," she said with a theatrical sigh. "I grow distrustful, why, 'tis all. Weary, even, of the life we live."
She shook her head and gave them a half-embarrassed smile. "Western Angels, act one, scene three. Forgive me," she added with a chuckle.

"Your forgiven." Emily laughed while taking out a granola bar and taking a bite.
It would be a long time before lunch and a small snack would keep her going for the time being. She took out the carrot and broke it up into smaller pieces so Apollo would have no trouble eating it. Emily felt another one of her uncle's gaucho songs come up. She smiled and hummed it.

Esmeralda laughed. "I promise not to play 'Spot the Quote' all the way there," she said amiably. "Have you ever tried to play it with people you don't know? It's amazing how nerdy you feel after a while."
Stroking Sahara's neck, she asked Keith, "How far away are the fields?"

Rebecca RoseAnne Talf sat on her water bed, stroking her short auburn hair absently and daydreaming. A loud noise tore her from those in mere seconds - oh, it was her phone. Her zebra-striped cell phone vibrated and played what was usually a relaxing melody - usually relaxing. Today, it was annoying and droned in her ears endlessly.
"Hello?" She made her usually soft and high pitched voice deep and groggy on purpose.
"Guess who, babe."
Rebecca gasped. She knew who this was just by his deep voice - Xavier. They had been the inseperatable for a whole - God forbid! - two months, but that had come to a falling halt almost four years ago.
What the hell did he want?
She kept her mouth open and gaping as he bragged to her about where he was; and she grew angrier as he said how "stupid" and "boring" the routines were at the ranch. She evantually hung up on him without saying anything more than one word to him.

Xavier scoffed as the loud click vibrated through his ears. He cursed to himself, cursing Rebecca, the ranch, and just about everything else. How dare she! He thought. What the hell did I do wrong?

I have never played that game. Keith told the girls and then he tilted his head when the question was asked. Just below that hill. He pointed to a hill a few fifty yards in teh distance.

" It's fun. I played all the time with my uncle while we rounded up the cattle" Emily replied spotting the hill.
She was starting to feel excited and closed her eyes to keep herself calm. Sometimes it sucked when she was hyper adn excited about something. Which is why she meditated; to keep herself under control.

Esmeralda grinned lazily at Keith. "It's fun. It's not hard to learn, either. Basically, you just watch a bunch of old movies or read a lot of books or something with your friends and then start sticking quotes from said movies or books into your everyday conversation. Whoever notices the most wins."
She leaned forward slightly, looking at the hill. It almost looked as though she were trying to see through it.

Suzzie Ann's eyes widened at Nanina's statement, "we do? Oh gross." She made a face and it seemed like she had really believed what the other girl was saying. However she then laughed and shook her head, "no. I heard they eat dogs in China though." She rolled her eyes and smiled, "don't worry. I don't eat dogs," she gave a toothy grin. The chinese girl then looked up and noticed the presence of a third girl. "Hello. My name is Suzzie Ann. Yours," she asked, clearly warming up a bit.

Keith looked around and noticed some flowers, and then he said, Thy flowers are withered on their stems. He looked back at the girls expectantly, then nudged B with his heels and the horse stepped into a canter.

Nanina stood and dusted off her knees and then turned. I'll be righ tback, I'm going to grab some milk from the kitchen for Cali.
