John woke up a quater of an hour later than Lilly had. He sat up immediately and looked around, blinking his eyes to get them used to the light that was shining into the room from the window and the not so natural light of the hospitals lights. John gave his head a quick shake and got up from the bed. He stubbled a little then looked over to Jacob. He sighed. John fixed his hair with his hands quickly and looked in the mirror. He looked fine. Smelling the aroma of breakfast down the stairs and a little ways in the cafeteria he decided that he'd look for Lilly there, she obviously wasn't in the room. John passed by many doctors and nurses' in the hallway, nodded and said hello to a few. When he reached the cafeteria he noticed Lilly, she had changed her clothes,"Well... Someone looks extra beautiful today." he said to Lilly and gave her a kiss on the cheek as he walked up beside her.

Lilly smiled and nodded to the nurse, then grabbed a plate of eggs and an orange, before taking a seat at an empty table She pushed the eggs around her plate and jumped when John seeming came out of no where and kissed her. "Oh, thanks." She said, sleep still fogging her mind. She took a fork full of eggs and swallowed it before picking the almost full plate and putting it in front of John. "I all ready had a bagel, I'm full." She lied and started to unpeel the tinny orange. She took one of the pieces and savored it's sweet citrus flavor before setting the rest of it in front of John as well. "How'd you sleep?" She asked changing the subject so she would not have to lie anymore.

It seemed at though she had thank him non-chalantly and with no meaning or actual thanks behind it,"Yeah. no problem." he said just before she pushed the plate in front of him,"Ok... if you say so." he said and started eating the eggs,"I slept alright..." he said looking to the other people around them,"You doin' ok?" he asked her. Something seemed amiss with the way she was behaving.

Lilly furrowed her brow "I'm doing just fine. Why do you ask? Is something not ok with you?" She leaned her elbows on the table and leaned towards him slightly. He seemed to be picking up on something, and Lilly was afraid of what that something might be.

"nah.. I just thought... oh.. nevermind." he said and looked to her,"So... you're happy though... right?" he asked her. John was trying to find something to talk with her about. Usually all the subjects were open and there was everything and never nothing to talk about. He finished eating the eggs and started on the orange, he offered Lilly a piece.

Lilly shook her head at his offering and looked down at her hands. "I'm about as happy as I could be in my situation, john." She said then looked up at him with a forced smile on her face. "Really." She added to make sure he understood. "How are you feeling?" She asked trying to get him to talk about himself. She did not want to go though this act, this morning.

"Thats good to know." he said and finished up the orange,"ok. I trust you." he said and gave her a gentle smile,"I'm feelin' ok. So... do you wanna get out of here?" he asked Lilly. John didn't like hospitals too much but was willing to go in one to spend time with Lilly.

"And go where?" She asked. Ever since the event, she did not get out that much and she was not sure where she wanted to go. Not having a car also made it hard for her to go places without having someone always with her. "Have any ideas, Because I think I need to go out." She sighed in relief, and stood up from the table, stretching her arms over her head.

John hadn't thought about where to go exactly,"How about the mall?" he asked her. He knew of one that was near by. John stood up with her and took the trash and threw it away, when he came back he took her hand with his and laced their fingers together.

Lilly nodded she could not think of a reason not to. "Sounds fun" She said and walked with him out of the cafeteria. She smiled and tried to keep pace with him and not try to pull him to hard. "But I did not bring any cash." She had brought just enough money to pay for her food and the bus ride home. She was not exactly sure why he wanted to go to the mall, she had never been a big fan of the place, but maybe he was into materialistic girls and high prices.

John smiled,"Glad you think so." when he heard her talk about money he told her,"It's ok. I'll drive you there and lunch is on me... and if you want anything just say so." he said to her, the mall was just somewhere he liked to hang out. Nothing too special, just another place to think and enjoy the company of strangers or a few people you know.

Liam woke up and looked at his hair in the window. He quickly fixed it and got out of bed. Liam grabbed his I.V. and walked down to the cafeteria, he enjoyed being allowed to move around in the hospital, rather than bedridden, like other cancerous patients. Liam got a plate and walked over to the table Lilly and John were leaving, "Bye! See you guys later!" he said as he began eating.

She said, already knowing that she would not ask for anything. She hated asking for things, it made her feel useless and a burden, rather than strong and independent like she wanted to feel.

John looked back around and saw Liam waved and said,"Be back later friend." to him as he exited through the sliding doors,"mmmm..." John looked around until he found his car,"Ah! there it is." he said aloud and smiled. There was almost never a moment that John didn't smile around Lilly because he loved being around her so much there was nothing to do but smile. Once they got to his jet black Eclipse he opened up the door for Lilly on the passenger's side.
