Leilani looked over the menu with interest, wondering what she should try.
"It depends on what you're looking for." She took an other moment to look over everything, trying to decide what she wanted. "I'm probably going to try the flounder. Do you see anything you might like?"

Aiden looked over the menu, at all the pretty pictures of food and pointed to the smoked salmon. "This looks good." Of course, it looked like the fish he normally ate right off the fire. With the exception to the rice and salad served with it. It might be more flavorful.
Cassie came back to the table with Aiden's lemonade and Leilani's tea. She their drinks in front of them and placed a few packets of sugar in front of Leilani. "We only got normal tea. I didn't know how much sugar ya wanted." She smiled and placed two straws in the table. "You two ready to order?" She took a pen and pad out the back packet of her jeans and waited.

"Thanks, this should be good," Leilani told the waitress, fiddling with the sugar. "And yes, I think we're ready. I'm going to have the flounder meal, please?"

Aiden stared at the waitress, watching her adjust her shirt, clearly too short for her body and fit like a glove on her. It showed just enough to see the compass tattoo on her naval. "I would like the smoked salmon." He said softly and removed his eyes from traveling each and ever curve of her body. He blushed then turned his attention to the crashing waves outside.
Cassie bit down on her lower lip, it didn't disturb the fire-engine red lipstick she wore. "Coming right up." She scribbled down their orders on the paper and walked off. Her hips moving to the beat of the song she hummed to herself.

Leilani watched the blush creep up Aiden's face and raised an eyebrow as the waitress left. More entertained than anything, she was pouring the sugar in her tea as she asked, "So...north, south, east or west?"

The blush vanished as he looked at Leilani. "Huh?" He was a little confused of her question or whether it was a question that needed to be answered.

Leilani laughed lightly at his confusion; he must not've been looking very close at the compass. It just confirmed her opinion that the girl, Jezebel, must have a bee in her bonnet about something else when she'd said Aiden was a womanizer. "Nevermind. Are you enjoying the view?" She wasn't very good at smalltalk--the only time she had a chance to practice was when she was with Amy or the other chandra she'd adopted--and then she was usually up to her elbows in crafts.

Aiden saw the compass, he just didn't know why she asked the question. "Yea, the ocean amazes me." He leaned back and looked at all the other waitresses. There were chandra and human waitresses. Cassie happened to be a chandra..the humans looked so weird to Aiden. He watched them walk, watched them talk, and even how they flirted with the men here. "I think Cassie has a thing for you." He said with a smirk.

This time, Leilani blushed. "Oh, darlin', I'm sure you're mistaken," she said with a shy smile, trying to imitate Cassie's drawl.

He couldn't help but to smile. "Notice how the waitresses look at both the people at the table...and watch how Cassie looks at you, just you, when she comes to the tables. It's adorable how she walks up to you...she twirls her hair as she waits for you and only jokes with you. She isn't that way with the other tables she is serving. Also, I will see her look at the table from behind the counter ever once in a while." He said then took the straw and put it in his drink. "Don't believe me? Watch her..." He took a sip of his lemonade then thought of a question he had for her. "Did you believe Jezebel when she told you I was a womanizer?"

"Seems like she's mostly kidding with you," Leilani said with a smile, though she did notice a few of the things that Aiden pointed out. Embarrassed, she went to take a sip of her drink, only to have it go down the wrong pipes as he asked about Jezebel.
As she coughed and sputtered a little, she tried to think of a good answer. Unable to find one, she settled for the truth. Clearing her throat, she sighed and said, "There were moments when I wondered...When you'd walk off. When you left me waiting." Leilani shook her head. "But they were weak moments. I know you're not like that."

Aiden chucked when she spit of her drink. "Oh, that maybe I was off kissing and touching on some girl that I might not have told you about? Highly unlikely...Jezebel is one of those that likes to spread around church house gossip..." His eyes narrowed and he lay his head against the window, "Val told me she said that to you.." He looked at Leilani, his eyes showing no hint of anger at all..he was always cool and collected about some things. "Oddly enough..I could see why you believed her. I'm not all that great of a boyfriend."

"Val said that I...?" Leilani blinked a moment, wondering what had transpired to make him ask about this suddenly. But she shook her head. It didn't really matter. Wanting to touch him, even in a small way, she scooted her feet forward on the rough floor of the diner until their toes brushed.
"It doesn't matter. I shouldn't have believed her." Tilting her head to try and meet his eyes, she added, "I mean it. I know you're not like that. And I didn't want to make you feel like you're not a good boyfriend." The word seemed strange on her tongue; it wasn't one she'd used before. Idly toying with the ring on her finger, she murmured that she thought he was a good one.

Aiden smiled as she told him he was a good boyfriend. Still, he didn't think so at all. "Well you seem to get bothered when I leave you...and--" He was cut off by Cassie coming back and setting their meals on the table.
Cassie placed her hand on her hip and began the process of twirling her hair again. "Anything else I can do before I let you enjoy your meal?" Her question was directed toward Leilani only, she always seemed to not notice Aiden.
Aiden remained quiet and just started to eat his fish.

"Ah, no thank you," Leilani said with a small smile to Cassie. She did notice then that the other chandra seemed to only have eyes for her. She tried not to seem flustered as she told the girl she had everything she needed.
