EntryAs a winter baby, I have to say that winter is my favourite season, especially after spending it in a country that actually produces snow! I couldn't choose just one image that best represented what I love about winter, so I've edited together about twelve or more of my photos. I ran out of time slightly, waiting on a friend to send me photos of her kotatsu (Japanese table that has a blanket/doona under it, and a heater on the underside of a table - best invention ever). So you get two versions of the one image: one with me, but minus the table edited in, and one clean one without me. Clean ImageImage with a KaliMy favourite things about winter that are represented here: snow, mountains (ski fields), snowboarding, skiiing, snow on pine trees, snow on picturesque bridges / Japanese gardens, ice sculptures, the clearest and most amazingly blue cloudless skies, ugg boots, and that fact that my anti-social cats become extra-smoochy in winter (they only love me for my body heat *sob* ). * If the judges need to see individual photos to prove I took them all, just ask and they can be provided n.n

Entry for Autum I love Autumn because of the colors, it may be a simple reason but really when i see the colors of the nature all yellow, orange, red... it move my heart, make me dream. And we can see beautifull things like that :
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v130/Lorako/autumn.png (photo took at my home for the rainbow and university for the trees) Really i couldn't stop staring at the trees during classes, i love this season because nature is so full of color it's beautifull ^^.

I was referred here by melodymh4. This is my entry. I know it seems a little long, but the lines themselves are rather short, so it's not really as long as it may seem. Also, the very last line, I don't want any confusion with my poem but ... I didn't mean it like it's the very least as in a negative way. I mean, so when everything else is this way or that, then at least summer is still like this. You know? Okay, that's it for my clarification. Obviously, I chose Summer as my favorite season. <3 Underneath the Summer sky, Cicadas sing a song for me. Beneath the sounds of their mournful cries, You might hear the gentle humming of a bee.
I've longed for this solitude. For this warming embrace. I've longed for these moments, To linger upon my face.
The Summer breeze caresses my skin, A soothing touch like nothing akin.
It warms you up, It cools you down, With lemonade cup, And no chance of frown.
Outside my window the rain falls neatly, Unlike in Autumn when it only falls bleakly.
I detest the other seasons, Dreary they all are. Not lingering and sweetly smelling, Not delicious near and far.
The world in Summertime, Is the perfect world for me, The gentle rain, The bugs refrain, The cheerful melody.
In Autumn the world dies, And in Winter the world cries. Leaf whirlwinds to steal your soul, Soon followed by blizzards to take their toll.
Springtime, I fear, is not better. In fact the only difference, Is that it's wetter.
A cold unhappy wet, That let's the flowers bloom. But then again reminds you, Of all the other gloom.
And so for a rest, So for final release, Summer is summer. Least of least.

Edit: I AM WITH YOU @ LAST MINUTE SUBMISSIONS, ELWYRN *hi5's* I have… always envisioned Winter in a human-esque personification, so I figured I would attempt to embody my interpretation into the form of a poem. I find myself fascinated with Winter, out of all the seasons, for while it has its own beautiful aspects, at the same time remains, in my opinion, one of the darkest seasons to behold. There are many reasons and delights I find in this season, so hopefully was able to have some of those reasons come across in the story/writing 8D;;; The Ghost of Winter Her hauntingly pale eyes look on, And study the world around, It’s time once more for her to perform, So she begins without a sound.
She walks among the forest, The ends of her dress grazing the leaves, The frost soon forms, the leaves curl up, As the air begins to freeze.
Her hand is cold, ice to the touch, And she brushes her fingers against the ground, The grass withers, decays, and dries up Not a blossom to be found.
Small creatures have begun stirring Her approach was not unknown The deer and squirrel have prepared for this As the migrating birds have long since flown.
The Prince of Autumn had warned of her Of her cold and cruel heart, Before he rode off, leaving golden leaves, Like seasons before, having done their part.
Her hair is like the branches, Dark colored, brittle, and twisted, Her face pale, lips glossy with ice, No smile having ever existed.
Her freezing touch, and empty eyes, Speak of love lost, or yet to discover, A hand outstretches across the land, As she blankets the world in white cover.
Beware of the seduction of Winter, Her entrancing soulless gaze, Many have sought her, to conquer this season, And found themselves lost among their ways.

((I SEE YOU)) (above is my horrible attempt to alter one of my own pictures for the poem; yes I'm terribly bored and I probably just totally DESTROYED any image that might have come to mind after reading the poem - Sorry! 8D )
