it depends like a lot of ppls answers. if its in the fall comming up on football season then we practice 3 times a week, cg too. review time we make it 4, cg has every day plus weekends...they kinda suck somtimes

We pratice 2 times a week (6-9 both days) normally and 3 times (same hours just the 3rd day is around 4 and a half) during the week of a cavalcade. Oh, and I'm in hight school.

At my high school band is a class, so we practice everyday during school. We practice once a week outside of school and then before football games.

Whoa, the avatar in your sig on the right (wearing the green) looks just like our uniform, except ours is blue. Or well, was, we're getting new uniforms next week I think.
We have band as a class with a 90 minute block period on Wednesday. 2 times a week we have 3 hour rehearsals at night, and then all day Saturday from 9-4. If we have a competition, then Saturday is usually cut to 9-12.

mine practices about 2 hours a day. i do 3 hours because of our percussion feature.

Ugh. We just got our calenders for this month and we have practice EVERYDAY for THREE WEEKS straight including days we have football games.
They usually run for 3 and a half hours. Unless our obsessed band director thinks the run throughs were really that bad. xx;;

High School marching band:
2:40 - 4:40 Mondays and Thursdays
6:00 - 8:00 Tuesdays
Practice saturday mornings for 3 hours before competitions, too (unless we are playing early in the morning or have to go far away).
And then, of course, Friday football games....
I guess it could be worse! It could be 3 hours, 5 days a week! sweatdrop

my schedule:
summer: two weeks after schools out;
6-9pm monday through friday
3 weeks off in july
one week of 1-9pm
Band Camp- 8:am-9: pm
week of 1-9pm
school::
Monday: 3-5
Tuesday: 3-5
Wednesday: 3-6(sectionals)
Thursday: 3-8
Friday: 3-4:30(football game)
Saturday: 8:am-whenever we need to leave for compatition(usually 4-6 hours practice)
yeah, and this goes on toward the end of october.

Monday: 1.5 hours class time.
Tuesday: 1.5 hours class time. 3 hours after-school time.
Wednesday: 1.5 hours class time.
Thursday: 1.5 hours class time. 3 hours after-school time.
Friday: 1.5 hours class time. 4 hour long football games.
Saturday: 16 hours competition time.
About 33.5 hours per week.
During April and May: two band camps on Saturdays for rising freshmen to learn how to march. 12 hours each day.
During the summer: Week-long band camp. 12 hours each day.
By the way, it's a high school marching band.

I'm in a high school band, and we don't really practice that much. That's probably why we're not so good right now. sweatdrop
We have band as a class at my school, and it counts for our P.E. credits.
Monday: 1:39 - 2:36
Tuesday: 1:39 - 5:30
Wednesday: 1:39 - 2:36
Thursday: 1:39 - 2:36
Friday: 1:39 - 2:36
Then each of the sections has one other day (not Tuesday) for an hour-long sectional, except for percussion which has their sectionals from 3:00 - 5:00.
Football games are on Fridays, but we only play at home games. We have a little practice session right before we go out to the field, stand tunes, halftime, stand tunes, then go home.

Im In a High School Marching Band
we practice on tuesdays from 5:30-8:30 and before that a rotating brass or woodwind sectional from 2:30-4
and on thursdays from 2:45-5:45
competition scedule is coffe talk at 8:00am and whenever that ends we practice till 12
next week is gonna be hectic we have a game on monday and practice b4 that and no practice on tuesday but we will still have thursday practice

okay... so my high school marching band is pretty hardcore... heh
we start in the summer. in total, we have six 8-hour days. we also have to some in as a section for three hours a week for four weeks to work on drill and music.
during the school year, we work every day for 40 minutes during classtime, and friday mornings for an hour before school.
on compettion days, we usually arrive at school at 8am... and practice for three or four hours before we leave to the competiton.

wow i'm suprised with how many bands only practice once a week...we practice over the summer and our (high school) band practices every day at school(during season) and 2 on game day (cuz we rehears with the cheerleaders and our flaming boton thrower)
