"Everything is fine." Adrian said a little shortly. He didn't mind that Carlos paid, he just thought he would try to do something gentlemanly-like, since this was the first time the two had been together in awhile.

He knew Adrian well enough that everything was not just fine, and that he probably should not have paid after all. Unfortunately he really did not know how to make him happy now... Biting his lip and swishing his tail he did the only thing he could think of, reaching up to kiss Adrian lightly on the jaw. Anything more might have been inappropriate in a fast food establishment.

Adrian ruffled Carlos's hair and looked around the restaurant to find a good place to sit when their food arrived. "Where do you want to sit? There's a table over by the window and there is a table by door or we could head back to my place and eat there if you'd prefer. I don't really care."

"Oh... I like the window seat... or if we went back to your place, we could watch a movie," he grinned, tail waving behind him. The food smelled really good. "I don't know, I'm just hungry..."

"Alright. We can head back to my place then." Adrian picked up the food when it was ready and headed out of the restaurant. "What movie would you like to watch?"

"Okay!" Carlos grinned at Adrian, then skipped ahead to hold open the door for Adrian because his hands were full. "I don't know... maybe a comedy? Or a romance?" Big goofy grin there.

Adrian gave Carlos a quick, small smile and walked out the door, stopping to wait for the unicat to follow. "I guess we'll wait to get back to the apartment to decide. You can look over the movies I have, or if you don't see anything there we can run out to a movie store so you can pick something, I guess."

Carlos trotted to catch up to Adrian then fell in beside him. "We can do that... or there's pay-per-view." Did Adrian have that? "I'm sure we can find something no problem either way."

"I forgot about pay-per-view. I haven't used that in a long while." It used to be the rat's best friend, that and drinking and fighting, but that was in the past. "We can do that. Just pick what you want to watch when we get there."

"Sounds good," Carlos beamed. He was seriously hoping it would not take them long though, burgers just aren't quite as good when room temperature. Adrian would not have that trouble however since he had ordered the salad. "Did you have anything in mind you'd like to watch?"

Adrian was walking fairly quickly so that they would get back to the apartment before Carlos's food got cold and his got warm. "I don't particularly care what we watch, so choose something of your liking and we'll watch it."

"All right..." He did not know what kind of movie Adrian might like, besides that one... He was not overly eager to watch it again however because of what happened last time. Chances were Adrian liked most of the movies in his own house, so Carlos would not have trouble finding one they would both like. Cross your fingers.

When they got to Adrian's apartment, the rat balanced the food and unlocked the door, opening it when it was unlocked. "The movies are next to the tv. Any of them are fine." He walked into the kitchen and put the food down. He grabbed some plates and put the food on them. When he had everything he needed he carried the food back out and placed it on the table in the living room.

Hmm.... Carlos followed Adrian's instruction and went looking through the available titles. It was probably reasonable to assume that if he chose several possibilities, Adrian would not show a preference. The unicat took a few moments to decide on something he thought would be entertaining but not too sappy. As the rat returned with their food, Carlos was finishing up at the player and turned around to find a place to sit, grinning at Adrian when he saw him. "It's all ready to go.
(( I didn't decide on a movie. We can be vague about it if you want xD ))

Adrian paused before sitting down next to Carlos. There was some distance between the two, he wanted to give the unicat some space if he wanted it. If the unicat wanted to be closer then Carlos would move closer, simple as that. Or at least, that's the way it was in Adrian's mind."Dig in when you're ready." The space would also give them room to eat.
