Well, I suppose this forum was named to fill the objective intended when it was created, just as each individual forum has its own name and objective. However, if we were to change this forum to the "Cheese Forum" then we would have to abide by its new name and objective.

WillWintter does the name reflect the objective? yes, its name is debate forum and it exists to provide a small community to debate in. I know this because I am the creator of the forum.

In this case it does. It is a creation, and the names of creations usually reflect the objective. To keep with the cheese motif, if I were to rename this to the cheese forum, I could purposely express that the objective is different than the name; in that case name would not reflect purpose.

alucard: your saying you could rename this, but then it would go against your own argument on why it is named
furthermore, has this not turned back into a debate so both of your arguments are null?

Essentially you could say that none of this matters.

Firstoff, I never said this wasn't a debate; rather I said it was. Secondly, as I said, this forum is a creation of Twizted. He created this forum with the objective of debating. Now, at any given moment he could change the objective and the name of the forum to whatver he wants. If he changes the name, then he would have only done that. However, if he decides that he really wanted to have a cheese forum then after changing the name, he states the objective to he rest of the people.

WillWintter you said create, which means out of nothing. a power said to lay with god. and everything matters on some level by that logic coca cola would be god as well. however god created living things, this world, science suggests, has been around before any species, that the world is merely a given in the equation god is bestowed with the power to grant life

I don't beleive in god, but technically, Twizted is the god of this forum he created it and he can just as easily destroy it.
