James flopped down on the other bean bag and grinned a little as he speared an olive with a claw and ate it. "Only the best for the best," he replied after swallowing, and reached for a martini, deftly grasping it with a clawed paw. He was getting to be an expert at this. XD There would be an already waiting poured drink of champagne for her as well, as he lifts his own. "To Gwen, without a doubt the most beautiful Winiko ever summoned to this earth" (Way to lay it on thick immediately, James.), he proclaims, in a toast.

((To Iliena, Juliet, Alopni, Dynai, Ozzy and Mo))  "Yes, I guess they would be. Maybe a bit older then you." Stitiches knew that he was one of the first Winiko's and one of the first to breed, so Harley must have a bit older then Iliena.
"Oh, I see. What is you name?" Juliet hadn't said her name, but Stitiches was the only that didn't know her. "I'm Stitiches." The elder then looked to the 'son' of Iliena with a nod. Dinah couldn't help but go after one of the butterflies. She went into a pounce and missed the colorful winged one. Instead she landed on some of the food. The kitty looked back at her brother and Dynai who had a strange bag. I don't know if he really does like it, but he takes it anyway." Harley chuckled. "Well, Sarabi is adpoted. My dad is over there." She pointed to the elder with stitiches. You could tell he was her father. "Yes, Stitiches took care of me. Along with Zazu." She pointed to her familar that was floating near her. "So, we are sisters just not blood."  Blackheart had finally come to the party. She sat back by a tree. There were so many other's there. So many having fun and eating. It was just enough to get her there. She sat back and watched like she liked to do.

 He looked up, at her face, at her eyes, at that soft expression that was so, so beautiful. Tanzaku sighed, felt his heart filling. If this was what it meant to be in love, what it meant to only need one person, how empty was he before? And those starless nights, would they have gone on forever had he not met her? Indeed, this was an amazing dream, and though he never deserved to be saved...
A silence filled the spaces between them and he shivered- no silence, anything but silence- he'd spent his life in silence and emptiness, and he was afraid of it, afraid of everything, afraid of losing his lifeline.
He needed her with him.
And that was what he was trying to say, staring into those eyes as she asked him the same thing, all over again, it was like falling into something deep, comforting, and his heart; pounding, pounding in his chest like a thousand fae butterflies: IneedyouIneedyouIneedyou-
He swallowed, smiled.
"Are you sure we're talking about the same kind of love?" he chuckled, though there was a certain desperation in his eyes. He was hanging on to her every word- from this point on, she was his everything.

 "Love is love." She shrugged softly, a smile still playing on her face. "It doesn't matter where it comes from or who's sharing it, it's all the same. The intentions may be different, but at its core... it's all the same." Belle arched her neck a bit, bumping her cheek against his. She could see it now, in his eyes, his body, his voice; he just needed someone, anyone... and she had been the one to step in and catch him.
"Come with me." she said suddenly, backing up just a half step so that she could see his face better, "Won't you? You can't go on not having anyone to care for you, yeah?" She offered her smile to him, head tilting to the side. "I can't stay in the city, but you could... well, if you wanted to..."
Her voice trailed off for just a moment.
"Come stay at my home." Her smile widened into a toothy grin, claws digging into the wet sand as a gentle wave washed up over her paws. "Sometimes it's a little loud, and Lieu' can be a pain, but it's a home, and everyone keeps it that way." She paused to blow a piece of her mane out of her eyes. "Stay with me, yeah?"

Ilinea couldn't help but look around at all the other winis, there was such diversity. She had to admit it was nothing short of amazing when it came down to it. She began to wonder exactly what it was that they were all summoned for. She had to wonder what it exactly was that she was summoned for. Smiling a bit, Ilinea curled her tail around herself, listening to Stitches and Juillet speak. "Hm." Ilinea thought for a moment, her gaze switching between both winis with an almost mischievous smirk on her face. "Both of you are funny." She said at long last. Perhaps for once she had finally found the will to speak her own heart. "Arguing over who is better. It seems strange to me, but slightly amusing." She couldn't help but grin, it may have been a slightly childish grin but it hadn't lost any amusement. Maybe this was what Marek had been talking about all along.

Hjarn shrugged and clucked her tongue sarcastically. "A reject of life, of course." She took a disdainful look around and scoffed at all the happy little demons playing. It was like a hundred Calidrya clones. "So, what does a girl have to do around here to get a little fight going?"
Mo nodded and took a glance at Harley's father. An elder like himself. "I can definitely see the family resemblance." He chuckled and lowered himself to his knees, claiming a beanbag for his own.
Wallace tried not to focus on her tail under his chin, she was such a distraction, and instead aimed his attentions at his own sarcastic replies. "How about we just agree to be equal in the hottness department." He grinned and flicked the hair from his eyes, causing the stone to jingle. He still hadn't quite gotten used to having it up there, but everytime he felt it, he was reminded of Jun, so he didn't mind.
He took a look around and noticed a heaping pile of food next to a couple well placed bean bags. "My lady, would you care to try some exquisite delicacies?" He asked, in what he hoped was a knightly accent. He held up one paw, pointing the way and bowed low - careful not to spill his head pool of course.

Lieutenant had been stealthily stalking her baby brother the entire evening, much to both Cavalier and Beau's dismay. Whenever she got a chance, the female elder kept her daughter right in her line of sight, watching to see if she was moving to harass the baby again.
At this particular moment, neither Beau nor Captain were in sight; it appeared that they had left Cavalier unattended, curled up comfortably on a small beanbag. Crouching, Lieutenant crept from her hiding spot, slinking among the taller patches of grass until she was just behind her brother.
Then she pounced.
And then she missed.
Cavalier bolted from where he was, running as fast as his little legs would carry him. Lieutenant bounded after him, mane whipping behind her as she quickly closed the gap. It wasn't a challenge for her to chase the little one, but the look of fear on the baby's face had been good enough for her.
"Lieutenant, if I see you one more time-" Beau had spotted her now, and Lieutenant quickened her pace, leaping to tackle her brother into the ground.
And missed.
Hissing in anger, she sprung to her feet, eyes snapping from one place to another in search of her quarry. Where had he gone? He was just in front of her, now he was no where to be seen.
Lieutenant cursed under her breath and slunk off, shooting her mother a glance before loping over towards where Captain was now lying.
In the safety of a large, leafy shrub, Cavalier panted for his breath, eyes watching warily as his sister left. He exhaled, relaxing a bit, and settled in to hide there for a little while longer.

Cali flopped down on the ground, too exhausted even to leap up onto Sir Spiraly. Thing continued to buzz about her head, not tired in the least.
Cali glared up at it and muttered under her breath. "Why you follow me around, I'll never understand. Don't you have somewhere to go?" Thing responded by butting into the side of her face. Cali groaned and flung her front legs over her head in defense.

Tanzaku listened to her words deliberately, hearing the ringing of the sea birds in his ears. Love is love, love is love. It wasn't that easy, was it? He bit his lip, felt the warmth of her cheek, needed more. But he knew it wasn't in his place to take it. Belle was... well, she was sheltered, she was loved every day of her life. He was just a vagrant- did he really deserve to be with her? Wouldn't he be alright, just knowing she was out there, somewhere, thinking of him?
At his offer, her froze. He could see it now- them, all living together, even with this Lieu person, and that beautiful striped elder he saw, older, love in the air, mercy in his tongue -he wanted to say it: mercy, mercy, mercy, let me come with you.
But what came out was different. He smiled, though. He smiled and he joked though he was sure she saw that he wished he could live like that. But some things come too late.
"I still have Alyssa to care for. I don't know what I'd do if I lost her, I need to stay near her, or else I wouldn't feel safe," he explained quietly, willing her to understand. "I know she doesn't want me, but she's my bonded, and I can't just leave her. That's the main reason I lived outside, anyway- it's a safe place for a demon. One in a million can see us. My one in a million turned out to hate me."
He swallowed her, hard, looking at her. A wry laugh escaped his lips.
"But it'll be alright, I know it will! See, the city isn't so far from here, that's how I got here in the first place. How I saw you." his voice softened at her mention. "I can come, I'll come every day just to see you, but I can't put that burden on your bonded and your home. I'm used to living outside, anyway. Sometimes, a man's gotta keep his pride."

"True true" Kayin pouted in poorly feigned disappointment that Vienna had turned down his offer of Gwen. It was always worth a shot though right?? What he really thought would be better was a trade- for a certain pale and dark striped beauty...
"Hey....!" He said involuntarily, thought interrupted by her hopping up. It wasn't supposed to slip out but he had thought for a brief second she was going to leave! Seeing she had just moved around the other side, his heart settled back where it belonged.
"I mean... hey... that tickles!" He covered somewhat lamely, reaching a paw out to make a playful swat at her tail over the edge of his beanbag.

Gwen smiled, eyes glinting at his remarks. He was really pouring it on thick tonight. She reached her own paw out to lift her glass of champagne. It was not quite as practiced as James, but she maintained her graceful composure. Raising her glass, she tinked it gently to his martini.
"I can toast to that. To James as well, the most debonair - if not the most devious demon ever known!" She laughed, aura glowing about her as she sipped at her drink.

Deciding that ignoring the twerp was her best bet, she rolled to her feet and looked for something to do. "Bored, bored, bored.." She mumbled to herself as she walked along, wavng goodbye to Sir Spiraly.
Grrgrrrrllllgggrrr..., went her stomach. Hey! Something to do! She bounded over to a blanket, piled with lots of food stuff she didn't recognize. No matter.
Jumping right into the middle, knocking things over in her wake, she set about cramming stuff into her mouth.

Belle shook her head. She'd never felt distaste or dislike for anything in the world, anything; but when Tanzaku spoke of his bonded, she felt an angry pang in her heart. Did that girl even understand what it was for a demon to bond themself to someone? Obviously not, or maybe she'd appreciate his company, would love him like Capricorn loved every demon under her wing. She could understand how he felt about her; she understood enough that it didn't hurt when he said he couldn't stay.
At the same time, she felt like she did back on that little hill in the middle of the city. She had offered then, and he had said the same thing. Some day... sometime he would agree. She hoped so, at least.
"Maybe she'll come to love you," she started, thinking hard, "She'll come around someday... or, well, maybe she won't. I don't know her, but I can't see why anyone on earth could hate you, Tanzaku."
She smiled as he spoke of visiting. It was quite a hike from the city, at least to her; but that trip had been when she was little, not used to travel. "You're not a burden," she interjected, "My bonded... well, I told you once, remember? She believes all winiko have a purpose to fulfill here, and she'll welcome anyone into her home at any time, even if they don't share a blood bond."
"Pride?" she giggled softly; not at him, but at another thought. "Even if you don't stay, won't you come visit while you're this close? Twenty minutes down the shore and we're there, yeah? What do you say?"

 "Tickles?" Vienna grinned wickedly, bringing her tail back up from where it had been resting at her side. She had missed whatever worry had been in Kayin's voice at her movement, and had decided that it would be a fun opportunity to play around. Her tail avoided the swat, and her own paw reached up to retaliate against the male's movement. A soft giggle came from her lungs, caught up in the gentle way that summer made everyone feel that everything was completely right.
"I never would have thought that a big-bad-brute like yourself would be ticklish, Kayin," she commented, grinning widely, "Any other little secrets 'bout you?"

Jun smiled. "I think that's agreeable. Sexiest Wini ever summoned. We're quite a formidable pair."When he started speaking in that... that most ridiculous accent, she had to cover her mouth to hide the giggle. I giggled? She blushed, but smiled, and in her best princess tones- she learned from Juillet- responded. "My dear sir, I would be honored to accompany you." She followed him in step to the beanbags and the food, allowing herself to gracefully flop down on the beanbag with an ever so faint purr.

Juillet nodded to Stitches. "Juillet. It's a pleasure to meet you." She was about to extend her paw in greeting, but stopped at Ilinea's comment. Normally, such a comment would have been insulting, but this was Ilinea. She never said anything offensive. "You think so, hm?" She smiled happily. "I've always been a bit silly though." She chuckled.

Oh no, in covering for one reaction he had caused another problem! Ticklish? Not he! If word like that got around it could ruin his cool-guy image. Good thing he didn't care. Kayin ducked a bit, avoiding her retaliation swipe.
"I'm not ticklish who said anything about ticklish?" He snorted, as if the very thought were beneath him... then grinned and swapped a big paw at Vienna's tail again. He was mischievous and playful, but completely harmless like a big squishy teddy bear (ok WHO is typing for me dangit! D: ). Leaning forward, he got a conspiratorial look in his eyes.
"Weeelll speaking of big-bad-brutes... I do have another secret...," he paused for very dramatic effect, then looked down at his other paw and lifted it, "I'm a grape-killer." He finished with a laugh revealing he had accidentally squished the remaining grapes in his playful attacks.
