Him and his men proceeded forward into the desert. Amenophis proceeded to take the lead, his stride long and evenly paced. His eyes looking forward, while his two gaurds gaze to their side and once in awhile to their rear. The sand dusted itself into their sandals from time to time, but being around the sand their entire life, it phased them little. The heat that emulated from the desert itself was nothing compared to the heat that pounded upon them from above. His Gaurds each carried two canister's of water upon their their back, supported by well woven ropes.
As the city slowly got further away, Amenophis could see in the far distance three undistiguished shapes coming into view. He spoke back to his gaurds without turning to face them, "It appears theirs something up ahead, be on gaurd." He always spoke in ancient egyptian, however knew how to speak a few languages extremly rough.

Karah looked at the man speaking to her in botched Latin. "I will take that you are not from around here. I do not know any Arabic, I'm sorry." She tipped her head to the side then perked up a little. She turned to see someone approaching. Her eyes narrowed. 'I wonder who that is?' she thought to herself. "Is there anyway I an assist you? I do not go into town much but I do know where the inn is located." she explained, gesturing towards town. She thought about what she was saying. 'What if they didn't understand what I had said?' she pondered slightly.

((Haha, I had exactly the same reaction XD Maybe he was right))
Hala looked at the strange girl blankly as she spoke, completely failing to pick out any meaning from her speech. Though a few sounded vaguely like French words that she knew, they made even less sense disjointed than if she understood nothing at all. She looked to Aleks, and suddenly a thought occurred to her. A phone. Why didn't I think of that earlier?? I have a phone. I can call someone to help, maybe Khalid...
Hala quickly fished out her cell phone from her purse, shading the screen with her hand and squinting so she could see the dim display. It was probably outdated by a calculator, and had seen better days. No reception. Well that was unsurprising, though it still managed to lower her spirits. It was either 8 or 9 something, she couldn't quite read the blocky digits. And it was Friday, of course.
They could probably make it to the city in an hour or two if they hurried… That wouldn't be long enough for things to really get out of hand, would it? Her sisters would have missed a day of school, but Nailah was old enough to look after the other two for a little while. She hoped. She'd have to reschedule things, but it'd all still be there when they got back. She obstinately continued ignoring the nagging feeling growing in the back of her mind, an unexplainable sense of dread that made was making her important scheduling concerns seem completely trivial. It's silly to worry, she decided, I got spooked by the storm, and that's -all-.
Hala sighed as she tucked the useless device back in her purse and began to re-plan her day. She wasn't really disappointed though, it was good to feel sane again. Looking back to their small gathering, she didn't notice that the three dark flecks in the distance that she had taken for trees were steadily drawing closer and closer, forming into distinctly person-shaped silhouettes as they quickly grew larger.

Him and his men descended a small sand-dune and would climb the otherside with much effort. The Anubis Masks upon the two gaurds, gleamed within the sun's pearless light. The reflective nature came from the golden pieces of metal along the masks exterior. Both of them sweated underneath them, but had grown accustomed to doing so. They had no choice but to bare these masks, as it was ment to make Amenophis appear higher then the local folk-lored gods.
As they got about halfway to these strange figures that gained the shape of what was clearly humans, he hastened his steps. The clanging sounds of his gaurds movement behind him echoed in a muffeled sound into the desert beyond.
When he was about twelve feet from these strangers, with the odd clothing and bags (except for one of them) he said "Hello" in Several Languages as he forgot his priestess to aid in translation, and as he studied with the temple's inner order he had picked up allot. He wasnt known as the Prince of Wisdom for lacking education. One of the languages he used was English, however even the single word he spoke was riddled with a thick accent.
[ Figured since his royalty, the odds of him being taught other languages would be extremly high, especially since royalty and the priest order was the only people in this time period of thebes that would have the time to study. ]

((Well, he would know a lot of languages yes, but modern day English is a relatively new invention; it won't be spoken anywhere in the world until a few thousand years from this date. Actually, most modern day languages are improvments over old ones, so unless he speaks Hebrew and someone in our party is Jewish and took the time to learn the whole language fluently enough to speak it, the chances of Amenophis knowing a language they can speak is pretty slim; we're talking 0.001% here.))

((( I haven’t really known what to post, but I will post anyway so you know Im still alive. XD )))
Jack had been more than ready to be on his way. While trekking through the desert accompanied by three strangers wasn’t exactly his idea of fun, the prospect of staying here and mulling over what just happened seemed considerably less bearable. The rest of the group was even considering going with him, but the arrival of a new woman distracted them.
Jack shoved his hands into his jacket’s pockets impatiently. He wasn’t worried that the small woman would pose a threat, as some of the other strangers seemed to be. He was just feeling rather irritable and her appearance had further set off his mood. Jack gave everyone fair time to chat over the strange girl before walking back over to them.
He gesticulated, showing further impatience, and was about to suggest they get moving when three more strangers showed themselves. Now these people worried him. Unlike the young girl who seemed mostly harmless and uninteresting besides her language, these new men were adorned richly and looked ready for battle. It was obvious that two of them were guards. Jack wondered who the man in the middle of the guards was. It wasn’t uncommon to be accompanied by guards when traveling in a place so notorious for death and pain as an Egyptian dessert, but they way they dressed and carried themselves just screamed danger in his mind.
“Perhaps we should be leaving,” Jack muttered to the three people he felt oddly connected too. He took another step forward so that he was a breath in front of them. To anyone else this would be a protective gesture, but Jack thought nothing of it.

Karah spinned around to look at the approaching company. 'What could he possibly want.' she thought to herself. She quickly pulled up her hood and bowed lowly to him. She wasn't one to show others as being greater than her but she wasn't going to risk her neck just because they considered her disrespectful. She didn't bother speaking as she slowly sidled out of the way, flashing a worried look to the forgien looking people. "May the gods protect you all" she whispered to them as she stood beside them looking demure.

The sound of someone calling out repeatedly snapped Nadira's attention off of Hala's mental health and away from trying to understand what Aleks and the strange girl were saying to each other. She turned slightly, noticing first that the odd man who'd just walked off without them was back and now standing infront of them as if he were trying to protect them from something, a gesture that was caught and stored away in her mind to help her understand these people better but one that didn't make sense compaired to his earlier actions. Continuing to turn she now saw a man with what appeared to be a head of the ancient god Anubis ontop of his own, and she kind of stopped turning after that.
Eyes locked onto the closest guard she stared him down, mind a complete blank while she took in everything about that one man alone. Her mind was in shock, frozen solid in it's mold, and she actually felt herself grow cold despite the heat. 'I told you so.' The same little voice that had told her earlier what she hadn't wanted to believe whispered in the back of her mind, but to keep her sanity she chose to look at the other two men as well and pick out something else other than where they might be in an effort to keep her sanity from snapping; good thing all three men were basically wearing only skirts, that proved as an easy and quick distraction.
If Nadira had been the kind of woman who was used to the sight of shirtless men she probably wouldn't have thought thier appearance strange, but she didn't live in America or any other Western civilization, oh no; Nadira lived in the Middle East. Men don't walk around like that often, ok, at all. So for a moment she was content to just calmly oggle them, at least, until she realized what that little voice had tol her earlier. Fourtantely though her little break to stop and oggle the Egyptians had actually given her brain enough time to overcome it's shock and realitively calm down, though it still made her feel rather cold.
Shivering slightly she stepped even closer to Hala, now more for her own comfort than for the other womans. She knew where they were now, she knew it so abruptly and suddenly and without dispute by other pieces of the puzzle that she was forced to accept it and was almost calmed by the thought of her world now making sense again in it's new strangeness; everything would make sense now that she knew this one detail. <<"We're in Ancient Egypt...">> She whispered under her breath softly, mind searching for the word that she knew meant Egypt in the ancient language, it was the only word she knew, and only because it had been in her textbook on history when she still went to school.
Quietly Nadira stepped back away from the other woman, closer to these strange people, and she focused her attention on the one in the middle, the obvious leader. "Khemet?" She called out in question, motioning to those around her as if asking if that's where they were. Desperately she hoped he'd laugh or something, turn out to merely be someone in costume and that this was all some strange massive prank, but somehow she just knew he wouldn't; she could feel it in the dread in her stomach and in the twisting of her heart.

<<"Hm?">> Hala blinked and looked up. Nadira's unsettled whisper had pulled her mind reluctantly back to the present, even while the approaching clamor of armor and loud calls had failed to, so intently had she been staring into the sand. Her brain actually registered the meaning of the statement a moment later and she frowned slightly. I can' t have heard that right... <> She looked up at Nadira in surprise, expecting another explanation. Her eyes widened a little as she saw the woman's expression, drawing a little closer to her, almost .... fearfully. No , that word couldn't possibly fit her, but still... her gaze bounced quickly from Nadira's face to follow her line of sight and find what had caused the odd look on her face.
And find it she did. If Hala's eyes were wide before, they looked like they were about to fall out of her head at the sight of the three men standing a few yards away in what looked like Ancient Egyptian armor. Her mind went numb, and she stared stupidly at them for a long moment, shocked completely out of any thought. Her face slowly reddened to a brilliant shade of pink as she realized how little Ancient Egyptian armor they were actually wearing, but she couldn't seem force herself to look away, still staring dumbly.
It must be a joke... She felt the stifling tension cause something to snap as light, frantic laughter burst from her lips, not at all in accordance with the ice-cold terror that ran through her veins. A stupid prank, of course that's it. Or maybe they're not quite right in the head. Those gift shops back in town sell enough garbage to pull a stupid stunt like this.
More unhealthy laughter escaped her at the thought, bubbling up of its own accord as she pointed toward them, her voice wavering in a faint, reedy pitch between unstable giggles as she explained it aloud, <> She couldn't force herself to say it, squeaking instead, <> Of course, her eyes saw the glint of metal, every sign that they weren't dressed up, but she chose to ignore it.
She's right...Her face faded from tomato red to a rather unhealthy shade of gray as the certainty descended on her, but she still refused to accept it. Instead, she turned her back on the warriors and wandered an aimless few steps back the way they came, bizarrely hoping that everything would disappear. She began shaking her head with a note of the terrified, hysterical humor returning to her voice as she mumbled to no one in particular, replying to her own thought. <>

He looked at these strangers and then waved to his men to surround them on two other flanks. Both pointed their individual spears towards the group as they slowly circled. He himself, stood in place and was begining to get the idea that these individuals were not from this place. He did notice one bow to him as he looked at her and spoke in ancient tounge.
"You, Who are these people. Where do they come from?"
His posture was perfect, and his hands rested upon the hilts of his scimitars. He didnt know wiether or not to take these people as hostile or as refugees. Regardless only one dare to bow, and the others stood their ground. His face showed a scourn appearence and his eyes showed a fierce nature within them. He smiled within himself and decided to test them.
He did release one of his hands from one of his weapons to pull a canister of water up and over his head. While the canister was grasped tightly within his left hand, he shoved it forward offering any to take it, Testing to see if they are either Hostile or come in peace.

((Sorry for not posting lately kit)) Seth looked at Femi with amusement. "How did you forget your brother's names and your own last name" he asked Femi. In his mind though he was wondering why there was a procession of guards heading out into the desert. "What is of consequence out there?" he muttered to himself taking a bite out of the apple.

She cringed at how he addressed her. 'You, I have a name you know' she thought to herself, starting to get rather flustered. "I do not know where they come from" Karah responding in the Ancient tongue looking at the ground. "I was out here walking around and I spotted them." she shifted around uncomfortably not liking to lower herself to others just because they were born to a higher caste. The katars that were wrapped up and attached to her belt bumped against her back reminding her she was not as helpless as these people thought.

Blushing silently to herself she looks down and forces herself more on taking apart the pomegrante than thinking about Seth. "Well... quite easily, actually..." She murmured to herself before looking back up, frowning at him and then following his gaze. Immediately she thought about what had happened out there earlier and wondered why Seth hadn't realized that either. "Maybe... they're going out to where we were?" She asked, hoping her got the hint without her hacing to say it out loud... still, she hoped he didn't get upset again...

Still holding the water out to the people, and towards the girl who spoke the tounge, he was waiting for one of them to grasp it, claim it. He thought to himself, their clothing is so strange, and the fact they seem so bewildered its as if this is their first time in my fathers lands. He was frustrated by the fact he didnt have an answer as to why these foriegners had come.
"I do appologize, even royalty should have manners. I am Amenophis, Prince of Thebes. You have nothing to fear as long as I, myself dont. Please may I inquire your name, " He asked the only one that could understand him?
He wasnt such a snob, he just had been taken back by the odd nature of this group. He had never seen clothing like this in his entire life, and he couldnt even reference his own learnings.

Karah held her hands at her side, not lowering her guard. "My name is Karah, from a nomadic tribe that pasted through here a few years ago. I chose to stay behind in." she explained stiffly, tilting her head up to see out from under her hood. "It is an honor to stand in your presence" she stated bowing in a humble way which was false, but she knew that royalty should be respected so she played along
