He picked out a teabag and put it in the hotwater, waiting for it to get as strong as he liked. "My my, full of questions and so passionate. Admireable traits, but you must remember one question at a time. I shall never keep them all straight." Pyralis laughed warmly again. What was it about this woman that had him so cheery? "We did talk of that particular book. He was very unsure of the phantom's personality, but I assured him the effect would be desirable. A perfect villian to be remembered for years to come." What a long time ago that had been. "I'm glad to see that it turned out as well as it did. Like I said. A very interesting man. Loved his work, and it shows in his writing." Gesturing to the rest of the books, he winked. "Any other authors you're curious about?"

Anna found herself smiling at him in an almost childish way. Despite her elven heritage, she still retained a certain youthfulness that never failed to peak in odd situations. "Oh... I wouldn't know who you've met. But, then again, I barely even know who you are." Anna felt very silly. "You said your surname was Flameweaver? May I call you Pyralis?"

"Ah, forgive me. You may of course call me Pyralis, Miss Souris. I am Arondis Flameweaver's son, and a new teacher for this school at her request." She had such a cute mannerism that he couldn't help but find charming. "And your position here would be?" He was curious as to who exactly he had stumbled apon.

"Oh, you may call me Anna, Belle, whatever suits you. And, I'm working in admissions. I may have a temporary teaching position, if I find time." Anna was impressed at Arondis' speedy calling of her son. How much time had passed, an hour? If even? "I hope you settle in well here. Just today I had a fainting spell from the Gate."

"I hope you are feeling better?" She looked well, but their was a hint of exaughstion. "I know these jobs can be taxing. You should rest dear Anna." Pyralis remembered the toll this kind of work took out of other teachers at similar schools. None had the secret that this one had, but the other realms had their work cut out for them in their own way. "If I am disturbing you, I can take my leave." The man didn't want to cause anyone distress in his first moments here.

"You aren't distressing me at all," she assured. Anna really didn't want him to leave so soon, despite her fatigue. "Thanks to your mother, I'm feeling much better. But I should be the one apologizing for stealing you away like this, You were looking for the Headmaster... but then you mentioned authors, and I got carried away with myself." Anna laughed gaily at her own expense. The worlds she found in books were always so much more intriguing than the one she found herself in, and yet the way her life had gone so far, she was indeed living a fairy tale.

"Well," Pyralis stood and offered a hand to the elf. "then lets at least get you something to eat. I'll talk with the headmaster soon enough." He smiled warmly. "We can even talk about other authors. I've met quite a few in my time, that is for certain." Just a casual dinner between two co-workers, and it seemed that Anna could use it. Getting her mind off her work would probably do her some good, he thought. He figured he could use a bite to eat as well, he hadn't had dinner quite yet before his mother had summoned him.

"Oh, that would be lovely. I haven't eaten all day." That small tin of cookies was running low, from both the students and her nibbling. With all of her guests, she hadn't the time to get any food for her stomach, only thought. "Where will we be going?" She gladly took his hand and was pulled to her feet.

He had to think for a moment. They could simply get something from the school dining hall, but that didn't sound overly appealing, despite the reputation for it being good food. The Swagering Wizard Ale House? Definitely not a place to take a lady. Ah, the Minister and Cleric Inn. Arondis had mentioned a few places to him and that was a place said to have excellent food. "How about the Minister and Cleric Inn? Call me paranoid, but I rarely trust school food." Pyralis laughed at his own jest. He held out his arm to escort Anna in an old fashioned way. Let's just say he had been popular among the ladies back then, though he had shown interest in only a few.

Before they went anywhere, Anna retrived her small handbag from her desk, then resumed her place by his side. The familiar blush crept to her cheeks just a shade lighter than before as she gently took his arm. "I think it's a lovely place. I was only able to stay for a bit, but the atmosphere was very calming. Almost like home." For a moment, Anna envisioned her little hideaway in the countryside where magic was just as normal as night and day. How she missed her home...

"Then it's there that we go." The sadness she felt for home was felt by Pyralis, and he gently patted her hand with his free one. Perhaps if the friendship developed, she would show him her home; maybe even vice versa. The two exited the office, closing the door behind them, and continued down the hall together. It was off to Moline and a dinner much anticipated by both.

The door slowly opened to reveal a couple, arm in arm, that had been in the office what seemed only moments ago, and yet such a fantastical connection of the unwordly type had occurred between them since then. A simple outing to the inn had made them like old friends, and it wasn't until the fish pond that Anna's subconscious spell had worked it's way into the heart of Pyralis. Her gentle, genuine nature had earned her an unexpected kiss and a soulmate.
Going over everything in her mind, Anna's thoughts were like a novel. She so desperately hoped that this extraordinary bond was real. She didn't want an end to this story. Not ever. Her heart told her that he was indeed the one she had fantasized about, while his kiss was unmistakable. When Anna had said that she had dreamt of it, she was speaking the truth. Months ago she had the dream, where all was darkness, yet there was such warmth about her and a gentle kiss. Pyralis was always warm, as if he had a constant fever. The moment was perfect, and if one dreams of a moment like that only to have it happen, Anna was convinced it must mean something and everything all at once.
Her hand found the light switch just inside the doorway, creating an almost gloomy, lazy glow within the study. "This was a beautiful evening," she said to Pyralis. "But I'm so tired... Are you still off to see the Headmaster?"

"Yes, my dear Anna, that is where I go next." Smiling down at her, he stroked some strands of hair away from her face. The same hand came back to rest on her cheek. "You need your rest for now, and I will see you in the morning." It was more on the side of he needed to see her again soon. They had only just become close, but it didn't feel like it. The dragon within demanded she be safe, but he tempered it. Anna was safe within the school.
Still very gentle with her as if she might break, he kissed her softly before pulling away with a heavy sigh. "Rest well with beautiful dreams to see you through the night." He already knew what his own dream would be once sleep took him.

Every time he kissed her, she felt as if an electric shock went through her heart. She loved the sensation, even venturing to place her hand gent;y on his cheek.
"Alright. And you as well. Good night..." Already she wished sleep would take her to see the morning. "Kaien's a kind man. He should be able to help you with anything you need." Slowly she walked him to the door to say a temporary good-bye.

"I shall take your word on it." Eyes locked together for a moment and then Pyralis had to go. "Good night Amael." With a gentlemanly bow, he winked, and stepped from the room. Seemingly at ease, he continued down the hall in search of the headmaster's office. It was almost impossible, be he forced himself not to look back at Anna. Even for the small time, he knew he'd never free himself from her captivating eyes if he did.
