Maryl hurried after Seth, "Okay." Her cheery demeanor quickly turned serious as something came to mind. "By the way, what do you think those creatures were that attacked us?" She had no idea what to think of them but figured at least if Seth didn't know, she could provide some insight.

Seth thought back to the beasts that attacked them, remembering what they looked like, and how they fought. Her expression narrowed as she thought about it. "I'm not sure. They were too weak to be demons, though they looked like them. They were probably netherbeasts."She folded her arms behind her, still clutching the stone.

Maryl scratched her head in confusion. "Nether... beast?" She had no idea what to make of such a concept. She remembered the large one dropped that stone Seth was currently carrying and took a quick glance at it. "And what about that rock?"

Seth shrugged, "Well, netherbeast is a general term for things that live within the twisting nether, the space between realms. It used to all be speculation but some recent breakthroughs have brought up facts to support it. Such as this stone, It's called 'Nethercite' ore..." She unfolded her arms and held it up to give Maryl a good look. "This piece looks pretty enriched too."

Maryl gulped and sweated a bit. She vaguely remembered the twisting nether, it was allways visible whenever she used a teleport or dimension door spell. She had no idea that the infinite space she would see contained dastardly creatures such as the ones they faced earlier. It was sort of confusing as to how something like this never came up in spell explanations.
She decided upon a change of subject. "So nethercite ore? What does it do?"

Seth looked at the rock, "It's usually used as a catalyst for gnomish teleportation technology. It can also be applied as a natural anti-metal so forging it makes it a good replacement for vorpal or energy enchantments on weapons. It's pretty valuable but since it's so rare, it's unlikely most people even know what it is." As they were starting to approach the edge of town, Seth put the stone away, stashing it safely in her bag.

Returning from the trip to City hall, Seth unlocked the front door and pushed it open. She stepped in and waited for Maryl to follow before closing it. The house was still quiet and empty. "I wonder where dad went? he said he'd be here all day... he probably got bored."

Maryl made her way to the couch and sat down, slumping over from fatigue. It was nice to finally get off her feet. "Well, maybe he had to run some errands?" She pulled her hat down and closed her eyes for a moment.

Seth made her way to the couch and sat down next to Maryl, also slumping back into the cushioning. "That sounds a bit bizarre, he usually makes me do them unless its late or... Well I do have that presentation tomorrow." it was a pretty plush couch, Seth was starting to doze off. "I'm sure he'll be back soon."

Maryl raised her hat and looked over at Seth who looked rather sleepy. "So how should we split our reward?" She couldn't help but feel a bit sleepy too.

Maryl shook away the sandman remembering something important. She sat up and straightened up her hat. "That battle at Omgitt Jord!" She exclaimed, sitting up and going over to her crystal ball on the coffee table. "I completely forgot about it, I want to know what happened."

Seth sat up, still rather sleepy. "I forgot about that too. I hope its over." She slid forward on the couch and leaned in, to watch Maryl and see the Crystal ball.
Kel entered the forge area from the back way, tossing his loaded sack against the furnace nearby. He shut the door behind him and made his way off to the door to the house. Pushing the door wide open, Kel entered the hall way and passed the kitchen making his way to the stairwell. Noticing Maryl and Seth hanging out in the living room, Kel paused at the banister. "Ah, you two are back already?"
Seth looked back and up at her father very briefly but went back to Maryl.

Maryl looked up at Kel once and smiled before returning to her crystal ball, after casting her hands around it and making a few gestures, the globe began to glow. Images of the fight were quickly projected up to the end and the clearing of the area. Maryl looked rather glum after what she had just seen. "They... they poisoned the land... How could he do this?"

Seth sat back on her shins on the floor as she watched the crystal ball carefully. It was a very disturbing sight to see so much destruction. She leaned forward onto the coffee table and shook her head. "Ugh, What happens if he poisons the entire planet with that black fire stuff. Why does he even use it?"
Kel took a knee and leaned in, watching the crystal ball as well. As the images ended he stood up and run a hand up his forehead and through his hair. He was a bit disgusted but not terribly surprised. He looked down at Seth after she asked a question. "I had been working under the idea that Colm couldn't actually control his power. I had to intervene the last time I saw him fight because he put innocent bystanders in danger. From what I saw here, and back at the castle, I'm pretty certain he's incapable of actually controlling his power. It doesn't actually seem that immense either, it just seems like feeble understanding of it." He rolled his eyes in disgust, "With age comes wisdom, my a**."

Maryl looked up at Kel, whith a most determined expression. "I need to go to Omgitt Jord!" She shook her head, "I can do it! I can undo the damage dealt by the black flames! Please! Just take me there."
