She nodded, knowing she would speak with Gabe about fixing the rip once she got back. It would be fine for the time being.
"There is good news depending on how you view it. While the force is unknown, it is secured within the school grounds. It can go no further into your realm." Arondis was glad to provide him this small consolance. He was good at keeping organized and handling all situations; she respected him deeply for that, placing a lot of trust in Kaien. "It should be found and identified soon, but we need you to keep an eye out and feel for it if you can." She took another sip of tea again and smiled. "You have happier matters to think about as well, I'm told."

"Do I?" Kaien responded slyly, but as he began to expand upon his comment, he heard the crashing from Anna's office down the hall. He was beginning to wonder what had happened when the effect of an especially large ripple hit him. Kaien felt instant nausea and the curious sensation of his head filling with helium.
He knew, then, what had caused the crash from Anna's office. He locked eyes with Arondis for a moment, knowing that she probably felt the wave too. "Anna...she's not used to the effects...we should check on her." His expression was both apologetic and anxious. If one of his newest teachers fell ill, rumors that his campus wasn't safe would become a high burden to him.

Arondis did feel the ripple. Instead of the nausea Kaien felt, she felt her powers flare and then disappear. It did so several times, causing a discomforting sensation and she frowned. That was a particularly power ripple. They were getting worse.
"Of course." Her thoughts were already thinking the same thing at the sound of the crash, and she rose immediately. Making no noise, she gracefully hurried out the room with the headmaster and continued down the hall to the other teacher's office.

---------------------------------------Several Hours later--------------------------------------- Having just come from Anna's office, what appeared to be a man in his mid-20s walked down the hall at a quick pace. Besides his pace, the man seemed in no hurry, completely calm. A strong fist reached up a rapped on the door several times before waiting patiently. He hoped the headmaster was in. It was a bit late after he had left Anna to rest, but somehow he figured the headmaster had been developing the habit of late nights because of this school, if he hadn't had this habit already.

Kaien was settling back into his office life when he heard the knock. He vaguely wondered who it was, as Anna commonly took care of admitting new students to Grove.
He found that Arondis' tea had given him some of his usual energy back, but he was still exhausted. He sighed and called out to the mysterious knocker.
"Please come in, the door is unlocked." He poured himself a little of the stale coffee left in the pot on his desk. It was going cold now, but it would be better than nothing. Where as the blood-loss had been compensated for, caffeine would be needed to finish the job.

Opening the door, Pyralis stepped through, closing it behind him. He approached the headmaster and bowed respectfully. "Good evening Headmaster. Forgive the late hour, but I have a need to speak with you." Stepping right up to the desk, he offered his hand. "Pyralis Aquila Flameweaver. At the request of my mother, I am here for a teaching position." The man smiled, no doubt Kaien hadn't expected such a quick response to his request for teachers. Arondis had been quick with her summons, not to mention that he had even had taken time to 'aquaint' himself with Anna.

"A-ah...that was very efficient! Not but what I would expect from your Mother, but please come in and take a seat." Kaien rose when he realized that his visitor was someone not here as a student, but as a potential teacher. Arondis certainly had come through for him. He hadn't expected an answer so quickly.
"You are quite young to be teaching, but I've no doubt we can find a place for you. What is it that you'd like to speak with me about?" He asked, sitting down after ensuring that he had shown the proper courtesy to Pyralis.

Young. Quite young. He couldn't help it, Pyralis had to chuckle at Kaien's comment. "Oh I assure you, I have enough years of experience to teach whatever you require of me." In a way, he was only moderately old when compared to other dragons. Still, 1050 years what a long time to have lived.
He took the seat avaliable to him on the other side of the desk. "To be blunt, I wonder what is is you'd like for me to teach and I shall need to know about lodgings. Naturally I can aquire my own if necessary." Though still displaying proper respect, the man seemed very relaxed about the whole thing.

Kaien smiled. "Easy questions to answer. I shall probably ask you to teach the keystone class - the one reserved for our students from the other realms. Since I trust Anna's ability to educate our human students in her gentle way, I'll leave them to her."
"You'll find that some of the keystone class is difficult to handle, others are relatively laid back. Your experience in the Realms will prove useful in keeping them under control."
Kaien sighed thinking of the incident earlier. Pyralis would need all the help he could get with some of them.
"As for quarters, teachers are invited to stay in the Chateau. You will have full access to the private library here, and any rooms that do not belong to anyone specific. You will also keep an office here, just down the hall between mine and Anna's...you'll have seen it on the way here."

A smile appeared on Pyralis's own face. Yes, Anna was certainly gentle enough to deal with any human students. The keystone students would suit him just fine; he was glad he had been spending more time in the realms lately. That would indeed prove useful with dealings with the students. Some of them would no doubt be a handfull.
Pyralis was glad to hear that he could stay here. It would be much easier to keep an eye on students and perform other tasks should the headmaster call on his services. "Ah yes, I did happen to see it on the way and paid my respects to Ms. Souris. She was most welcoming." He smiled, thinking of the past hour or so they had spent in each others company. With great care, he shook the thoughts away and stood. "I shall get my space set up shortly then. I wouldn't want to keep you any longer Mr. Sordeau. It was a pleasure to meet you; I look forward to future encounters." With another gentlemanly bow, he dismissed himself from the office.

Kaien was busy filing paperwork for the new students that had arrived. Many of the Keystone students required special circumstances and permission to travel back and forth between the Mortal world and the Realms. The humans, on the other hand, had to show proof of good medical standing and emergency contacts in case someone should become injured.
It was rather dull, all of this formality, and he'd rather be supervising some of the classes and goings on around the grounds. He knew that frequently, humans were being confronted with the uncomfortable truth that they were not the only species in the world and he wanted to make sure that they felt safe despite their physical disadvantages. He gazed out of the window, watching the sky and daydreaming about less formal days when he could enjoy himself on the campus he loved.

Not wanting to bombard the headmaster with unpleasant news right away, Pyralis knocked on the office door and waited with a pleasant expression. There weren't any sounds to indicate a student or some other manner of person within other than the headmaster, so he hoped his timing was somewhat decent for a discussion. It wasn't one that promised to be short.

Annabelle Souris emerged from her room in a simple, but rather pretty purple dress. She thought that seeing the Headmaster required a bit more than her usual grey or school-blue dresses, and hoped that Kaien hadn't been too stressed lately. Surely if he was, he wouldn't like the idea she was about to propose: a group meeting.
The elf walked down the hallway, and no sooner had she turned the corner did she see Pyralis standing in front of the door, his hand coming down to his side as if he had just knocked. "Good morning!" she chimed as she came to his side. "Are we on the same train of thought?"
