Genji walked into the Squad 7 training grounds to see if he could see some of his friends. He did find his good friend Rose and his trusted teacher, Yamoto-sensei. "Hello, Rose," greeted Genji happily. "How are you? How are you, Yamoto-sensei? You look well today."

"I am fine. I was hoping to practice my kido with Yamoto-sensei. You see, there is this member in my squad named Yoh. He is a good guy. Anyhow, he went to learn from the captain of squad 5. I watched them for a bit and realized that I could use some work. For one, I should learn Shot of Fire."

Yamoto looks up,. "My practice with kidou is that if you can one spell you can earn them all with time, but seeing as you find this important." Yamoto puts his hands to the ground. After few seconds 2 wooden dummies appears 10 feet away. "Now hold you hand up like so." Yamoto hols his hand up so that the palm is facing the dummy. "Most beginners like to hold their rist for safety purposes. Now repeat after me. Ye Lord, mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of man, Inferno and Pandemonium, the sea barrier surges, march on the south. Hadou 31. Shot of Red Fire." As the Yamoto said the spell, a largered fire ball forms in his palm. The ball is relased and makes contact with the dummy completly destroying it. Yamoto looks at Genji. "This is one of the more difficult of the basic kidou, so be carefull."

"I understand," said Genji. He positioned himself carefully and raised his right arm. "One of the more difficult of the basic kido," Genji heard the words repeat in his mind. That was not enough to rattle him. With a deep breath, Genji held his wrist with his left hand and then said the chant, "Ye Lord, mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of man, Inferno and Pandemonium, the sea barrier surges, march on the south. Hadou 31. Shot of Red Fire!" The ball of energy shot from Genji's hand with a kick. The recoil surprised him, but he didn't loose his footing. The blast flew towards the dummy and destroyed it. Genji turned to Yamoto-sensei. "How did I do, sir?"

"Very good, very good indeed, but you felt why having that other hand there makes you stay on you're feet. Without that hand you would have been on the ground and depending on the opponent probally dead. Seeing as that was your only problem I see no use in trying again."

toushiro walks onto the field and sits near rose as he has nothing better to do...enjoying the warm temperature and the cool breeze.
