Following Lucind through the town, the monk looked around through the slits in the mask on his face, taking in the lively area. when they got to the cafe, he gazed up its side at the tall building before entering.
Inside, Kraun kept quiet as the woman showed him around, first on the first floor, and then on the second. The second floor was interesting, as it provided many books, which would probably provide a lot of information for his learning. On the third floor, he peered over the railing down onto the tops of the shelves in the floor underneath before following the woman into the elevator.
When he stepped out of the confined space, he wandered around the small platform silently as the woman spoke.
"Thank you." he replied quietly in return for her hospitality, "Candles will be fine."
He stood at the edge of the building roof as he took off his mask and let the breeze blow his hood off, staring into space. "I might." was his simple, though truthful reply.

Lucind Varhetel Lucind smiled and led him out of the store and around the building to its backside: a small garden with some rose bushes, fruit trees, an iron bench, a lantern and a small, marble fountain was to be found there. "Now, this is what I call a surprise." The woman turned around to look fascinated at the blue, "liquid" form of Enki. Extending a hand to touch his arm she inquired: "What happened? What did this man want from you?"
*Leaviathan follows her and looks around at the small garden, then passes his hand over one of the roses, a bit of liquid falling from his body onto the still budding flower. As Lucind reaches out to touch him, her hand passes right through his "skin" into his watery form. When she pulls away, she will realize that although her hand fingers were inside the water, feeling it, her hand will be as dry as it was before she touched him. Leviathan then turns to Lucind, his hand still over the rose and replies*
Appearently he wanted information about something. He seemed very interested in the powers of the stadium, and about the Gaian Special Forces...
*He then turns back to the rose and pulls his hand away, the once bright red bud now a deep violet*
This rose will bloom tomorrow... It will be one of a kind.
*Unknown to Lucind, the once red rose will bloom and become a beautiful, glistening blue*

((Well, seems like Lucind woulda ended up dry no matter what xp ))
*Leviathan looks around a little bit, gazing at everything around him, but at the same time, checking to make sure no one comes out and sees him*
That man... he did not directly harm me, though it was obvious that his intentions were by no means good natured. I needed to do this to attempt to rid my body of that chemical that was in the green smoke of his tobacco pipe. I do not wish to stay like this long, for if any of the natives were to see me like this, there would be a large mob. But at the same time, transforming back would be very unpleasant and would draw even more attention...

She shot him a glance, watching his profile and for the first time it occured to her how much his features resembled those of a statue, made of marble...or ice. Nearly perfect lines, well defined. Was this beauty? She was suddenly reminded of her fullblooded mates: almost the same unworldly touch, distant, cold. With a quick comparison of his pale skin with her own she averted her eyes from the man and watched the town waking up.
When she walked back with him into her room she mentioned he could also use it as long as the accommodation in the cellar wasn't ready. "There should be enough candles down in the storing room. We can have a look later. - And I have to talk with my staff, of course, so that they know it's okay with you wandering around here," she smiled and rubbed her neck, knowing that it wasn't that simple at all. Maybe one of them wanted to leave after meeting Kraun.
Which brought her back to another question: How did others feel when standing close to him? For she had the feeling "normal" people were more intimidated by his presence than she was, even though she felt the unpleasant coldness, too. Lucind supposed her mental "standard filters" weakened the effect. Maybe she could later on strengthen them or find another protection by asking Hetel for advice. But maybe there was no way to block it off on this way and she had to get used to it...
"By the way, did the monks teach you to write and read or were you able to do it before coming to the monastery?"

"Natives? You mean...the Atlantians?" Little she knew about them - and which connection Enki had to them. She always thought him to be one of them. And that wouldn't explain why they should be excited to see him like this. Lucind was surprised by herself, of course, but simply supposed it was some kind of high water magic.
"Does it hurt, transforming back?"

Kraun followed the woman downstairs after taking a moment to watch the world around them wake up from slumber. Inside the woman's room, which he was allowed to stay in until the cellar was prepared, he began to unbuckle the various metal claspings which lined the heavy black robes he wore. When all of them were gone, he peeled himself out of the heavy black cloth and put it neatly in a corner.
At first, it didnt seem like he was wearing much, as he was completely topless. However, his hands and forearms were covered by long black fingerless gloves. On his forarms sprouted many spines, their tips pointed, but they lay flat against his arms so they didnt catch on anything. His lower body was garbed in a rather peculiar fashion however. Black boots which went up to his knees covered a pair of black pants, both the boots and the pants were lined with a system of belts and buckles. And overtop of all that was a long set of black robes which went down to his ankles, slit twice in the front to create movement space for his legs. In the mess of black, he could almost be mistaken for wearing a long dress.
"I can write and read." he replied as he turned to face Lucind, however, she would not be met with the piercing cursed eyes of his, but rather a neutral face lined with tranquility, his eyes closed. The monk was use to having his eyes closed, appearing as a blind man, though he could still as if his eyes weren't closed.
He reached up with his left hand to his neck and pulled off the rosary which hung around it, through the long mass of silver strands which constituted as his hair. If one were to take a close look at the relic in his hand, they would notice the twenty-seven identical perfect spheres which made it up.
Click... click... click...
He began to cycle through them slowly, and in such a way as now, appearing as he was, there was in fact no doubt that he is a monk. A divine aura almost radiating through the bone chilling aura of fear. Conflicting. Balancing.

*Leviathan looks around again, just to be sure, then decides to sit*
Yes, the decendants of the Atlantians that inhabit this city. You see, to them, I was a God, quite literally. They worshipped and reviered me and my abilities. They still believe in the ancient God that taught them speech, culture, and art. Were I to go into an openly public place while in this city, I'm not sure what would happen. Though, for all I know, no one would even recpgnize this form. I have changed a bit since back then.
*He then looks up at her again*
Yes, it pains me a great deal to transform back

Enki Leviathan I do not wish to stay like this long, for if any of the natives were to see me like this, there would be a large mob.
((Sorry Matt, I just couldnt help it. You totally asked for it.))
::Little Mar'y Li'landra was walking home from school today. She was 6 years old and today she had learned how to tie her shoe, how to color a penguin, and she had won the award for best student of the day! She a lovely blue paper crown that she could wear home today and it matched beautifully with her lovely blue dress, and her nice blue school bag which was nestled on her back. It was one of the cutest school bags you'd ever see, you see it was shaped like a creature but a plushie version of said creature, and you could unzip it and "stuff" it some more.
Now this creature some would say is unique, it had small snout with two and two long protruding fin type appendages as well as a set of gangly plushie claws, and two somewhat stubby legs which were curled up. Sound familiar?
As young Mar'y skipped along the road she held a single book out of her bag and across her chest which she squeezed like it was her most prized posession, and it was. She had just gotten it in class today but she had been waiting for it for months! It was called "Legend of Leviathan", a story book assembled from the remaining mythology about a certain aquatic god who claimed not to be a god, and yet let himself be worshipped none the less. It was her "favoritest" legend, she would read about it on the internet, go to church regulary, she knew it better than most adults!
You might wonder where I'm going with this, well young Ms. Li'landra decided today she would surprise her mother with a little trick! So on the way home seeing the Feimurgan and seeing her mother outside waiting for her to come, she decided to sneek behind the building. She was so ninja like, and yet like most children she was so very curious as to what the voices she heard were! Without making nery a sound she snuck to the location of the two talking "adults" and...
As you can imagine all vestiges of her world came spinnin and crashing to a halt as she saw "Enki" in full Leviathan form before her, any and all doubt was removed as these words exited his mouth.::
Enki Leviathan You see, to them, I was a God...
::Her arms fell limp at her said letting her book collapse to the crowd with a loud attention grabbing "SMACK". And she began to stutter.::
Le-le-l-lev....
::There was a pause as her brain worked tirelessly to process what she was saying and also what she was trying to say, and finally it suceeded with a loud shout.::
Le....LEVIATHAN!
::It was on. She had been in church more than enough times to know the signs which come about at the sight of the Leviathan. Now its true, the form of the Leviathan had likely changed over the years, but so had mythology. And a few times had this form of Enki's been spotted by locals at the famed "Leviathan Stadium". Secrets in this day and age are very hard to keep if you brandish them in public for any reason at all.
The Leviathan being sighted was something like the coming of christ. It was a tremendous omen of anything from the Apocalypse, to the rainy season, a drought, or even just six more weeks of winter. None of that mattered, her head was swooning right now. All she could do was panic, and in a big the worst way, by screaming.::
Leviathan! Leviathan! Leviathan!
::It took not even a second for her mother who heard her childs scream to mad dash from the front of the store, to the location toting curious villagers and wannabe heros.. Her reaction informed the rest of the bustly crowd that this girl might not have been shouting for nothing like little kids sometime do. But still concerned neighbors and curious onlookers ran with her mother to where the child was, and one by one as they natives came they were frozen in shock.
Now no more than 4 seconds after the little girl saw him 143 people were pressed up against the outside glass staring....The secret was out. There was no running or changing back now, everyone would see it.
Come 10 seconds from the initial scream, outside was now a bustling crowd of over 286 people...and growing fast. Just imagine you passed through the street and saw the crowd and simply asked "Whats going on?" and got "Jesus is in there!". Now double that for a busy street in the middle of NY, or LA. One minute in the road was blocked by a heard of people fighting and trying to force there way to where he was. There was shouting and crying, and people muscling past other people asking in order to ask the great Leviathan to bless their babies, or heal a family member back home.
Some people even managed to scale Feimurgan's walls and try and climb down from the roof begging and crying.::
"Save my sister! Shes dying! Shes always worshipped you, PLEASE!" "My baby! Please bless it with your touch!" "Please bring back my son!" "Lord please save my wife!" "Lord save our crops lest my family be poor forever!" "Lord please kill the robber who stole my jewels!" "Lord please bless these jewels lest the police find out I stole them!" "Lord....please....the cancer grows within me...if you heal it...I will serve you forever the entirity of my life..." "Please bestow upon me life eternal. I will serve you for all of time."
::Every in a One Dozen person peremiter seemed to have a request. Requests that there was no way Enki could fulfill. Can he cure cancer? Can he ressurect the dead? Can he grant immortality? Was he a god? Or was he just a guardian as he always said he was? Sure he could probably grant a few of them with ease, but then the question rises amongst the worshippers as to why that person was so special and not them?! Wars are raged on that sort of thing.
Not everyone begged for something though most did, a few...after shoving Lucind and all her beautifil plants aside and began simply bowing and praying, some of these few were stepped on by those who were entering to beg...and well...a few fights had broken out. Thought the few fights inside and around the Cafe were nothing compared the hundreds of fights in the mob outside. And every second the mob grew...perish the thought of what was becoming of Lucinds cafe and her garden. These people didnt care about the place that "God" was in, they cared about getting to God. It would be like a Godzilla movie where everyone runs AT Godzilla instead of away. Yet with the same amount of panic.
Impatience was growing, and people had begun banging on the glass of Lucinds shop threatening to shatter it and gush in through it. People were confused, instead of realizing that he was outside, some thought he was inside, and their frustration doubled until they barged throught the back door. Of course with all the broken bits of glass and plastic and all the praying people you'd literally have a "bloody" mess on your hands.
And a mob of this size wouldnt just fade, they wanted answers to their requests. They shoved broken limbs, sick family members and babies into the Leviathans face. There was no more running away, because there was no where to run. To run would only prove that he was unable to answer their requests and all faith in him would be lost...can you imagine what would become of this town when they hate the god they worshipped and designed it after? It'd be rubble by mid day.
Enki had always stated that he was a man, and not a god. And that these people had blown his legend out of proportion. Perhaps now was the time to set the record straight? Or was now the time to actually be a god. Eitherway it was time to choose, and time to act.::
((I'm so sorry Lucind, I promise I'll help you fix the mess!))

The moment Kraun took off his robe Lucind remembered that this was exactly what the monk used to wear back in the stadium, when they met for the first time. Yet an amused smile made her turn around to place her coat back into the wardrobe opposite of her bed.
"Good," she replied to his statement," then all those books here might be useful for you. I only ask you to take a note if you're going to bring a volume out of the library section so that I know you have it."
She walked into the tiny bath to wash hands and face. She really needed to change into fresh clothes before starting the working day. The faint clicking of Kraun's rosary could be heard throughout the otherwise quiet room. A moment later she stopped in her moves, holding a towel in both her hands after pressing her face into it.
Leaving the room and leaning against the wall opposite of a shelve the woman looked at Kraun who stood a few metres in front of her with his eyes closed. Something had changed. There was something else mingling with his aura, barely perceivable. Hesitantly, the Half-Siren shut her eyes at half-mast and concentrated on the monk's presence.
Under her breath she began singing a serene melody: it was the beginning of a luod'y aven wa, a song with wich Siren created a connection the someone else's mind or soul. But Lucind wasn't about do to such thing - in fact she didn't dare to touch his mental sphere until she hadn't found out more about the man. Right now, she just activated more of her psionic channels. The effect was that she felt Kraun's chilling aura stronger than before which made her gasp and a shiver run through her body.
Yet she tried hard to focus on this new trace: where the coldness brought fear with it, fear for other people, these other psychic waves seemed to rather come from the depth of his soul. She'd stopped to sing by then.
It was definitely more pleasant to be confrontated with those waves than with the fear producing part of his aura. Still...it somehow made her sad receiving this new, "divine" vibration.
Lucind retreated, closing all mental doors and sighed. Her hands loosened which had clutched the towell.

"As you wish." the monk replied softly with a slight inclination of his head. He never moved as she looked him over, probing at the air around him with her mind. In such a state as now, the aura of fear was slightly neutralised, which allowed him to interact with the world around him a little more than normal, though with his ice carved features and closed eyes, he was obviously still seen as 'unnatural'. He simply stood still, calm as always with the rosary cycling through his fingers, as if waiting for her to say something. To let his guide of the world lead him.

She stared at the rosary in his hands, at the spheres slipping through his fingers. "What...do you feel when you're...doing this?"
After hearing his answer she collected some fresh clothes and vanished in the bathroom for a second time. She quickly got changed and added some eye make-up which happened kind of automatically for her thoughts definitely travelled elsewhere.
"You know what?" Standing in front of him again, the strain vanished from her face, Lucind looked at him. "I think it would be better to find you something else to dress. Something more comfortable. Of course, you always wear this but it's more appropiate for travelling or fighting... Therefore, I'd like to show you other garments. If you don't mind, that is."
In case Kraun didn't object, Lucind would leave the book-cafe with him and walk to one of Latent's biggest fashion stores which seemingly sold all kinds and styles of clothes. At this early hour they were pretty much the only customers. A neatly dressed woman with wavy brown hair came out of a backroom to greet them. Her "Good morning" trailed off into mumbling though when seeing the Half-Siren and the monk. Her smile but grew all the broader, hiding her unsureness.
