Ray was having an internal conflict...out of everyone he was the only one that wasn't required to stay behind that was still here, sitting on his butt at base waiting for a gun to hide behind. Was he really that sad? did he need a gun to help?
"That's it! no more sitting...Sorry everyone, but I can't just let them run into danger short one pair of hands. I assume this tracks wherever it goes, so my gun will find me in time. Wish me luck Joseph." Ray called back as he dashed out the door, full run off towards the rest of the group. He had already fallen behind, and if anyone got hurt because someone wasn't there to help well..Ray would never live it down. With beacon in hand Raymond sprinted off towards the Palace lobby.

"Got one right here. Bryant's got one too" Akechi patted his belt in response to Brown's question.
"How's everybody holding out in general?

"Good luck to y'all." He waved the rest of them out the door, "We'll looks like I'm playing operator for now... Well. Not going to do this alone." He once again went to the wrist. Time for a big robot with some smashing potential. He was pretty much alone here now save for the KO'd guy, Bryant, Medibot, the bomb droid, and his bunker. "There we go." Quote: LIFTER 3el - The LIFTER is essentially a bipedal forklift taken from a much more complex design. While slow moving, the LIFTER is equip with two powerful arms that end in sure-grip two pronged claws. From this the large robot can lift and carry quite a load at chest level, and of course can push a deal more and overhead carry a bit less. The robot has a squat appearance, measuring at 6 feet with no head, and chunky limbs meant to counterbalance whatever it is lifting. The robot can be commanded to make slow, awkward, but ultimately crushing melee strikes. $110,000 | Large | No requirement | 2hrWrecking Ball: At cost, the LIFTER can have one arm replaced with a wrecking ball on a retractable chain. The robot has full control over the winch contained within the arm. It should be noted said winch only contains 35 feet of chain. +$30, 000 | Large | LIFTER 3el Ordered | +1hrTotal time: 3 hours... Roughly the same time the fortify command finishes Net loss: $140, 000Remaining Bank: $1, 240, 000

Akechi watched Psyco run off with a bemused expression on his face.
"I... was about to offer him my gun" he said slowly.
"Right". He turned to Brown.
"I'm going after the rest of the team. Watch base and keep us updated if you can". He didn't know anybody in the team for long, but he had the feeling that if there was anybody on the expedition he could trust with sound judgement, it was Joseph Brown.
And he left, MP5 in hand.

"They'll be back." Joseph muttered to himself before getting a message from Kael.
"s**t feeling confirmed kid, from my vantage point it looks like the unity fields went down. The rest of the team ran off to investigate, I'm holding down fort awesome. S'almost done and I ordered up calvary."
A pause.
"I'm not gonna be leaving the city anytime soon. Would be bad business to leave y'all here without someone with their head on their shoulders."
"Anything else?"
He hung up and made a yet another call, this time to his people back home.
"Keep in constant access with the comms tower, the mecha girl can pick up quite a few transmissions. I'll allow her access to you guys." Another pause, "Claire, since you're listing, I have a feeling that s**t's about to go from bad to worse."

Throughout the city, the people of Frostschild were coming home. Men, women, and children, knocked out of reality by a magical punch no one saw coming, were being nudged back into existence by the very same force. Eating, sleeping, shopping, working, they had been going about their lives, and to them no time had passed at all. Still, something was not right.
They were changed.
Metal. Jagged. Screaming and shrieking with inhuman voices, they returned skeletons of their former selves, grim visages of decayed bodies animated through the fusion of magic and robotics. They would go about their daily lives, clumsy brutal mockeries of what they once were, but lacking in human comprehension or understanding.
That is, until they saw someone alive, someone unchanged, someone who was still human. They turned on these people, watched them. Approached slowly, cautiously, sizing up the strange being. They would clang their metal teeth together threateningly, stretch out their claw-like fingers, and then...
...they would attack.

"Mother..." Joseph hit a button on his Nav-wrist as he saw the robots, "...******** would then hit an APB for all Bryant members with communicators.
"Guess, what everyone, the three days are over. I repeat, NOTHING is alright. It may as well be next week with the amount we're passed the three days. We seem to have reports of robot things on the base location and the palace location, god knows if we're missing anything else. Comm tower is saying I've lost contact with Eileen and Akechi. I don't know about Eileen, but Akechi set off towards the palace guys, so if he's not there I don't know. Sam, Kael, I need to know if you two are alright and got out fine..."
"As for me, I'm not sure how long I can hold out on my own."
Two zombies robot had emerged from the fortress house... only to be promptly crushed by Joseph's ordered package, a very large crate. That cued the construction being completed and his robot arriving.
He began to mash different buttons on the wrist pretty fast.

Xehart, who had been following the group in stealth mode, took a moment to consider his situation. So far, this group had done little to nothing to discover why the people had all disappeared, a fact which disappointed him greatly, as it had been all he could muster to refrain from killing these people until then. Added to that, the large amounts of zombie hordes returning, and Xehart was beginning to feel a little bothered. Xehart looked towards Joseph, and then began to speak.
“It looks as though things might become a little HAWT in here. Now might be a good time to get going, hmm?”
As Xehart said this, he began to click his right hand in time to some invisible beat. Apart from telling Joseph about the danger they might be in, he seemed quite content with the situation. If you looked hard enough, you might even see a little smile on his face.

"Leave?" Joseph seemed strangely calm about all this as well, "I didn't turn this mansion to a fortress to pack up and leave. As borrowed as it may be, I think it's about time we tell these things to git offa our property."
The last bit of typing on the wrist and the sound of something activating came from inside of the crate.
"Besides. We have this."
And with that a yellow armour plated arm burst from the crate, and soon enough the LIFTER was making its way out. Six foot and bulky, the machine looked like it could hold up as their tank so to speak. And the wrecking ball it was carrying around looked like it could do some damage too.
Joseph himself had his M79, though the majority of his ammo wasn't going to help in this situation. Not that Xehart would know that.

Bryant on the other hand was barely containing his rage. If the Unity Field was down... ...he could only imagine what had happened to--- He shut that thought off and looked at those he had surrounded himself with. Good people mostly. With the best of intentions. Or so he chose to believe. But someone else had come here without such noble intentions. ...and they would pay. Silently, Bryant stood up, and gave the briefest nod to Joseph before he headed to the door. He had a mission to accomplish. 'Forgive me, Sam'. before he turned the door and headed out.

Xehart smiled at Joseph as he said this. He was about to reply when he noticed Bryant moving. Perfect. Following Bryant would be an excellent move. From what it seemed, Bryant cared about where the people had gone, and so reversing the situation would be hopefully what he was hoping to achieve.
All Xehart wanted was to find the cause of the problem, and use it. All he needed to do was keep up this pretense a little longer, and then he would be free to escape with the secret, and kill those around him. He looked back at Joseph, and with a small bow and a nod,
"I hope you'll excuse me, but I'm going to follow the big man, sticking around here just makes me feel like a sitting duck."
With that, Xehart went to the door, and followed Bryant outside.

(Leap off the Palace dome-> Ascended way)
Aiolos glided down in front of the mansion-turned-base and nearly stumbled when he saw the LIFTER robot walk out of the place. The musician let out a yell, but when he saw that the robot could give less about him, he let his yell die into a sigh of relief. He already had enough robot attacks for one day, thank you.
He walked up to Joseph, "Those answers are gonna have to wait, huh?"
