"Ok, this is getting downright retarded." Joseph commented as things exploded in the distance, "We are officaly not getting anything done by being mired in this district. Especially when Frostschild just became the explosion capital of the world."
"One robot does not a city disappeared make." He then once again went to his wrist, "Need some info here Allen. You a'right?"

"-s**t. s**t."
What the hell is going on? Things are still blowing up.
He set a hand to the ground and pushed himself up onto one knee first, and then got his other foot on the ground. Slowly breathing, slowly rising, he tried to refocus his mind.
Ducking and covering. She's not the type who can run into that.
He bit into his lip bracing himself and limped about as quickly as one can limp the short span back over to the woman and put a hand on each of her shoulders, bent partway over her. He may have been injured, but some combination of chivalry, her panicked reaction, and the fact that his body seemed larger and more durable had him standing over and close enough to wrapped around her just enough to give a sense of being a human wall between her and the exploding things.
"Alright," he looked up at Joseph, and spared a glance to whoever else was in the air.
"Unless any of you can weather direct explosions and cover the rest of us too, let's scram. Get away from whatever the hell is blowing up and call them up once we're out of here.
"I'm not being any use to anyone sitting here waiting to get blown to bits at least."

Allen heard Joe over the phone, and in response to both Jackknife and Joseph, he said this.
"I've got some shrapnel in my wings, and I've got someone else here with shrapnel in his back. I also have Athan, who seems to be alright but is knocked out, if you think we should take him with us. but after the explosions, I'm thinking you should work on getting us out of here. I want time to rest before more stuff blows up."
And in that vein he would walk back over and start dragging Athan along with him back towards the group, hoping Jackknife would follow, and that someone would be showing up to help with the injuries, or at least to help carry the heavy guy Allen was struggling some with.

"Seconded."
Lah was about ready to get out of dodge. Fighting with other people in any case was alright, he could do something. Fighting big robots that shot rockets? Not so much.
As soon as the caravan of 'get the hell away' got started, Lah'd follow them.

She liked that, and gave him a grin as things finally stopped exploding and she could get a handle on things again. "I think run and cover is good. But where's Bryant?" Not like they couldn't handle the money side of things between Joseph and herself, but Bryant was a friend. You didn't leave your friends behind. Bryant was done a street or two and looking at Akechi. "Boy, don't worry so much. Life's a game of random chances encounters. You die when you let yourself die."

"What the rath do they got up there, a Throne-damned tank!?" Ebris roared, barely heard over the noise of the missiles impacting and exploding violently above. Dust and bits of asphalt and concrete filtered down noisily from the arched sewer ceiling above, which caused Ebris to hack a slight tad when he inhaled some of it. He cursed those damned lungs and the damned fumes in the damned mine he was forced to work a quarter of his life in.
After the big booms stopped, Ebris kinda got a similar mindset going with Spooky; pocketing the lighter, he began to storm his way to the ladder, past Shouyin, and began to make his way up the ladder. He was pretty pissed now.
"Ain't no one's gonna get away with lobbin' all that grod around with us nearby-" the bounty scum growled, yanking himself up the ladder one-handed with his right Carnosaur in hand.
With all this commotion, there was a good chance that some of their objectives were nearby. Ebris would make sure to thank the dead bodies for making it that damn rathin' easy.

"We really need to regroup. Theres too much going on here for us to stay out in the open. Gather up everyone and lets head somewhere a bit more secluded where we can treat the wounded. After we do that, I'll try to get in contact with the missing members of the expedition, maybe we can get some clue as to their whereabouts as well."
This was getting downright crazy. That Robot had been tough, and now they had met up with two new people, who had promptly disappeared. There was something big going down, that had always been obvious. Cater City references filled Mozz's brain. This wasn't good.

THUMP. THUMP. THUMP.
The dust of the explosions settles, the good thing about RPGs is even though there were five of them it didn't last too long.
THUMP. THUMP. TEAR.
And the hatch blows open. One figure, first... Then a second.... Then a third. Each one had the skeletal appearance reseambalance of a decayed human corpse. Though it quickly became apparent that they were not zombies, but rather they were made of a metallic material. Looked simple and rough, likey iron or something simple like that.
And they climbed out of the hatch.

The roar of flames rushed all around, shrapnel pinging nosily off the quickly-erected half dome shield, rushes of wind rustling their clothes and hair. HoshiTe's hair licked at her back for a moment before they flicked off as a safety measure. The half machine half girl grit her teeth as she held the shield in place, her legs braced against the ground even as the force of the blast pushed the shield and its inhabitants slowly back. The shield was thinning too...the edges unravelling, turning to motes of energy as they disconnected from the main mass. In five seconds, the blast was over, and there was no more shield.
...but there were three survivors. HoshiTe got to her feet, and scanned the surrounding area with her sensors. "It is safe to maneuver now. It seems base camp has moved to safety. I will contact them and ascertain their position. We should join up with the others further up the street and make our own way to their location."
And with that, she tilted her head, mentally inputting the frequency for Sam's walkie talkie network. "This is HoshiTe. Three days from now, we will be heading to your location. Please designate rendezvous point. Over." She glanced to the two guys with her, and started to make her way quickly up the street where Allen and Athan were last seen.

Explosions. Lots of them.
Colin had heard the ******** happening from way back, and the louder it got the less he needed to be quiet. Practically sprinting, he'd finally reach the district when, OHSHIT!
Three trails of smoke lifting into the air.
He didn't know how big or bad these rockets were, but hiding would be the best bet. Ducking into the nearest warehouse, he'd find a metal crate, the clasps on its lid open. Flipping the iron thing open, Colin would leap over the edge, gun in hand, and slam the lid behind him.
In pitch darkness he'd wait.
One boom. Two boom. Three boom. the ground vibrated beneath him, causing the crate and everything in it to shake. While inside of this MacGuyver dryer, Colin would bump against something small, something cylinder, something with a ring on it.
Gripping it, he'd wait for the shaking to stop before flipping open the lid.
All was quiet on the Norther front. that was, until the palace dome went to s**t. He didn't see the fireworks, but it wasn't that hard to miss hearing.
Looking in the direction of that fourth burst, Colin would tense. He'd never been in a situation with this much fire.
Well, he'd lost his virginity to ******** now.
Climbing out of the tin, he'd look down at the cylinder in his hand.
A stun grenade. How'd he know? On the side it said [STUN GRENADE]
It was just begging to be thrown.
Stuffing the thing into a side pocket of his pack, Colin would leave the warehouse, switching his gun fro single fire to three-round bursts. Holding it at the ready, he'd head off towards the direction of smoke and rubbledust.
Hopefully the rest of his group was already there.

At some point during his wild robot ride, Athan had been bucked wildly by the robot and apparently came down face-first upon the hull of the thing. Normally this wouldn't be a problem, but it must have hit in the exact spot to cause some sort of temporary unconsciousness. Athan woke up a few moments later, being dragged by some sort of unknown hand. He was confused, disoriented, but he was still holding onto his sword.
He had reflexes to blame for that.
"Nngh!"
Athan twisted away from Allen's helping hand and pulled himself up to a standing position, half-ready to skewer the guy before he recognized him.
"What th- Allen? What's going on?"
He turned around at the sound of an explosion and bore witness to the trio of mini robots climbing out of the walker.
"Nevermind."
He turned completely around, leaving his sword in his left hand, tip down, arm behind him.
"We'll talk about it later."

The second explosion had been a mild surprise but left her more in annoying wonderance what the hell was going on above their heads presently. Ryke grimaced as debris fell and kicked up dust and the like, swatting and waving her hand to clear the air around her eyes and nose.
Once the commotion finally died down, she was somewhat relieved, though still ticked. The sign it was clear came from her cohorts, seeing Ebris rise and shove past Shouyin to clamber up the sewer ladder she followed suit. She climbed to her feet, slinging the specter by it's shoulder strap to rest across her chest and sprinted for the ladder behind Shouyin now, not bothering to ask questions about their next move. She didn't need to. Watching the bounty brute tote his pistols around was enough to let her know someone was going to get a bullet in their skull very soon.

Shouyin made his way up the ladder after Ryke, covering the sewer after he exited. He gripped the Tearbringer in his right hand as he scoped the surroundings. The rest of his team had the opening covered so he went about taking the point. Dust had seemed to settle inside the building - which they had exited out just in front of - but that didn't make searching about the mess any easier. Except you didn't really have to search, because there was a robot right in the middle there, and three other robots were coming out of it.
"Y'guys 'magine that's the target?"

"Athan, forget fighting, we need to get out and regroup. I know you like charging in head first, but the explosion will be grabbing the wrong kind of attention if people are around like you and we were. Like the kind of attention a bullet gives you. We can come back to check it out again after we regroup."
Hopefully Athan would take the hint and start moving, rather than face the robotic figures. They could always hunt those down later if they needed to, but for now, Allen wanted medical attention if possible. He'd be starting to move again, hoping Athan would follow.
