There was something very wrong for a youth to be so concerned for him. Big cat-bond or not, he wasn't as fragile as... well, it brought back memories of his own childhood: a healer hovering nearby. He wasn't used to youths worrying over his health. His plans, yes.
Her forehead had felt cool (that was a bad sign, right?) against his.
And to be honest his memories were a little disjointed. He had vague realizations that he was forgetting something, but it slide away like water in the hand. And that made him finally admit that he was sick. Again.
The nap hadn't refreshened him at all, but there was more to do. It ached to stand up. Still, all he needed was in the 'home' he was making a short distance away beneath the water.
ooc: 'and a dressier to eat'/ desire-right, dressier-wrong dice roll for home: 1= shelf-hovel, 20=underwater cave type

When Dancer returned it was still dark out but light wouldn't be far away. She slipped silently from Fire Brights back and went to the shelter Crosscurrent had made. She set down a bigger basket and set her things next to it. Making her way to the water she plaied with her bond and swam about a little to see if Crosscurrnet might hear they were back before she sent to him.

It hadn't been hard to spot Dancer's return. He -had- been waiting for her after all. She apparently hadn't noticed him, half burried in the looser sand a few feet beneath the waves. Her cat's playful antics made him watch with interest both to keep from being hurt accidently and enjoying just watching.
So much like the youths (and he and his brother if he'd admit it). Rather then disrupt them he waited contendly until they started lagging in their play. Then he twisted so the sand slide off to comfortable stand. His tail shifting to legs as he waded to the shore a short distance away. He felt a little better since he'd found a nicer 'home' that would take less work.
ooc: rolls are 1= poor, 20=perfect! First roll-spotting Dancer; second roll-health; third roll-working/finding a home.

When she spotted Crosscurrent she smiled and waved a hand. "There you are. I hope you weren't sleeping aand we woke you. By the way how do you feel?" She mobed over to him and gave his face a long hard look. It wasn't easy to tell if he was still sick or not. He was cool from the water so she had to see if his face looked flush or if he seemed tired or anything. "Did you make a comb for your talgled mess of a head?" She teased him playfuly.

He gave a dismissive wave of the hands to allay her concern. It was touching to be worried for, but she had many other things to worry about them him.
As for the comb.. he held up the one Elitln had carved (he had had the most clever hands) toward her with a grin. Of simple design, but study enough for his no-doubt tangled hair. Or Dancer's.
"Got it right here, and no, I didn't make it. Knots and rope I've mastered. Not so much with wood or bones." That was Adir's gift. "So where do you want me?"
Crosscurrent was taller, so getting her help would require him to either sit or lay down. A wonderful pose to relax to.

"It's nice." She smiled taking it from him gently. Stretching a bit she looked around. "Over here I guess would be best." She pointed to a rock she could sit on while he sat in the sand. "I'm not a carver either. Heck I'm only an avrage hunter at best and even in my youth I always seemed to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. That is unless I was in the jungle. I always seemed more at home with the creatures of my homeland then in my own home." She chuckled tht brid song sound and sat herself on the rock while he got into place.

"Obviously your've as old as the tide," he teased as he went where indicated. Eyes already half-mast in anticipation. Not unlike one of the bond-beasts.

It seemed the rest had done the Wavedancer good. His fever was done, although he did doze off as the catrider brushed his hair. The light was gone. And when Dancer had thought to move (to sleep or get something) the sleeping Crosscurrent had mumbled a protest even as he propped himself up long enough to snag her like a charished child toy. Or a playful mate.
Turned out he was a sound sleeper. He wouldn't release her without a lot of 'violence'. Dancer didn't do it.
Early morning they parted: her to head back to the others, he to his waters. He returned the favor before then by combing her black hair. He'd mentioned he would be busy that day.
Time has since passed.
Crosscurrent had been busy with his new 'home', hunting, and crafting more ropes and baskets. At night if he wasn't sleeping he went a distance from the land to open-Send for his tribemates.

What quiet moment is there below the waves? Certainly, it is far more tranquil than the skies above. Falling toward the waves, at break neck speed, is Dancer followed closely by Savith. His eyes are narrowed, arms tucked to his sides, and his face set into an expression of grim determination.

The wind was so fast. She was so fast. The water moving closer at a speed she never knew. Thrilling to say the least. She could feel her face being pulled back as her long hair flew wildly behind her. "AAAAAHHHHHHEEEEEEE AAAAAHHHHHHHHHH" They might sound like shreeks of fear but were just the only sound she could get to come out. She was loving every thrilling seckond.

Crosscurrent continued to brush the debrie from the few shelled 'game' he'd managed to find: although more then a few had escaped further down. His weapon slung on his back as he lazily swum back towards his current home. The small net-pouch slung to across his front held the rest of his finds. To be honest he couldn't wait to get back where the stone edged knife was. He would pry open the shell without smashing it to uselessness. Then swallow the meaty mouthful within as he hadn't in awhile.
A turtle was following him. And truth be told the Wavedancer enjoyed the company. Now that he wasn't so fucused on survival a certain amount of loneliness had settled close. It would be good to see Dancer again. Even if he had to scout about the Land to track her down.

Falling falling falling. Dancer's heart was in her throat and for a moment her mind thought of someone. Reaching out she sent to only him in hopes he was nearby and would see all the fun she was having. *Crosscurrent! Come to the surface if you are near.* Her mind laughed and yelled as well as her mouth. Screaming with joy like a kid on a wild ride.

Oh he wanted to join her, but there was a certain bittersweatness to moving in such a way the turtle was sure to leave him for. Still, a small salute to the shell-backed creature as he went upwards. Crosscurrent could enjoy the air and daystar's light as he made his way toward shore.
**Coming** he lock-Sent as he tucked the clam into the net-pouch with it's friends. That done he continued upwards with his arms at a wide angle from his sides to spiral a little.
What had her so excited he didn't know. Perhaps the clouds were more beautiful today?
ooc: dice roll on if he notices. 1= clueless, 20=perfect detail
The shadow Above moved as if growing in size. Curious, and a little alarmed, he forgo his casual speed to shot to the surface. Skilled eyes took in the distortion of the shape.. no shapes? .. with horror.
It was a way Gliders might dive to help their giant birds flush them out. And the coloring (for the water shifted smaller details) matched Dancer. She'd sent..?..
**Idiot!!** he open-Sent with an angry concern. Speed at that height, or many heights much less the reckless Glider's preferred, could break an elf's neck! Nor did she know if there were submerged rocks below! Desperately he dashed up to attempt a leap that might cushion her dive.

*HERE HERE LOOK UP* "AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" Closer and closer. She knew Savith would stop them soon but for the moment she is beyond joy.
