Karite seemed surprise he did not know the Kages name he had been here three days and had never meet the man. What really bugged him is that his parents had talked about the attack of the clowns proudly. It was as if the name of the man they spoke was burned in his memory yet for some reason he could not recall it. This history lesson was to much like school in the wave country. He wished he had ignored the whistle now. Karite balled himself up tighter fighting the cold the best he could while wondering what Kore was doing with that bird. Knowing the cub he was probably eating it.

This new foe Kore had come to face was fast and that was the perfect enemy. Speed for speed, now all Kore had to do was tire it out enough to strike. it would get the message not to mess with the King. As the bird swooped in Kore bared his teeth happily. This little bird had no clue what he was going up against. Waiting for the right moment. Kore jumped up only to get closed line with a wing. rolling back the cub got back onto his black feet. This bird was much faster then he had first thought, and much stronger as well. This little game of cat and mouse just got a whole lot more interesting in a matter of seconds.

Kore dug in his claws as he was thrown for a loop on that last swoop. Blinking his eyes multiple times as the young cub refocused his eyes but the bird was already coming back in for another attack. Not even moving this time the cub had no choice but to take a full on attack. Digging in deeper, Kore hoped his footing would withstand the blast that was coming his way. As the bird fell upon him he was almost scared for a split second before he remembered who he was. Tategami's never back down and never surrendered. As the bird came down upon the small cub he came up a little but nothing like last time.

This time Kore had the bird in his sights and it was time for a little dose of revenge. As Kore watched he bared his tooth at the hovering evil above him. If he timed it right he could dodge and take a bite out of that things backside. Waiting Kore saw the bird make his descent in the missile like pattern from before. As it came in for the attack its wings open wide. NOW! Kore though in his mind. Jumping to the side with a slight rotation Kore landed a perfect bit out of the tail feathers of the bug infested beast. Landing in the perfect position to quickly lock eyes again Kore spat out the feathers with a cat like smile.

"Very good Sorri. Now, who wants to tell me the names of the Tategami clan lions? I hear there are four of them now..." Udo gave a small smile - the mature lion that was partnered with the Tategami girl was one, and two cubs. He wondered if anyone knew the name of the last male lion that occasionally spent time at the grounds, the rest of his time elsewhere on the whole island, beyond the village. Shuga had once come into the bar, and once drunk, had enlightened both he and Prodo to the seldom seen beast.

Karite thought he would know this but he didn't even know there were four lions. You think he would have seen it. As big as these lions get it was a surprise not to know it was there. "I am afraid I only know of Kore, Ruha and Baki. I didn't even know there were four of these massive beast around this island. He must sleep all day like Ruha because I have never seen him." Karite thought he had only been here for three days so it was no wonder he hadn't seen it yet. This was really starting to remind him of the wave country. History of a land he didn't even know anything about.

Karite couldn't recall any memory that mentioned a fourth lion. Considering how much time he had spent with Maya and Baki the answer should have slapped him by now, but nothing was coming to mind no matter how hard he looked. His mind was reading a blank at every turn. if he kept searching for what was not there he would tire his brain out. Deciding to let the question go for now maybe someone else would know the answer or something close to it to jog his memory.

Four?...Okay so theres Baki the two new little cubs, Karite had the boy right...so what with this extra? Shuga didn't have one, if she did it would have always been around, and when ever I could spot the steeled personality teacher she was alone. He sighed and softly shook his head, had hadn't any idea for this question. "...yo yo" Maybe Karite has an idea since he was acttuallt part of their clan, he would let the kid take this one, and wait for the next. Anyway he looked over at his cousin , he eye just under the hood wondering why she was so silent.

Karite racked his brain for what seemed like hours which turned out to be minutes. Then from the depths of his mind came the answer like the sun out of a stormy day. "Jhuga!" Karite remembered over hearing that name before. He could not pinpoint where he heard it but it was the answer he just knew it was. "I do believe that was the answer your were looking fa fa for sir." Karite said with a little studder from the cold winds chilling his bones as he sat here. Wrapping the scarf tighter he tightened his cocoon like body to see if he could pull any more warmth.

Kore looked as the bird descending upon him again. This time his timing seemed to be off somehow. It was, the bird had picked up aggression and had stopped slightly before Kore's jump. As the bird dove in he tossed Kore out the air like a bad rag. As Kore bounced along the ground the poor cub tried to move but was finding it difficult to breath for the moment. Shaking it off he rolled back onto his paws and growled as he searched for the bird. Quickly adjusting his sensitive cat irises he adjusted the light and shadow factor of the forest and found the bird. It was time to get serious.

Kore was going to have some fun with this. As the bird raised higher into the air Kore's eyes continue to quickly adjust. He waited for the figure to descend as a missile upon him. Slowly backing up towards a tree he would wait for the perfect time just as any. The bird seemed to be blinded by its own anger. Coming down faster the bird began to open its wings. Kore would cut this one closer then usual to make sure the bird felt the full extent of the blow. As it came in its feathers ruffling Kore jumped just in time for the bird to smack right into the bamboo. If lions could laugh Kore would have been right then. Karite would have loved that.

People Watching Shinobi are natural born stalkers! You can learn a lot about people from watching how they interact with others. This is a vital skill that all ninja needs to learn. Plop your booty down in the crowded village and take note of everything that goes on around you. 1d20 + (3) DC: 13 Train: 1/10
Its not like like I bite or anything...I don't like her that much ..then again haven't said a word either...maybe she waiting for me
His head turned back down at the ground. he kicked at it a little, not letting it bother him, or at least he was acting that way. He reached down at his kunia and remembered where his kunia was, He looked over at the exit...still no Xyn. Was he training that hard? He would be when Sorri was slipping. He would have to rush to get better to graduate at this point. That was the new truth yeah? He pushed away from the branch and started to walk his way to the exi, hoping they would leave soon

Udo smiled and nodded. "That's right, the ever loner Jhuga. I haven't actually seen him myself, but Shuga says the old boy almost seems scrawny at times." With a shake of his head and a chuckle, Udo rubbed his stomach then his arms. It was starting to bite out here... "I think it would be wise to move our lesson elsewhere...say, my shop. Depending on how you guys progress, I might be willing to give you free lunch..." Udo smiled and motioned for the group to follow, heading towards the village center and his shop.

Shisei stood and allowed his peers to take the lead. He did not bother to try and answer any of the questions since his mind did not hold the answer. If the knowledge was never there, how could he get it right? The probability of guessing it correctly was around 1%. Instead his ears listened intently on the knowledge being passed around. The short boy with white hair and Orika were guessing most of the questions. By that alone Shisei had deduced that their stay on the island had been for an extended duration. Even Karite possessed some knowledge about the lions of Shima. Sometime after the cannon dodging and today, the lion lover must have picked up the little cub. The only one who also didn’t have much knowledge would have been the girl in white. Since she did not answer anything, her form was probably as green to island as the snake youth. Either that or she didn’t feel like answering. Without a hint of his existence to the others Shisei followed Udo out of the forest and back to his shop.

Tanned fingers shot into the air as soon as the Udo mentioned the clown attack. That event easily changed her life; How could Orika ever forget that which caused her inward spiral into an unreasonable hatred of all shinobi? A frown decked itself on her face when Sorri got the answer first, but that was incomparable to how that grimace quickly turned foul when Udo dismissed her father like his own sacrifice was nothing! The girl let out a bestial growl, perhaps too quiet to scare anyone save herself. Sure Katafuto-san's sacrifice let Natamo-san live on to do more glorious work for the village, but were these shinobi so arrogant that they didn't acknowledge the work of anybody else? Who judged how much a person's work amounted to? Was a person who labored night and day for years for others, one who willingly chose the supportive role any less than a ninja who beats up bad guys in the field for money yet returns home and only trains himself? Orika suddenly realized that although she had entered the academy, there were parts of her that still struggled with aspects of ninjutsu. She couldn't enter into the occupation blind as a bat like her friends who had known no other life. Words struggled to come out of her mouth and berate Udo for all he was worth, but they refused to form, like jelly too heated to work with. Unusually silent, the girl followed the class to their hopefully free lunch. A small smirk appeared on Orika's smile when she realized just how incompetent Udo really was. He was so new that he thought asking the Kage's name would be difficult for the kids and so stupid that he thought food wasn't free on Shimagakure. Well actually, udon wasn't free, but that wasn't the point! Orika wore a pout on her face, confused at the swirling, disorganized thoughts that now didn't make much sense. What had she been angry about again?
