Sorrow walked ahead of the others, keeping to herself, lost in thought. She didn’t exactly know the way there but she found the old harbor town quite easily. She had wondered what Lin had done in the time she left the others, but thought it was best not to poke her head in business that wasn’t hers.

The group approached the bar. Sorrow looked up from the ground to see Flint, sitting at the bar carving something. She approached the entrance to the bar, unsure if she felt comfortable being there. She pushed the door open slightly, taking a deep breath, and entered the bar slowly. She slowly walked over to Flint, having not known the other people at the bar, who were all looking at her. She must of stood out quite well, a tall attractive short haired girl, with blood stains everywhere on her clothes and hands. She looked over to him, busy at his craft, and placed her hand on his shoulder.

“Um… hey.”

She was unsure how to react having been injured quite bad. And it seemed he had run off ahead to get help. She didn’t know what else to say. She was getting a bit weary of the men looking at her. She never felt comfortable around crowds. She looked over to the bartender and then back down at her hands that she had placed on the counter after sitting down.

I really don’t like it here. This is kinda creeping me out. I hope we can rest soon. I don’t know how much longer I can stay awake. But my clothes are ruined. And I don’t exactly have any cloth to fix them.

Flint looked up, momentarily surprised, the grinned.
"Well, welcome back to the land of the living" he said casually, putting down the staff and knife. It had intricate carvings along it, and two bands cut out about 2 inches from the top. If anyone had bothered examining the carvings, they would have found the letters to be Gnomish, with a few legends on it.
"Sit down, you look pretty tired" he added, getting up and moving to the next stool over, then indicating his own seat.

Luniya was hesistant to follow the others because Liknew stayed behind. But she knew Lin coulda handle herself. She was extremely strong. She looked at Sorrow, who began to walk first. Luniya watched her closely to see if she was okay. She is really quiet. I hope the guys aat the bar don't frighten or anything like that.

Luniya walked in the bar following Sorrow. Flint greeted them happily. It seemed he forgot about getting help. She sat down in a stool at the end of the bar. Her wound was still open, and bleeding she ignored the slight pain and sight of her blood. She just covered he wound with her elbow and tried to relax. She wondered what Lin was doing, but figure it was something personal, so maybe she had to stay behind.

"Oooh damn, you guys look worse for wear" Flint commented, seeing a man get up from a table nearby and walk over.
"These your companions?" he asked, and Flint nodded.
"If you need any healing, I can do some with magic here, or I have a kit in my room" the man informed them, sitting on a stool nearby.

Rok made his way through Rarthor Hall from his chambers. Reaching the main hall, he found a younger minotaur servant holding an eagle and a letter.

"Lord Rok'ryrukar Mantoph, this eagle arrived recently with a letter. It was addressed to you," he said, holding out the piece of parchment. Rok took it and read it. Smiling, he dismissed the minotaur.

"Well, Lady Liniathe Lavich of Windshire Manor, I guess fate will bring us together again," he murmured, heading back to his chambers. When he left, he was wearing light travelling clothes. After explaining to his parents that he was going to meet with someone, he made his way to the gates of Mahn Tor.

~~~
"Thank you, Mantie," he said to the sparrow as it led him in the direction of the human capital. Hopefully, he would be received well, as he knew that most humans hated the sight of the large minotaurs.
Sorrow was more worried about the state of her clothes the well being of herself. She was in bad shape, even though she could not die, she could still feel the pain her wings had felt being ripped from her back as well as woozy from all the loss of blood. She sat there thinking to herself after sitting down nearby Flint.
“Thanks I guess.”
She said becoming quite pale even for herself. “Can we get to somewhere to rest? I’m not feeling too good.”
She spoke softly and tried to keep from over exerting herself. She placed her hands down firmly on the bar counter trying to hold herself up. She kept holding onto the table because she felt like she was spinning at this point. Even though her wounds were gone she felt the grim after effects of coming from so close to death, or in her case as close to death as she could get.
Lin heard the call of the eagle she had sent and stood still. It landed on her arm and nipped at the lose strands of hair that had fallen over her face.
"Hey there. You got back fast."
Lin was now speaking the way all animals spoke. This was how she communicated with the animals she had.
"Did you get the letter to him safely?"
"Yes I did, he seemed happy, I have your case and string still."
"Ah yes, thank you again my friend"
Lin untied the string and case from the eagles leg, and put it back in her leather pouch.
"Are you hungry, perhaps you would like to rest in the inn I am staying at."
"I am very hungry, and that would be nice thank you. I am tired from flying through that storm. It is getting worse as we speak."
"Yes I know, Let us hurry then. You may join my other companions, there is food, water, and a nice warm globe light in the room for you all."
"Ah, that sounds lovely."
Lin smiled, she then continued down the road stopping constantly to take a breather. Her strength had not yet returned, and it seemed she had quite a few more wounds from falling out of the tree she was sitting in.
"Are you okay Liniathe?"
"Yes, I am fine Valicor, I am just a little tired."
"You look dreadful on top of that."
"Well thanks for that lovely comment."
The eagle nipped at Lin's hair again, and she chuckled. After quite some time, Lin finally arrived at the inn and walked through the door. She was wet, muddy, and blood stained her clothing. Quite a few people in the inn looked at her, she chose to ignore them, before quickly walking in, and closing the door behind her. Looking around silently, she eventually spotted Flint, Sorrow, and Luniya. She spoke normally towards them.
"Well, I am back, this is my friend Valicor. I am taking him to the shed, I will come back soon."
She smiled and walked over to where the shed was located. Walking inside, she was greeted warmly by he other companions.
"Welcome back Lin" Mist said as he ran up to her and nudged her gently.
"You look terrible" Larith pointed out.
"Who's the bird, can I eat it?" Moondust asked licking his chops.
"You try and eat me, and I will tear your eyeballs out tiger" Valicor said threatingly.
"Now now, all of you calm down. I will be fine, I just need some rest. And Moondust, even if the eagle didn't rip your eyes out, I would put you in some frozen water until you apologise for that comment."
"Fine, I am sorry, I won't eat the eagle. Don't get so scary so fast."
Lin grinned.
"That is better. Now all of you get some rest. After we see the king of the human capital, our real journey will begin. For now, we all need to get as much rest as we are able to. I am hoping to see the human king in two days max. Or when I am in a better condition. Now Valicor, there is a nice high perch up there. You can rest there. Here is some food as well."
She clicked her fingers, food and water appeared at the high perch and the eagle flew straight over to it.
"Now, goodnight to you all."
Lin waved and then left, people looked at her more strangely then before. All they heard from the shed was strange sounds made with her voice, and the animals replying with their own sounds. She sighed and quickly went over to Flint. She sat down on a seat next to him, and rested her head against the table.
"Ashe should be arriving soon. I believe she has found your knife."
She looked over at the other two.
"How are your wounds fairing?" she asked curiously.
I hope they aren't too badly wounded. I was the one that caused the monster to come, by discovering it was a strange beast that killed the guards, and making so much noise about it. It is dead now, and the people of the town are safe. Though they don't seem to trust us at all. We are strange to them, and we are not like them. Humans fear those that are different from them.
Flint chatted with Marcus, the barkeeper, for a moment, then turned to Sorrow.
"Yeah, follow me" he said, slipping off the stool and walking to a set of stairs.
"Your room is number 14, down the hall to the right" he said, pointing down the hall. "Left side of the wall"
Sorrow sat upright and glared over the counter. She turned her head to the side when Lin had asked them how their wounds were doing. Sorrow was physically fine, she just needed rest. She looked over at Lin and then spoke softly.
“I’ll be fine. I’m okay.”
She noticed Flint getting up and shortly thereafter followed him towards the set of stairs. She stumbled a bit and held onto the wall to support herself up. She slowly walked up them, holding onto the rails, slowly approaching room fourteen. She turned the handle and stepped inside. It was a small room, but it would do. She closed the door and managed her way over to the bed. She emptied her pockets, containing the sewing kit Lin had given her, and a small book, her journal. She unzipped her jump suit and tossed all her bloody clothes aside, including her undergarments. She tossed the blankets aside and slipped under the bed sheets, fully naked, and turned over on her side pressing her face to the pillow and passed out.
Luniya was being unusally quiet. She was just watching the others go about their business. She took a mug with an unknown substance even to her inside of it. She drank it in almost one gulp, when she finished she directed for the bartender to give her another one.
Without even raising her head she replied,"I'll be just fine. It's no big deal." She managed a fake smile. Her eyes were dull, as if they had no life, luckily no one could notice with her hair in the way.
She watched as Flint showed Sorrow her room. He's so nice. She turned her head back to the counter while the bartender placed another drink in front of her. She looked inside the cup swirling the drink around, thoughtlessly. "How are your wounds doing Lin?" she asked politely.
Flint walked back down towards the bar, sitting where he was a few moments earlier, deciding to finish his drink and head upstairs to sleep for a bit.
He took a small sip of his drink, staring aimlessly out the window behind the bar, then automatically reached for his half-finished staff and resumed carving it.
Ashe walked through the door to the inn and looked around. She spotted the others and walked over. "Sorry 'bout being late. I wanted to send a message to my family about the creature." She took out the butterfly knife. "I believe this is yours, Flint," she said, slidding it towards him.
"What room am I in?" she asked the innkeeper, leaning on the bar. Calling to her family took some energy, but she felt sore from all the knocks she took from the creature. A bed was sounding very nice right about now.
Flint let the knife slide past, moving his hand in the intricate fashion under the bar. The knife stopped in front of him, spinning like a top.
The bartender looked over to Ashe.
"I got y'all rooms close by, because mainly, 's what I had left. Room....12" the bartender said, yawning slightly.
"Oh, and thanks" Flint said, nodding to his knife. "I've been lookin' for that"
Lin smiled at Luniya.
"I've seen better days, but otherwise my wounds are fine. I might go and sleep, I am rather exhausted."
She smiled and walked over to the bar beside Ashe.
"You feeling alright?" she asked curiously before turning to the bartender.
"Which room is mine?"
As Lin awaited a reply, she looked over at the shed. She had closed the door, and just hoped that no one was going to attack her animals at all. Though they could defend themselves, and each other, she was still uneasy about it. Her eyes returned to Ashe and the bartender.
"11" the bartender said simply, glancing at a list on the bar.
"Well, Im headed off to bed, if you need anything, I'm room 15. 'Night all" Flint said casually, getting up with his staff and knife in hand, moving to room 15.
When he opened the door, he saw it was unchanged, compared to when he was last in there. The only difference was the door to the small balcony was shut and the bed was made. He sat on the bed, and before he even closed his eyes and laid back, was asleep.
Fighting always took a lot out of him.
