Kero shook his head and sighed at the prospect of being buried alive by school supplies. "Just like old times." He looked at Bree thoughtfully for a few moments, then said, "Well, I'm going to get some well-deserved sleep. I suggest you do the same, Card Captor." He floated over to the house, his hand resting on the door knob for a few seconds before going inside the house and shutting the door behind him. Leaning his back against it, he sighed and said softly, "They always have to complicate things.... I wish you were here, Sakura." He padded upstairs to the bedroom, falling into the bed and quickly falling to sleep.

After a little bit of not being able to read the book, she shut off her light, and burrowed under the covers. Card captor... she liked the sound of that. The Next Morning...11:30... Bree was wincing, and glaring at the alarm clock. "Why. Won't. you. Shut. Up?" She slammed it down, then saw the switch. "Thank you." She switched it off, then flopped back on the bed. "Why am I getting up before noon?" She asked herself.

It was early the next morning when Steven was rudely woken up by the insufferable whine of his alarm. Wearily he opened his eyes and saw that he had fallen asleep while reading. He had been up most of the night reading through the books he had pulled out in search of some more information about this "card magic". Having made it through most of the books, Steven had uncovered of few bits and pieces pertaining to his query. Not enough to draw a definitive conclusion, but everything helped. Steven closed the booked that lay opened on his lap, since he slept sitting up, and looked over at the clock. Seeing the time, he slid off the bed and changed clothes before heading downstairs. "Hey mom," he greeted his mom with a kiss on the cheek, "Is dad home yet?" "No, your father is still over at the base," his mom replied. Steven laughed a little in spite of himself, he wasn't surprised really. His dad usually slept out at the base, and would come home every so often to spend time with the family. "OK. I am going to head out now. I need to go shopping for a birthday gift," he said quickly as he grabbed a piece of toast and ate it in one bite. He then went over to the door, waved bye, and went out.
He found a good place to buy a gift. It looked like on of those old antique stores. Ally likes these kind of things, right? Steven thought with a mental shrug. He stepped through the open door and into a cool room that smelled of moth-balls. The walls were lined with old shelves that held even older antiques. Steven started his search at a small show-case that had pieces of jewelry inside. He winced as he saw the prices, so he moved down the line. Yeah he felt a little ashamed of looking for some of the cheaper items, but he was not made of money. Eventually, he came to a cloth that had a selection of broaches laid out. One in particular caught his eye. He picked up a broach that looked like a miniature rapier sword. It was a reasonable price and he had a good feeling Ally would like it, so he brought it to the counter where an old woman greeted him and he bought it. He walked out of the store, and slid the wrapped box into his pocket.

(( This whole 'plan things out before-hand' thing is coming along great. We should try it more often. Heh heh ))
Night... the sound of the surf... staff... Kero...... the wave.
Tim woke from his dream to the sound of his alarm clock radio blaring off some hip-hop song. This is why he didn't listen to the radio in the afternoon. Nothing good was ever on. Why was his alarm clock going, anyway? Wasn't it Saturday? What was he supposed to do Saturday? He walked over to the alarm and switched it off. He glanced up at the alarm clock. 11:30AM. He remembered details of last night. "So..." He looked over at his nightstand and starred at the Card and his Key sitting right where he'd left them. "Yep, wasn't a dream." A light bulb when on in his head suddenly. He looked at the clock again and the sleep cleared from his eyes. Oh yeah! He was seeing that play with Bree today! He walked over to his closet and threw it open. He put his hand on his chin and looked at his clothes thoughtfully. Bree had said not anything fancy, but he was pretty sure t-shirt and shorts were out. He pulled from the back a nice looking collar shirt and glanced it over. It was white with a large vertical red stripe going up the front right side. That'll work, he thought. He also pulled out a pair of long khaki shorts and held the pair up to himself in a mirror. Yeah, that looks good. Not too fancy, not too casual, right for the weather. He put the ensemble on his bed and glanced back up at the clock. 11:34. Calm down, Tim. Plenty of time. He walked to the bathroom and turned on the shower.
-------------------
Kero was sitting cross-legged on top of his little house, and watched Bree go through the motions of waking up. When she flopped back on the, he considered waking her up... nah. It'll be a more interesting morning if he lets it ride.

Ally woke up to the sound of someone knocking on her bedroom door. She gave a big yawn and sat up in bed. "Yes come in," Ally called. A young woman entered the room, it was Sarah the family maid. Sarah greeted Ally with a wide smile and a bow. "Breakfast is ready, and your parents wish to speak with you when you are dressed," Sarah said. After that, the maid gave another bow, and left the room. Ally laid back down and looked around her room. The room was decorated with several posters and pictures, as well as several large stuffed animals scattered everywhere. With an almost constant color, pink, the room reflected how her parents felt about her. With another yawn, she got out of bed and quickly got dressed. When she was all washed up, Ally went downstairs to the dining area and was greeted by both the maids and her parents. "Mom, Dad, you guys don't have business meetings to go to?" Ally questioned as she hugged both parents. "We told them that we would be coming in late today on account of some more pressing matters," her father said. "We wanted to give you something," her mother added. With that, her father beckoned one of the maids over to the table, and he retrieved two slips of paper from a platter before handing them over to Ally. "Two tickets to Les Miserable? But these are your and mom's tickets, aren't they?" Ally asked as she looked from the tickets to her parents. "They were, but as it turns out your father and I wont be able to make it ourselves. So we thought we would let you have them," her mother said. "You can invite one of your friends to go with you. But be good, because you will be there representing us in our absence," her father finished. Ally smiled and hugged both her parents again, and ran up to her room. She brought out her cell phone and quickly dialed Steven's number.

Bree lay there for a few minutes, staring at the ceiling. "Oh... crap!" She tossed herself up, and ran across the room. What should she wear? What time was it? What was that yellow thing doing on her doll house? What was her doll house doing there? She quickly changed into one of the few cute things she had. A cute v-neck jade green shirt. She put on a pair of her favorite blue jeans, and her pair of sneakers. Neon green. She grinned, and put her necklace on. She ran a comb through her hair, then turned to Kero. "How do I look?" She asked him.

((Grianne already filled me in. So to save time I am skipping our phone conversation. You wouldn't like it anyway, it included pet names and cooing sounds...JK...not really xp Oh and Grianne's room is actually like that in real life. Everything is pink and fuzzy))
Steven's cell rang when he was almost home. He answered and Ally began talking a mile a minute. Just as soon as she had called, she hung up. Processing what he had just been told, he started home again to get ready. He was ready soon enough. He straightened his tie and put the gift box back in his pocket. When he returned down stairs, his mother simply smiled and handed him the keys to the car before ushering him out of the door. Steven sat in the car for a minute as he waited for his head to stop spinning. Everything had gone quickly after he had been invited to the play.
About ten minutes later, Steven pulled into the drive way of Ally's house. He stepped out of the car and shut the door of the old Chevy. He walked up to the front door and was about to ring the door bell when a woman in a maid's outfit opened the door. "We have been expecting you. Right this way," the woman led him into the main living room of the house and sat him down on a couch. A minute or two later, two aging Japanese, Ally's parents, entered the living room along with Ally herself. Her parents looked like they were off to another business meeting, and Ally was dressed in one of her Sunday dresses. Steven stood up and shook the parents' hands and smiled at Ally. "You two should be off to the play soon, you do not want to be late. If you are you wont be able to get in," Ally's father said. "Aaron will be able to give you a ride there and a ride back so don't worry" Steven was about to interject and say that he had driven himself and would be more than happy to drive Ally and himself to the play, but stopped and thought that he had never had a chauffeur before.

((And if anyone is wondering why Ally and I are dressed a bit more formally than you other two. It is because it has happened before. It was a casual party with friends, I was taking Ally, and her parents made her dress in a really nice dress, and her parents made me change out of the outfit I was in and into one of her father's old suits. We looked like we were going to an opera, and everybody else at the party was wearing t-shirts and jeans))

At the moment, Tim was three feet under his bed, looking for a comb. Why was he looking for a comb? He didn't entirely know, and didn't entirely want to think about it right now. "HA- OW!" He came out, rubbing his head, holding the comb triumphantly. "Found you!" He dusted himself off and walked back to the bathroom. He swiped the comb a couple times, then stood back, satisfied. It didn't look that much better than when he did it with his hand. He looked up at the clock and swore; 11:57. He dashed downstairs and grabbed a grocery bag. He opened up the fridge and took all the pudding cups and threw them into the bag. 11:58. He dashed to the front door and put on his roller skates, and out the door he went. Ten seconds later the door opened back up and Tim kicked the skates off, and he frantically raced up the stairs two at a time. Five seconds later he ran back down the stairs, his Key swinging from his neck and his Card in his pocket. On went the skates and back out the door he went.
--------------------
Kero looked her up and down. "Not bad, not bad. Tim will like it." He said with a sly grin. Just then a knock came from the front door and Kero looked expectingly in it's direction. "And here's the lucky lad now."

((Oh man, I remember when that happened, and I guess so does everyone else because they still comment about it xp ))
"Bye Mom, bye Dad, have a good business meeting!" Ally called after her parents as they went out of the door. She then turned to Steven and too get a good look at him. He was dressed in a pressed white shirt, a black satin tie, black dress pants, brown loafer shoes, and to top it off his normally loose hair was combed off to one side and slicked. "You look very handsome, Steven," Ally said as she took his hand in hers. The moment between the two was unfortunately cut short by a middle-aged man in a formal suit came up to them. "Hello Master Steven, I am Aaron," the man said with a formal bow, "I will be the one driving Miss Ally and yourself to the performance. And I apologize for interrupting you two, but we should be going soon." "Thank you Aaron. You may go get the car started, and we will meet you out there," Ally said kindly to the man. Aaron bowed low and left the room. Ally took Steven's hand again and began to lead him towards the door to the garage.

Bree glared at him. "I told you, its not like that!" She grabbed her card, and her backpack. She ran downstairs, nearly falling over. CRASH! KATHUNK! BONK! AAWWWOOOGGAAA!!! Okay, maybe she did... but it was on the last step. She skidded to the front door, and composed herself. She opened the door casually. "Oh, hey!" She grinned, as if she'd almost forgotten he was coming.

Steven started to follow Ally to the door when he remembered the gift he had to give her. He stopped where he was and continued to hold Ally's hand so she would stop as well. "Hey Ally, hold up a sec. I have something I want to give ya before we leave," Steven said. He then reached into his back pocket and pulled out the wrapped box. "I went out this morning and got this for you." He then handed the box off to Ally and waited for her to open it.

Ally took the box and gave Steven an excited look. She untied the ribbon, and carefully tore off the wrapping paper, which revealed a rectangular box. Upon opening the box, Ally drew a quick breath. "Steven. It is almost magical!" she said as she continued to look at the contents of the box. Slowly she pulled out the broach so as to get a better look at it. Content, she clipped the broach to the dress just above the left side of her chest. She looked up and immediately gave Steven a big hug and a kiss. "Come on, we don't want to be late," said giggled and giving Steven a wink. With that she pulled Steven along as she hurried out the door to where Aaron stood waiting to help the two into the black Mercedes.
A little while later, the car arrived at theater. Aaron got out first and proceeded to open the door for Steven and Ally. "I will be here to pick you up once the performance is finished," the old butler said. The man then gave them a bow, got back in the car drove away. "Let's go find our seats shall we?" Ally suggested as she and Steven stood outside the theater.

"Hey! Hope I'm on time." Tim said. Kero floated in behind Bree and gave Tim a hopeful look. Tim smiled and held up the bag. "YAY!!" Kero brushed past Bree and grabbed the bag from Tim. Straining under the weight, he flew into the kitchen and the sound of an opening fridge could be heard. Tim smiled and looked back at Bree. "Can I come in?"
