"Okay." He could deal with that, as long as it was someone worth bothering. And this starry adult certainly looked worth bothering. Magnus smirked. "What do you want to do to him? I say we punch him in the face!" Okay, so the little Dionysus child could be violent when he wanted to be, and that was mostly when he was bothering people. Perhaps Eboraria would have an idea that was a bit less violent. "Or maybe we can sing really loudly in his ears until his ears pop! That'll be fun, too! I'd love to see his face twist in sadness!"

((I'm starting to think ALL my posts are "MASSIVE POSTS OF DOOM"... sweatdrop ))
Oh, this was a 'special' Pae, of that much Kane was sure. He wasn't about to continue arguing this stupidity about classifying Pae'il with her, however. Pretty sure he didn't fit into any of those ignorant categories anyway.
She was a cheeky one though. Some deeper part of the feline admired that much. Reminded him of himself, if younger. Even if she was irritating.
He smirked. "No, I suppose it's not. Guess you can be taught afterall." With a self-satisfied look, he winked at her and popped another shrimp into his mouth.
---
Devyn's slitted eyes darted quickly between Erylia and Criofan, as he'd heard her call him, taking in the situation in an instant. Seems he'd inadvertently gotten himself involved in something more complicated than he'd intended. So much for a little night of fun with no strings attached...
"First of all, dear sir, I had no idea the lady was involved with anyone. I was under the impression that she was single when I approached her and asked her to dance. She did not correct me nor inform me of other wise, so I thought nothing of it." Normally, he would have backed down at this point and been on his way, but something was bothering him. His voice darkened a bit, his head shaking slightly. "However, in my experience, one does not possess a lady. She is not an object to be claimed, not by anyone, and she deserves to be treated with respect, sir."
His wings twitched a bit under his cloak, betraying his irritation to anyone that might have noticed the slight movement. He was trying to keep his cool, but something about this kid was grating on his nerves. Sure, he had no real connection to Erylia other than his flirting...but she was still a lady in his eyes and deserved to be treated as such.
---
Serefina blinked up in surprise, then smiled broadly at the rainbow hovering in the air over their heads. "Rain! That's...beautiful!" She smiled back at the male Pae, eyes sparkling. "Who cares if it's useful or not...that is a wonderful power. And if you can cheer people up with the mere sight of a rainbow, then wouldn't that make it plenty useful? It does in my book."
She looked slightly uncomfortable for a moment, then shook her head, speaking softly now. "It's kind of embarrassing...but..." She glanced back up nervously. "I'm...not really sure what my power is. I mean, I think I have one...but I'm not sure what it is exactly. Something happened once...but that was a long time ago and nothing has happened again since. That was back before...before I was what I am now," she explained awkwardly, not knowing if the land-dwellers knew any more than the Naiads who were previously Aion and Merion about the strange changes that had occurred.
---
Takeko smiled, leaning against her husband as they walked with a contented sigh. "Does my prince have any preferences? We could dance...or get something to eat or drink. Socialize a bit, if you prefer. I'm not sure if I see anyone I know yet, though." She was still keeping an expert maternal eye on Melek, even tracking the small boy through the other Pae'il milling and dancing about. She'd been at this sort of thing long enough, afterall.
Melek's eyes darted about, from Pae'il of bright colors in fancy clothes to the decorations and lights and colors everywhere! So much distracting shininess...
Then, something even more distracting. The smell of food caught the little Pae's attention and just wouldn't let go. Following his nose, he soon found himself at the buffet table...and too short to help himself. Curses! Foiled again! Alright, he needed an adult...or at least someone taller than he was.
Bingo! He'd spotted an odd-colored Pae that looked familiar for some reason. Wasn't that...the funny male demon Pae'il that Mommy had been watching over at the Healing House? Looked like him anyway, from what the child could remember. Either way, that was his new likely help. Scrambling over to the demon's side, he reached up and poked the demon in the leg. "FOOD!" He grinned and pointed with his free hand at the shrimp, so there would be no doubt as to what he wanted.

All Ducky could do was smile warmly up at Junior and she could get what she wants from him. However the subject of children seem to be of two different opinions here. "Of course sweetie... we do need our break, but we always did say we wanted a big family right? To share our love," she murmured softly as she remained in Junior's ever-loving arms as they twirl around the dance floor in a deep embrace.
"Yeah I was born ready," Christopher said as he turned around. However that was a big mistake on his part as his jaw dropped metaphorically to the floor. Dannnngggg... shes hot his mind said, admiring the curves that the dress had revealed. His eyes slowly went up to Adora's and cleared his throat. "Ready," he said hoarsely the first time before clearing his throat once again. "Ready of course," he said matter-of-fact. He was going to enjoy this dance, that is for sure as he held an arm out for Adora.

Debi nodded, making her hairdo bounce a little with the exuberant emotion. "He's still standing by the door. I don't think he's gonna come in more until someone drags him in," she said, and giggled. And she was probably right.
Her gaze didn't miss the blush, and she quickly followed where he was looking. "Oooh, I get it!" she exclaimed, and put one hand on her hip, shaking a finger on the other hand at him.
"You're as bad as Papa, honestly. You've got zero chance at all over here," the little bundle of confidence before him said. She wasn't old enough in her papa's opinion to be a part of the dating scene, but she wasn't far off, and very observant of how things usually went.
"Who is she?" Debi asked, tilting her head and beginning to plot in the back of her mind.

Sunny walked away from tris putting back on her mask with a swift motion trying to hide how she felt from the rest of the world she had just given tris her only tool that she could use if her powers ever got out of hand again. But she was willing to suffer because deep down she knew he was suffering inside also.

If the kid was going to be this annoying... Perhaps giving him a bit of excess information would get him to scoot. Criofan would rather not start a fight in the middle of a masquerade. That just wasn't classy, and while he didn't care about class all that much, it was better to keep up appearances for the moment. It made it easier to strike unexpectedly if he had to. "The 'Queen' thing stems from something we've done since we were only toddlers. She was the Queen of Shinies, I was the King. It's not a title of disrespect. Now, do you wish to poke any further into information you don't need or can you just scoot now?" Criofan pointed to the left in hopes that Devyn would simply give it up.
There were plenty of other women at the party. Devyn didn't need to be flirting with his interest. Even if Erylia didn't state that she already had someone, Criofan shouldn't have been surprised. They weren't officially together anyway. Criofan just liked to think of it that way. However, that fact still didn't justify Devyn's invasion in his mind.

An eyebrow twitched behind a fiery bang. "Woof." It was then that the little pae came into the picture. Odd fact. Cressida hated kids. Even when she was a kid. Her eyebrow at last arching, she put her foot to the childs chest and -none too gently- pushed him back from the irritating beast-lover. "Go back to your mom kid."
Woah...woah... She shook her head slightly, looking back at Devyn. "I am single. We've just known eachother since we were children. Afterall..." Her eyes flicked back to Criofan, the smile on her lips gone as she looked curiously, almost calculatingly at the fae. "According to my older brother Tristen...he's the newest ad up in personals." Hard to belong to something that wanted something else.

Keeping one eye on Debi, and realizing how ridiculous he looked just standing by the door, Aoaka finally moved in amongst the rest of the party goers. Or rather, he ghosted along the wall, his coloration helping him stay unnoticed.
His eyes were looking back and forth, alternately noting where Debi was (though she seemed in good hands), and scanning the crowd for a familiar figure. He hadn't seen her in a while... and he hadn't seen her here yet. He wondered if he'd done something wrong...
Aoaka ended up near the buffet table, and for lack of anything better to do, he filled a small plate with a few hors-d'oeuvres, and watched the rest of the party from behind his mask. He didn't even see anyone he recognized in more than passing.
Maybe Debi is right when she calls me a hermit crab, he thought to himself, and sighed.

"Sure I would love to." Apollo walked with Dayht as she had her fingers in his. It was a nice dance floor and he did like to dance with her. "Let's have fun!"
"Oh, well thanks." Jazz smiled again and blushed. She did love compliments. She was having a nice time dancing. "Oh, well...I had someone once, but I don't think it was real. After that it's been more crushes..." She tailed off as she didn't want to talk about it and ruin the dance.
Rain thought about that. "That's odd. I"m sure it was a nice power and one day when you really need it it will be there." That was what Rain thought, anyway. He didn't know much about it though. His power was older and came from his family line. Water and stuff. "Ah, maybe was it water-y?"

However, Eboraria didn't look too impressed with that idea. " That's a stupid idea. I think we should climb all over him and make it really, really hard for him to walk. Come on." She grabbed his wrist to make him move, letting go quickly because she wanted to be stealthy about sneaking up on the starry demon. The best part would be scaring him first.
Hyacinthus remembered her making some mention of that man on their first date. "Well, you have me and everything I say is genuine." As they turned together, he took the chance to move a little closer. "I won't ever lie to you, especially if he did, whoever he was. He doesn't matter anymore. You the one who's important." He had no idea if anyone else wanted her. The idea didn't even occur to him because she seemed so lonely. And if someone were to keep him from Jazz...well, even if the scenario had entered his thoughts, he wouldn't have any idea what he would do. Right now, he was making her happier than he suspected she had been in a long time.

Magnus huffed when she dragged him, refusing to admit that her idea was a bit better than his. When she let go of him, he silently crept towards the demon. "Okay. Make a signal and then we'll shock 'im." This would be fun! When they weighed the poor demon down, he could cry in frustration. Magnus loved when adults got mad. They always said the funniest things. The fae wanted to learn a few of those strange words to shock the adults, admittedly.
He looked to Eboraria and nodded to signal that he was ready whenever she was. The little fae flexed his fingers.
Freedom! Aysu burst into the scene a bit late, but she had reasons. Little Zuri had refused to leave her alone. It had taken Aysu a while to convince Zuri that Seiana could take care of him. She usually did, anyway, right? Anyway, she had raised Aysu, so a male naiad couldn't too different. Aysu wore a beautiful blue dress to complement her natural beauty. It had a slit up the side and was strapless, mostly because she didn't want to hide too much. She wore a rather simple light purple mask with a bright green feather coming off the side. Of course, to anyone who knew her, Aysu was still quite easy to spot thanks to her designs.
"Free at last! Now there has to be some fun people here!" The naiad could care less if anyone gave her strange looks for talking to herself. Aysu was happy. She headed to the buffet table to grab some hors d'ouevres and perhaps a little punch.

Standing by the buffet table, plate of snacks still mostly untouched, Aoaka watched as people came up, some in pairs, some singly, and refreshed themselves.
A couple times he thought of making conversation, but he was just as content to watch the party flow past him. If someone approached him, he'd be more than willing to make conversation, but until then, he'd stand and keep an eye on Debi... and watch for Pol.

Jazz smiled as the fae spoke. He was saying such wonderful things. The elder wasn't really sure why. "I guess you are right. I am the one who is important." She nodded as she blushed a little. "Thank you for making me remember that." With that she gave him a kiss on the cheek. It was nice to have someone be nice to her.

Hyacinthus grinned as his face flamed with her lips touched his cheek. In return, he quickly kissed her near the corner of her mouth. As the music changed, he switched their dance to something easier for him to lead. "I'm sorry about our first date." That time, he had left shortly after eating with a weak excuse about needing to get home. He had felt awful about running away in fear.
"I want to have a second date with you. It'll be much better this time. Tell me what you like, and I will bring it. Anything you want. And then we can dance and sing and do everything you like. I promise." He spoke earnestly when he made his proposal. "And this time, I won't leave. I promise not to leave you like that again."
(Mina: I hope you don't mind me filling in that little bit about how their date ended since we never RPed that out. Lemme know if it's a problem and I can change it)

"I'm thinking a dace with my fair lady would be wonderful. I just hope I don't step on your feet too much." He winked at her and then led her to the dancefloor. He too kept one eye on the small child.
