The giant ball of energy shot a massive wave of energy at David. It was up to the ceiling of the room. It collided with him, and once again, David's armor seemed to grow. Black sand seemed to fall out of his skin, and float around him.

And even still, the ball of energy was growing more powerful. The energy David just took from it was only a small fraction of its total power.

Within a moment, Ulquiorra was surrounded by a large black dome. Just as quickly, the inside of it burst into light and heat, as David rerouted the energy into the inside of it. With the metal having a reflective property of light, the energy not only sustained itself, but kept growing, almost like the other giant ball of energy.

This time, David was very surprised. First off, he, he noticed the glyph and limiter were disabled. Not just that, but, Ulquiorra was even more powerful now it seemed, AND he seemed to be a completely different person. As to apposed to where he wouldn't show emotion, now he seemed to showing quite a lot of it.

All of a sudden, the orb of light exploded, engulfing the entire room at the speed of light. Neither Ulquiorra or David would be able to surpass its speed.

While this was happening, David's giant tower shield seemed to warp, and actually move in between Ulquiorra's blow, and David. The moment Ulquiorra's attack hit the shield, it shattered, but not without shunting much of the force, and slowing it down. In that time David had turned around and jumped backwards, putting distance in between the two of them.

As for the dome that had shattered, due to Ulquiorra, it had grown, replicated, and turned into particles. These particles now lined the walls, the ceiling, and floor. The light would bounce off these particles, growing stronger in time. The entire room was engulfed in light and heat, but that wasn't the worst of it yet.

David's armor was busily absorbing some of the heat and light energy, and converting it into spiritual energy for David. His energy was restored completely almost in an instant, which testifies to the amount of power in the late energy orb. David had even compressed all the energy to fill his entire body, and it still had so much more energy left.

David decided to use all of this excess energy, which would be replaced quite quickly after he used it anyways.

David held out his arm in the direction of Ulquiorra. A massive beam of concentrated energy shot out at Ulquiorra, creating even more light and heat. The moment it touched the walls, ceiling, or floor, it would only reflect, and become bigger as well. And that was relatively easy for it, since it was easily the length and width of the room.

David didn't have to worry about the energy hitting him. His armor would use the Clockwork Blades ability to absorb magical energy.

Anyways, there was more. As he fired off the beam of energy, thousands of giant black spikes appeared behind David. The armor was still busily eating away, only a percentage of it going to spiritual energy, since there would be enough energy from that to fill David anyways, and more. The excess energy that went to David was stored into his WinterWinds. Anyways, the armor consuming the energy, and growing stronger. The spikes flew at Ulquiorra, each one infused with massive amounts of light and heat energy, as well as spiritual energy. These were reflecting and growing inside them as well.

As for the shards of the white shield, they expanded, and seemed to form a ring around Ulquiorra. Several hundred tiny tentacles would shoot out of this ring and try to constrain him.

"Interesting....." David said, as Ulquiorra ripped through the energy with the most ease. He rasied an eyebrow as he continued his charge at him.

David's energy was rising as well, actually surpassing the physical limitations of his body, and spreading out and around him in a clear aura of blue. This was from the energy bouncing about the room, which was still growing, and consuming the area in massive amounts of energy.

"Angelic Complex..." David muttered, as Ulquiorra appeared in front of him, slashing down.

The entire area around David exploded into light, a large circle of light formed around him. Ulquiorra was in this circle.

The effects of the Angelic Complex was very different from the WinterWind. It did have a massive supply of energy, but it had many other effects.

For one, if something in the circle has no angelic blood, their energy would actually be converted into a different energy, incompatible with their body. In an instant, Ulquiorra's energy would be pretty much sealed off. Also, all physical attributes, such as strength and speed and defense, are cut in half. This was only for non-angelic races. The way that this was happening was through alchemy. Upon entering the circle, their body is changed. The material it is made of, the muscle tissue, everything, is converted into half of it's strength, size, etc. The circle had a radius of 15 ft. Upon leaving the circle, their body and energy would turn to normal, but only then. There were other effects, but these two were the only relevant to this battle.

The only draw back was that it required quite a deal of energy, and it could be used only once every so often.

As for Ulquiorra, David's strength, speed, etc, was still increasing, due to his increasing energy supply, his Alchemist's Armor energy supply growing, and the Lucifer's Armor eating more and more energy. David's are shot up, blocking Ulquiorra's hand, but only barely. He was still less than half of Ulquiorra's original strength, but that would change very soon.

David fell to his knees, looking quite exhausted. He looked up at Ulquiorra, smiling tiredly. "What the hell was that?" David asked, standing up shakily.

"Sorry, but we can't stop now. It's just about to get good." David replied softly, but still somewhat happily. "Besides, I'd rather keep going. I might learn more...." David added, and in somewhat of a reverent tone. Ulquiorra was someone David respected for his strength, and power. His personality kinda sucked sometimes, but that was okay.

David smiled, taking a couple of steps back, and out of Ulquiorra's Limiter.

"Angelic Complex: Magnum Opus." "Lunar Eclipse: Perfect Dark." David said simultaneously, his armor warping the sounds to make two statements.

The eye patch fell off of David's face, and hit the ground. David's left eye was engulfed in complete darkness.

Then, all of a sudden, both Ulquiorra and David were inside a completely dark area. This was a giant orb in the room, that filled most of the room. It only had David and Ulquiorra inside of it though.

Within the orb, the walls of the orb were lined in various runes and pentacles. But Ulquiorra, nor David could see them.

The effect of the black orb, Perfect Dark, was quite complex. First, all senses no longer worked at all. Spiritual energy was completely masked. And lastly, nothing could come in, or go out. Meaning, energy, effects, etc. The only thing that would not be affected by the Perfect Dark's influence was anything completely in darkness before the spell began. That meant David's eye.

As for the runes, this was the Magnum Opus. This also had some strange effects. While within it's influence, no spiritual abilities worked, and all physical attributes were cut down to 25%. Also, spiritual energy cannot be increased, or changed whatsoever. That meant no Espada release, or limiter releases, etc. This only applied to those not of angelic blood.

Ulquiorra's Glyph would not be able to reach David, or Ulquiorra, within the orb. No effects went in, or out. And it was only David and Ulquiorra who were within it now.

David snapped a finger, but neither Ulquiorra or David would hear it, feel, etc. Only David would see it. Fire was produced, and his armor fed off of it hungrily, mirroring it inside itself. The increased energy would then be used to replenish David's energy completely.

Ulquiorra's mouth was moving, and David could tell what he was saying by reading his lips.

David looked at Ulquiorra with his "good" eye, in alarm. This was quite the unexpected turn of events. No matter, no use just sitting there.

"Consume." David said. He realized he no longer needed the Angelic Complex. And, so, he absorbed the energy used to create it, and the massive store of energy inside the portal.

Still, nothing could leave, or enter the Perfect Dark, and all the senses were masked, as well as the spiritual energy signatures.

He wished Ulquiorra could hear him. David wanted to comment on his Espada form. It was very impressive, and though David wasn't one to feel belittled, just Ulquiorra's Espada presence was dwarfing.

He snapped his left hand, more flames being generated and fed into his armor. The armor began to bulge again, releasing tiny particles of black into the air. It was getting stronger by the moment, and though Ulquiorra was very powerful at the moment, he would have trouble with David if he waited much longer without doing anything.
