(Hero they went deep into the woods your sure you would hear splashing from the road?) Kahlin stuck out his tongue in a playful jest standing the water coming just to his waist in the deep end and pushed a wave of water at R'ael. "That was a challenge!" He called playful.

((I suppose the splashing might be possible (with Difficulty) but we'd also hear Re'em coming first I'd think. *headstands* I'd take a moment or two to figure it out or something. Oh and there's also a bronze flit. Rikk, he's zipping around too))
"I'll have you know..." Ra'el notes with a mockery of grave seriousness. "Well aside from the fact someone's going to asky why I'm walking around soaked He laughs, shoving water toward Kahlin. "That you're chalenging someone who used to be learning fishercraft. I can't dance, sure as hell can't sing a note, but I can swim like anyone's business."

(Hmm true we would hear him first crashing through the woods..hmm perhaps two more post and then we hear Re'em and replie to Hero's post?)
Kahlin laughed as the water splashed him. "Yeah but I know this area like the back of my hand." He laughed moving threw the deep end to the shallows where it reached just above his ankle bending over to splashing the water back at Ra'el. "And this place isn't deep enough to swim in yet till we fix it."

((that'll work. :3 )) "Alright now thats an unfair advantage." He laughed, sloshing more water in return, now dripping wet. "I might just have to call in the calvary...presuming he's dont stuffing his face He adds, flicking water toward the dragonete, who snorts indignantly and makes great show of having nothing to do with the tom foolery. Rikk, the bronze flit, dives and swoops and chitters, staying just out of range of the spashing though he makes great show of trying to come close to the thrown water without actually getting wet.

Sonia swooped at the bronze chittering gayly as she tried to press him far enough down to get him wet.
Kahlin laughed his hair dripping wet clothing sticking to his skin."Perhaps you should of thought of that when I first changelled you." He splashed a small wave of water at the blue. "And you where the one saying the swiming hole would be to small," he teased the blue. " But you won't even go near the water." He paused hearing sounds."Someone in the woods.."

Hip deep in the water, he pauses to listen, and Jaiereth lifts his head, snorting at Kahlin and shaking his damp wings in reminder that he had, earlier, been in the water, but now he was engaged in the ever so important task of eating. Rikk whirrs and spins down to dive around the new comers head boldly before sailing back to his sopping wet master as Re'em emerges from the woods. At 21 he doesn't consider himself a 'boy' any longer, but standing around sopping wet with his boots on the bank he must rather look like one. "Afternoon..." He says, clearing his throat, wading toward the bank, and hoping he's not about to get in trouble for taking Jaiereth out with him, though the blue chews contentedly, watching the other man with interest.

"Yah yah so your eatting your going to get pudgy." Kahlin teased the blue and fell back to the other side of the spring as the other emeraged. He had hoped who ever it was would just walk by. He angled his body so the bruise would not be noticed nodding dripping wet bangs getting in his eyes. "Afternoon." He echoed R'ael greeting.

Caleten smiled at the playful puppy and petted him once more, scratching him behind the ear and under his chin. "Dem'or, lets go, you need a bath.", The puppy whined a moment then wagged his high sitting single curled tail once and it went slightly straight at the action.
She walked forward into the lush woods, she knew there was a river near by. Dem'or looked to the left of them, his head tilted to the side. Caleten couldn't hear anything but the puppy heard water splashing and voices. Barking to alert her, he ran that direction and back to her playfully. With a smile she reached out and picked the puppy up in one of his runs. Her voice, soft with kindness and affection, spoke, "What is it, Dem'or? Well, never mind it, the water is up ahead."
Dem'or tilted his head and reached his muzzle up to lick her, the mark was dead on and she pulled back laughing as her nose got licked. With another soft smile she kept walking, dodging a branch here and there and stepping over a root as it got in her way. There was her goal, a winding river moving slow enough to be of use. Thats when she placed Dem'or down and before he could run to the sound he heard first, she called his name and urged him to follow her.
He did and during the small walk, she rolled up her sleeves so that they sat on her shoulders. On her left arm lay a big dark blue and purple bruise that hadn't gone away yet. She paid it no mind. At the water's edge, she kneeled and patted the ground to further urge the puppy to her. He came obediently, and didn't complain as she put him in the river at a shallow part near her so that the water didn't go much higher then his shoulder tops. She rubbed him to help loosen the dirt and tangles. As she did that, lots of dirt and leaves went flowing almost like blood in color form then down river towards where Kahlin and Ra'el are, not that she knew. Then she let go and watched the puppy swim about barking.
Laughing again, softly full of joy and bless, she tossed a stick into the water and the puppy went after it, he missed and the stick went down the river as his dirt had as well. Turning around in his doggy paddling he whined at his lost toy. Caleten grabbed another stick and tossed it. This time the puppy grabbed it and swam back with his head held high with pride at his catch.

Trelweny ((NP to me, Ryugen. We're still here, Shariea. Let's tie this up so the timeline isn't too convoluted. okay?)) --at least a week before 2nd flight--Fellis squawked indignately as Sisao shoved her, until realizing it was play. When that became clear she worked at figuring out this new "game" by shoving back. Game or no game, she was getting oiled!
Laughing at the firelizards in her lap while trying to get them oiled at the sme time, she could only smile broader as the bronze rider relayed the size of his bond in comparrison to Moth. So her memory of the Green had not been too far off in comparison. She still had so much to learn. The journeywoman wondered how much of the dragon healing she had read in the books left in the healer barracks she would be expected to perform when the weyr next flew thread. Kyira hoped she would be up to the task.
She nodded absntly as he talked of Sisao's 'training', seeing how having a dragon readily there to mindspeak would be an advantage. Kyira was both sad & glad that she did not, nor would not, impress a dragon. She was not sure she would be able to remain a healer & practice her music if a dragon was in her life. Still, the thought of a dragon bond intrigued her as it did so many of Pern's youth.
Nothing about C'tari seemed sly to the easily naive young woman. It was good he had brushed aside that errant hair, for she was resisting th eimpulse to move it for him. "What? Get these ruined?" She gestured at her healer's garb with a rueful mock-frown. Already from the firelizards' antics the oil was making dark spots against the light fabric. With a childish wink she looked him in the eye. "These see worse when I'm working, believe me. It's not as if I'm in my gather best!"
Giggling she finished oiling the tiny greens. Fellis vocalized a minor protest, then took off for a good place to sun still in view of the action. "Just tell me what to do... I'm a quick learn!"((meh. I wish I could remember better how the healer-garb was described in the books. If it was described...)) Shariea Talare could only chuckle as she watched the small hord of flits her eyes shifted between them all and she slowly tilted her head to one side. "Crafty little things arnt they. They rather seem to like the oil though.." she chuckled heartily. "Is it much of a game to them then? " She watched as the chirped and flapped their wings, rolling over to get their softer belly hide oiled. Tails whipping against hide and flesh alike.
"I do hope only haveing one myself will cut down on all this comotion!" she laughed and brushes away a few strands of her dark hair. "About that... where should I find the oil to take care of these darlings? Would the healer hall have some in abunace?" She rather thought they should, but she didnt want to become such a burdon to the weyr so quickly after having arrived. ((Changing the color to blue to suit her harperness, and so its eaiser to see. )) C'tari nodded to the shed and surrounding area. There is always oil stored around here, but for the most part it is for the dragons. He nodded, to be honest, I'm not entirely sure if this is where you would get oil for the little ones or not. He smiled as he started brushing Feronamth, your fun is just beginning with her, congratulations. He turned his attention back to the healer. Well, there isn't much to learn, just grab a brush and don't miss any spots. He motioned to the large warm barrel of oil and the four brush poles sticking out of it. Feronamth tilted his head towards the two women looking at them through his swirling multi-faceted eye. She is a healer, my tail itches. He swung his tail back and forth a bit as if to emphasize the point to his rider.C'tari wandered suddenly to his dragon's tail and started feeling along the length of it getting signals from Feronamth as to where to stop. He came to the largest of several thread scars and began scratching at it, removing some layers of flaky skin. Suddenly unaware of the other people he grabbed a scaling brush meant for yearlings to remove the old skin as they grow and started in on Feronamth's ever itchy tail. Sisao chirruped as Fellis pushed back and then took off into the air to join C'tari at Feronamth's tail. She flitted about C'tari's head and then to Feronamth's neck ridge where she made herself comfortable sunning where the harnes usually sat.

--with the 1-2 weeks before 2nd flight group-- "Most likely it will add to the commotion, but having your own firelizard will certainly be fun!" With a grin she handed the harper her own jar of oil, just in case the firelizards wanted more oiling. "I've not had Fellis long, so I'm still learning myself. Today's really the first I've seen her with the others of the weyr."
Standing up she did not bother to brush herself off -- her oily hands would just draw the dirt to them. As per the dragonrider's direction she grasped one of the long-handled brushes laiden with oil & begn slopping it on. "I've been using oils in the healer barracks as well as those I brought with me for Fellis. I never dreamed of thinking to ask to share any of the oil for dragons. I know how to make more, when I need too, but I'll need something sharper than my knife to cut through these Southern plants to make the scent better. I was just looking to see if the Trader had any long knives to sell when Sisao found Fellis."
Seeing C'tari scrubbing vigourously at the bronze's tail her face crinkled in concern. "How old are those scars?"

Talare chuckled softly as her fingers driftes up to caress the tail of the dozing Kamui. A flush rose to her cheeks as the healer handed her a Jar of Oil. "Oh My.. Thank you. Im in your debt." she grined and tucked it away for now into the pouch on her belt, near her pipes. The Harper was new to things at the weyr and seeing dragons on a daily basis was a new experiance in its own.. More so when it came to the every day care. Her eyes Skimmed over bronze's form as C'Tari and Kyira took up the brooms and began to scrub the oil into his hide.
With a Tilt of her head and a deft twist of her wrist Talare pulled her long ebony tresses into a Pony tail. The Fact that this was her only good tunic and the oil and grit could stain it flitted from her mind as she grabbed up a broom and began to help. She laughed lightly and grined as she Scrubbed the bronze Dragon down. "This is hard work, but well worth it." She paused and rolled up the long sleeves of her tunic, the sun was high and the air was warm, and working the broom back and forth could get one rather warm under the collar. Unused to this sort of work, she proved to lack the Stamina to keep a good pace, but she enjoyed herself none the less.
Kamui roused against her hair and dug her claws into her shoulder. "Ouch!" The little green was only adjusting herself, but Talare had yet to get used to the sharp tallons in her skin. "You will take some getting used to little one." she said and laughed again with a shake of her head, working the broom over the haunches of the Bronze.

"Oh!" She cried, spying the green hatchling. "Where did she come from?" Kyira did not recall seeing that firelizard when meeting the harper.
Although slightly diverted her healer's heart kept her mind & eyes returning to the bronze's scars. She would not push it though. Not right now. Perhaps after the oiling. The book she had read on healing dragons warned that some dragons or riders were difficult when pressed about injuries, old or new. Kyira knew that was true of anyone. A dragon however could seriously hurt a healer if it lashed out in anger' moreso than a human. She would bide her time, but she would do something about it! She doubted it should still be flaking like it was, but it depended on the age of it. If rather new it would flake more.

(I don't actually know how far we are into this pass... so I'm just going to say it has been a while. sweatdrop )
Feronamth's humming brought C'tari out of his daze of the itchy flaky tail and Feronamth repeated the healer's question to his otherwise distracted rider. It is older than it looks. He said, his eyebrows screwed concernedly. It just never seems to stop itching him and when I scrape at it, the top couple layers always flake off. A constant sore for both of us. We got that scar on our first flight. He seemed to be talking to the tail and not to the healer. His tone was both angry and defeated. But he didn't stray long, he'd done what he could for it at the moment, so he redipped the oil brush and lathered a good amount of oil directly onto the sore.
Feronamth twtiched the tail a bit as the oil felt strange in the cut, but after a while he settled, his eyes began whirling an even softer green when Talare struck into help. He had never been oiled by so many people at once. He decided it best to hold completely and absolutely still.

Talare laughed softly and smiled at Kyira. "This is Kamui, she just hatched not a sevenday ago. " She nodded softly and returned to scumbbing down the dragon with oil, before long some of the over spray had stained her new tunic and even a bit on her leggings. "Oh my.. " she looked down at herself and finally laughed. "Im horrable with new clothing." Talare flashed a smile at both Kyira and C'tari. "So, how often do dragons need a good oiling?" she asked, pausing for a moment to rest her arms and also watch as C'tari rubbed against the flaking scar on the bronze's massive tail.
Everything about dragons and flits fasinated her, and she wanted to learn as much as she could while she was here at the Weyr. She Fansied everything as a learning experiance.
Kamui whom had been trying to sleep around Talare's neck was finding her a rather uncomfortable bed while all this work was going about. Her small green tail lashed about in agitation and she gave a anoyed chirp in Talare's ear.
"Hush now, I cant stop what im doing just because you wish to sleep lazy one. Why not strech your wings while we're outside eh?"
Kamui's eyes whirled a little bit through a range of colors before settling on a aple green, with that she spred her wings and lept off ot Talare's shoulder, did one full circle...and came to rest on the top of her head. "hey now! That wasnt a propor flight...besides you'll like it there less when I go back to helping Oil."
Kamui only chirped and stayed on Talare's head, much to her anoyance. Finally the harper shruged and went back to oiling, dipping the broom into the barrel of oil and setting about making sure the bronze's flank was proporly scrubed.

((I have no idead which pass we're on. Your guess is as good as mine.)) Kyira nodded at Talare & her firelizard briefly. "Kamui is a lovely name." But her attention was back on the bronze's scars. The healer might be easily distracted in most things, but when it came to her craft she plunged ahead with deadly focus.
"Has a healer seen it?" She did not even notice C'tari's speaking to the tail instead of to her. In fact she was similarily looking at the tail with her concerned eyes crinkling between slathering brushloads of oil on Feronamth's hide. "I recall seeing something about a balm for threadscores on dragons in one of the Healer hides left by the previous Rias Healers. Something really should be done. New scars might still peal like that, but not old scars." This was very concerning to her. Sicknessess could enter into unhealed places, and with the dragon fighting Thread & going between... well, Kyira did not really understand all that entailed but it did not sound good to her.
((If I reiterated anything Kyira hs said before that's my laziness for not going back to check. smile ))
