Talitha hopped in next to him and waited for the sled to start flying down the hill. It started sliding, but at about the pace of the snail Adaire sometimes carries around on his head. Dissappointed, Talitha peered over the front of the sled and looked down at the snow on the hill, the action of which sent the sled in faster motion. Soon they were indeed flying down the hill... Talitha laughed and closed her eyes against the cold wind that drove the large icy flakes into her face.

Lexis felt the sled begin to slide slowly, and then pick up speed. The cold wind beat against his face along with the snow. It was chilly, and he had to close his eyes some, but it was quite an exilerating trip down. "Whoa, that was awesome!" he exclaimed when they had arrived at the bottom.

"I agree completely," replied Lexis, proceeding to run back up the hill to slide back down.

Talitha raced after him, trying to drag the sled without falling back down the hill.

"Would you like some help?" Lexis walked over and helped relieve some of the load off of Talitha.

"Thank you!" she said with a smile, reaching the top of the hill, "Why don't we get a running start? Then we can go even faster!"

"Yeah!" exclaimed Lexis. The faster the better, after all. "On the count of 3?"

"Okie! One... Two... Three!" Talitha dashed forward and launched herself at the sled, feeling it lurch forward and sail over the edge of the hill for a moment before hitting the snow and whooshing down it at full speed. She had enough time to let out a loud "Wheee!" before the sled careened into a snow bank and sent her flying through the air. "Ooof!" her head popped out of the now very deep snow and shook itself to get th snow out of her ears, "That was fun! Lexis? Where'd you go?"
(Sorry if I took control a little there... I wanted one of their little rides to go askew sweatdrop Just for the fun of it... I'm done now...)

The sled lurched forward and flew down the hill a little faster than anticipated. Lexis was having a blast with the speed until they suddenly hit a snowbank and he found himself launched foward, out of the sled and into the unexpectedly-deep snow. He stuck his head out of the snow to let Talitha know where he was, but then a pile of snow located on a tree overhead shifted and landed on Lexis, burying him yet again.

"Lexis? Lexis?!" She looked around wildly for a moment before seeing him pop out of the snow, then having the snow fall on him again. Racing over, she began to dig at the snow, falling through the snow bank and being buried herself as well. "Lexis? Are you here somewhere?" she began to burrow through the snow like a gopher.

Lexis worked his way up through the snow so that he could get back on the surface and let Talitha know where he was. He burrowed through for a moment, until he hit his head on something hard and furry. He backed up, rubbed his head a bit, and opened his eyes to see a familiar pair of green eyes looking back at him.

Talitha tried to scoot backwards when she ran into something, but she got caught in all the slippery snow. Blinking she recognized Lexis staring back at her, "I found you! I thought were buried!!!" She sounded a little panicky, but strove to stop scrambling at the snow long enough to lever herself out of the hole she dug and let Lexis out.

"I was," he said, laughing as he crawled out of the tunnel Talitha had dug. She sounded a little panicked, so he wanted to lighten the mood some. "Thank you for gettting me out." He was pretty certain he could have done so himself, but that was no reason for not thanking her for doing so for him.

"Welcome!" she replied, calming down. Spying the sled sticking out of the snowbank a little further on she said, "Maybe we should go so fast on the next one..." She wandered over to it and gripped the rope in her teeth, trying to pull it loose from the now tightly packed snow.
