Nero found himself watching the others finish up their meal before it was time to explore once again. He shifted to come by Conundrum, smiling slightly. He was in a good mood today... The Gods smiled down upon them, with Conundrum's transformation to Elder. The Tribe was complete. Still growing, yes, but now they were officially a Tribe.
"Let us go then."

Kisa followed after Hiro, Conundrum and Nero and began to hum softly. She was quite happy to have found these nice foxes to stay with. She quickened her pace to catch up to the others and looked up at Conundrum and then at Nero. She was curious about Nero, who seemed to be more reserved than the other foxes she had met here.
Orion nodded to Kiati and Lirance and head off after the others to go exploring. He was excited to see what they might find today, and he would be glad when they could have a dry, clean cave to sleep in.
((it's still fall on the day we are on right? I guess tomorrow it will be winter? xp ))

((Yeep! Sorry for long time no posty! x____x))
Kera trotted to catch up with the others, snapping her mind back to the present. For some reason unknown to her, she had started to think of her brother, and just thinking of him there brought down a wave of depression. Kera attempted to shove the thought out of her mind, but it kept worming it's way back in, like a poison. It's your fault, you know. It's your fault he is gone and probably dead. You weren't good enough. He's gone. And you killed him. Oh, trying to hope? It's been months already.... Kera desperately tried to cling to memories of the good times with her brother, but they were shoved aside by a part of her that was constantly wracked with guilt, saying she didn't deserve them after what had happened. She had managed not to think her brother for such a long time, and had been able to live her life. But now that resolve was beginning to crack, and it would not be long before it crumbled completely. Looking around at her new tribe, she hoped desperately that with their help she might be able to survive the storm to come.

"I'm just as glad as you." He smiled softly at the beautiful vixen before turning to look at the kits as she introduced them. "Kisa and Hiro; alright, well its nice to meet the two of you." Broken from conversation by the impatient but cute kits, Lirance turned and followed off after the departing group beside Kaiti.

Hiro walked happily beside Kisa as Conundrum led the way. His eyes shifted around at the rest of the tribe who was also following. He happened to notice that Kera looked a bit distressed. He cocked his head to the side and raised an eyebrow at her, wondering what could be bothering her. "Hey, what's wrong with you?" he asked. Realizing that he may have sounded a little rude he added, "I mean...are you ok?"

((I was trying to wait for Jul to post with Conundrum... But we need something to happen. ^^; ))
Finding little eyes upon him, Nero glanced to Kisa. These foxes seemed interested, at least... He slowed his pace to walk alongside the little one and her brother, careful not to seem too intimidating. Sometimes his almost cold demeanor could scare others off... Conundrum had been one of the few to almost instantly gain his trust.

Conundrum glanced around at his tribe, and immediately noticed something was wrong with Kera.
"What's wrong, Kera? We're family here, you can tell us, or at least me." Conundrum slowed until he was stopped next to her, his eyes gazing down into hers.
"Why don't you guys go on. We'll be there in a minute or two." He said almost absently, deeply worried for his fellow tribe member.

Noticing Nero looking her way, Kisa quickly turned her gaze to the ground. She continued humming her little song, feeling slightly nervous. She looked up at Nero now that he was beside them and smiled shyly. "Hello," she said, trying to sound a bit more confident than she felt.

Seeing the little one looking to him, Nero tried a kind smile as he continued to walk with her. "Hey there." Though he seemed a little unapproachable he supposed, the kits had nothing to fear from him. He wasn't the most paternal of foxes... But he wasn't cruel.

((lol like a giant bear coming out and attacking them and them fighting it off?! lol I want Orion to fight a bear >.> lol *goes bear hunting* ...or introducing the tribe guardian. But maybe that should be tomorrow? I have no idea lol))
Orion continued following the others and paused for a moment when Conundrum went to Kera. Orion frowned slightly, wondering what was wrong. But decided not to approach her knowing that Conundrum could help her better than he could. Orion kept moving.
As they came upon the entrance to a cave, he stopped to listen. He peered into the darkness, intently searching for any sign of life...or threat.
Kisa's smile widened as Nero smiled back at her. She was glad he seemed to be friendly for she had so many questions she wanted to ask. But she wasn't sure if she should bother him with her thoughts. She decided to speak up. "So...where are we exactly? I mean, does this area have a name?" Kisa began to worry that Nero would think her question silly or trivial. I think we are on a mountain...but I am so mixed up that I really have no idea, she thought.

Hiro saw Conundrum stop with Kera so he continued on with the others and tried not to worry about her. It was probably nothing anyway...girls always seemed to have such dumb problems... He shook his head and sighed...'girls'
Hiro looked up at Nero, who was now beside him and Kisa, and waited for an answer as to their whereabouts. Then as he looked ahead he saw the entrance to the cave and all other interests seemed to fade away. Up ahead awaited an adventure.

Kera's ears drooped a bit as she told him. "My brother. He was lost. Because of me. I went out one night--to this very lake--and I met some others; and one fox.... that I really wanted to see again. I had one of the best times I had ever had. But I didn't remember about my brother until much later. When I finally got home.... it had been ransacked, and my brother was gone. I saw no blood, so I thought my brother might still be alive.... but time went by and it was clear, he wasn't coming back. I know there probably isn't much I could have done even if I was there, but I still can't help but feel responsible. For awhile I dealt with the guilt by not thinking about it, but the thoughts came back recently. My brother's name was Serrin, and I still miss him terribly...."

Conundrum's eyes widened as she told her story, staying silent until she was finished, then said quietly, "Let's go see if we can find him." He smiled softly. "I mean, what sort of tribe would we be if we didn't at least try to help?" He grinned, then turned and called to the group. When they came over, he sat down and looked at them all seriously, his eyes lingering on the kits for a moment or two.
"Kera seems to have misplaced her brother, and I think it is our responsibility as her tribe-mates to help find him. Now...kits," He said, laying down so that he was at eyelevel with him. "If you feel up to it, you can come with us, but you have to stay with either of the Carers at all time, alright? They'll take you back if you get tired." He looked at the Carers to make sure that they were alright with this then stood. "Where did you say your home was?"

"It was in between here and the ocean shore. Between going here and there, both me and my brother learned how to swim, and from various sources we also learned how to read and write. It's a bit of a journey, but not too overly long." Kera gave a gave a sad, but also slightly hopeful smile to Conundrum. "Thank you for this. I don't if we will find him, but this still means so much."
(( XD I'm adding in that detail about the ocean shore, since Serrin ended up in Bateau. Would Conny know about Bateau from his sister or not? If he does know, we could use the expedition to also possibly meet the Bateau tribe.... ninja ))

Kiati nodded at Conundrum when he looked to her then she smiled at Hiro and Kisa. She gently nudged Lirance as she moved to sit closer to the kits. Keeping her gaze on Lirance for a moment, she sighed contentedly. After Kera had told where they would be looking for her brother, Kiati couldn't help but feel excited. She hoped that they would be able to visit the ocean, for she had never been. She hoped even more that they would be able to find Kera's brother.
