ill give it a go with a poem that i wrote my boyfriend some while ago
it doesnt rhyme that good, but i still think its fairly good, i havent wrote anything new in awhile xD
More Than EveryThing On Earth <3
If i could show my love for you instead of just saying it out loud,
I whould show you exactly how much i love you,
More than all the snowflakes in the land,
More than every last grain of sand,
More than all the fish in the sea,
More than all the stars in the sky,
More than every blade of grass on the ground,
More than all the autumn leaves swaying in the wind,
More than all the flowers and each of its petals,
More than all the lush moutains on earth,
More than all the clouds above,
More than all the trees in the forests,
More than the seas rocky shores,
Could i love you forever more?
But since i can only tell you how much i love you,

The musician
The sadness in the melody,
The beauty in her pain,
Cleansed those who heard it,
Of all thoughts cruel and vain.
She played that small violin,
Till the strings snapped one by one,
The violin fell silent,
It's song eternally done...

The Black Widow's Lament:
It was simple then
and it's simple now.
The thief's daughter
who stares at the moon
with an unblinking eye.
The moon IS her mother.
Perhaps the Gods just couldn't agree
when it came to her fate.
She knows that Death
is just another sleepless night.
She recalls every word
of what they told her in church.
She seems to only wear her funeral clothes...
(there's just no sense in changing)
"Make NO mistakes and you'll live forever."
The widow makes new friends.
No one can grieve forever.
The flowers shake the dew from their petals
and peek out their heads for the blushing spring.
She cranes her neck to the skies
to silence the crow perched on the power line.
They buried her next to the others
(It was a suicide fit for the stage)
she always had craved attention.
They'd found her in the room
where she'd claimed he hit her.
(there are still bits of glass buried in the carpet)
where the bottle struck the wall
and she had begged for her life on more than one occasion.
The onlookers warm their gloved hands
against the chill of a graveyard winter.
The church's chimes ring in an age
and condemn a era.
Now restful in the arms of Death, her Lover.
Somewhere...
in the blackened sea
of august ashes
the raven sings the tragic tale
of The Black Widow's Lament.

The Price I Will Pay:
Somber knowing godly vows,
I sat alone behind my brows,
waiting for the light of truth,
I have wasted all my youth.
knowing nothing naught' save that,
I am lying like a mat,
hoping my demon, beloved own,
will come back 'an find my home,
I sit alone behind my brow,
and kiss away the songs of now.
Knowing only the date will come,
this tuesday's pass will surely sum
up all the truths I've ever known,
as magical falsehoods forver sewn.

EEK! Ok. ^_^ New but I love poems so Heres one of my best. I've gotten a lot of praise for it.
The Leap of Fate
They watch me as I fall
They stair like i'm a doll
You wonder why I die

As the rain falls around me

Love
this is a feeling not like any other
this is the feeling i now share with my Lover
a feeling i have never felt before
a feeling that will be with me forever more
i'm glad i was able to feel this way
it has really made my day
i will always remember his name
to me he will never be lame
for i will love Them always
for the rest of my days

I just wrote this last night on 9/9/09 (9 the movie came out last night too!! razz ). I was waiting to watch a movie with family and while I was waiting this poem popped into my mind.^.^ I wrote it down. I think I did an awesome job on this poem!! I hope you all enjoy it!

All your life you lived a lie
Jealous of what you couldn't have
Put on a pedestal way to high
Leaving far behind a river
Years go by and still you lie
You see something shiny and it's a man
Curious to know what he may hide
Float down to him and look so silver

Don't be shocked when left behind
crawling down upon a broken river
I wrote this back in march. I had been feeling a bit lost, and it was around the time me and my ex broke up quite violently. My heart achieved its first scar from her. She is a vain and narcissistic young girl and needs a dos of reality.
