I guess that I'm alright with Ganguro. It's not a style that I love, but it's their way of life, just like lolita is ours, and I must respect that they can look that way and like it ^^ yes i guess your right. but i still could NEVER see how someone would ever wanna be ganguro as opposed to lolita. i mean its just better! lol. this is my way of thinking. (and super gals! is an amazing anime whee )

I'm not fond of Ganguro at all. I don't think its pretty. The clothing style is cool, but the girls seem kinda creepy looking.

Personally, I don't like it much at all. I don't see the point of tanning your skin until it looks like leather....it's kinda gross in my opinion. The way the light make up contrasts with the skin is neat though...

I have to agree with many people here that ganguro is tacky. But I don't mind it. Some of the clothes are actually kind of cute in hyperactive sugar craze sort of way. But they physical appearance of the girls is rather unattractive.
I really doubt those tans are real. A lot of them look very unaturually orange. How many Japanese women have naturual very deep tans?

I think some ganguro clothes are cute, I just don't really like the make-up too much. I prefer... gangiro, not really kogal but whatever.
I think some of their fashions are pretty cute, like the boots they were hah... but I don't like the extreme tans and make-up. They're almost opposite of loli... o.O
And I don't support the bashing of ganguro either so I'm going to stay out of this thread. I mean some stuff is extreme but same can go for loli too.

Well. If you can pull it off, it looks really good. If you can't, it looks really stupid. Ganguro isn't for me at all. I don't like baring anything other than my shoulders or my lower legs, but if you like it, I guess that's okay. (Is my Lolita obsession due to my phobia of showing skin? I prefer to think it's because I'm elegant and restrained.)
Though I think there was a scan, somewhere, of gyaru-lolita? It was a fusing of Lolita and Ganguro, I believe, and though it sounds dreadful, it was nice. I'll try to find the link.

All I can really say is..Woah. Who ever came up with this was either..really into the valley girl look or was..a bit crazy. oO I hate having a tan. When ever I get a tan it stays for a year at least.
