She sat a little distance away and mewed to him, tilting her head once again. Despite what happened between them earlier, she could see he was hurt emotionally and got curious.

Kagome and ran towards Kirara and stopped as she had stopped in her tracks. Kirara...I didn't mean to say anything harsh to that demon, but trying to steal the shards after we have worked so hard to get. I just don't understand the meaning of life I guess.

Kirara's ears perked up and then went closer to him. She mewed once again, waiting to hear why he wanted the shards so badly.

Were collecting these shards before Naraku does. If he get's them all, were doomed cause he will have so much power that we will never be able to defeat him. We were protecting these shards from evil creatures and from Naraku getting them. And yes, I guess you could say I am the reincarnation. As Kagome spoke, she was petting Kirara's soft fur.

Kirara pushed against Kagome's hand as she petted her, enjoying it. She purred as she did so but at the same time, listened to her speak. She stood and circled and licked her hand occasionally.

"...Narauku..." Muntoc's axe glowed and Muntoc nodded. "You know, you're quite vunerable here, you should head back to your group, I must be on my way..." Muntoc stood and slowly began walking back to the path.

Inuyasha had fallen asleep on the rock, but if he knew what was going on he would have been very alert and angry...

Inuyasha woke up and his ears twitched as he noticed that Kagome had walked off farther away from his scent trail, he turns around and focuses his eyes to whats going on and then yells "What the hell Kagome?!?"
He made a run for it in there direction, his hand on the tetsaiga, basicly on the defense.

Inuyasha was deeply offended, his child hood was rough because when he was young nobody had excepted that he is a half dog demon, so they taunted him. Its like his past came to visit him, he didnt know what to say except sheath his sword and scream "You Jeeerk!"

Kirara jumped into the middle of the 2. She knew there was no need to fight and really didn't want either of them getting hurt. She sensed something about Muntoc which made her feel differently towards him. She looked up to both of them and mewed basically as a plea for them not to fight.
