The flying smoke and debris struggled to clear the area but managed to reveal Nathan's condition. Nathan was still standing, though covered in sweat and dirt as well as numerous burn marks. He was panting greatly and held himself up with his staff. Just before the eruption, Nathan has used the last bit of energy inside of him to create a constant ice barrier around himself to shield as much damage as possible, though Kin's spell still caused the barrier to vaporize instantly.

The darkness around Kin slowly faded away. Kin was standing still, thought just like Nathan, covered in sweat and was panting. He was actually covered is many injuries due to smashing into stone walls with such impact from his new speed spell.

Kin coughed and grunted. "I'm not finished... Yet." Kin managed to say, his last word struggling to slip out of his mouth. Vix revealed himself from the ground and slithered up next to Kin, the very end of his body at the tip of his tail was scorched from Kin's spell.

Nathan was having the same difficulty speaking as Kin was. "You're the most reckless combatant, no, PERSON, I have ever met." Nathan spoke slowly. "It's true Sombra can still fight, but I'm finished. Same goes for you. You fought well, you win." Nathan admit.

Kin's exhausted face then turned into a half smile. "Me finished? Unable to fight? That's crap a bunch of crap!" Kin shouted quite arrogantly and began taking a couple steps towards Nathan as if preparing to attack again.

Vix reminded Kin.

Kin thought back angrily.

Vix said, sounding very serious.

With that Kin lowered his arms and turned the other direction towards Sai. "Teh..."

The butler person that had escorted tham all into the ring reappeared through the doorway. He glanced around at the destruction and sighed. He raised his right hand where a silver ring with a fat black stone in it sat on his forefinger. There was a rapid flash of several colors and a large human shaped creature materialized, starting from the bottom and working its way up as the lines of color traced back and forth over it. The creature appeared almost like a man but it had short legs and long arms, and it's hands, feet, and face, which were the only parts of it visible as it was wearing a set of livery like it's masters, were dark skinned and coated in fur. It's face was flattened and it had two long under canines protruding upwards through its lips. There were bone like protrusions coming from its knuckles. The entire creature was large, and seemingly muscular.

"Amnwell, could you take the young Master's partner inside." The servent said to his own partner." The manservant said. He turned his attention to the victorious, yet extremely battered, combatants. "I apologize for the inconvenience, but since the young Masters are in such rough shape at the moment, I believe it would be best if you received your marks after all of you have had some time to rest." He walked over to where Noah lay collapsed against the wall still. He bent and picked up the Sage, cradling him in his arms. "If you'll follow me I will show to some guest quarters where you may recover." He looked across the way to the viewing area, where Vilya and Tura still sat. "Young lady, I could show around the grounds, if you'd like, once I have taken care of my Masters."

Stratus communicated with the serpent bond.

Vilya gave one loud whoop as Tura lowered her shields. She ran forward and knelt before Sai offering her hand.
"You did it. That was one hell of a battle." She grinned at Kin "You had me worried, I thought you were going to bring down the arena."
She looked over to where the servant was gently picking up one of the sages, and marked his battered condition.
"They really are just kids..." She frowned.
She was so deep in thought she hardly heard the servant's invitation to see the grounds.
"Think you can patch yourself up this time?" her tone was teasing but she smiled kindly at Sai.

(( Sorry, my internet was down for awhile. =_= ))

Vix thought to Stratus. Vix got a strange sensation after speaking to him since he usually doesn't speak to anyone besides Kin.

Vix thought to Kin, making it seem to be some sort of suggestion.

Kin replied and walked over to Sai. He glanced at Vilya. "Well, if destroying the arena is what it takes to win, I'll do it." Kin replied to her and he took off the gauntlet on his right hand and picked Sai up and over his shoulders. "I'll be taking him inside." Kin declared and followed the butler who Kin was becoming interested in fighting already.

"That's an interesting values system." She raised an eyebrow at Kin's retreating back before standing and brushing plaster dust and sand from her knees.
Tura rose now and made her way slowly over to the feathered dragon.
She said quietly.

Stratus said to Tura.

The servent man, whose name was Winstrom, led the two young combatants through a brief maze of hallways and corridors while carrying the unconscious form of Noah. Nathan limped along beside him. He had resealed his partner, allowing the great lion creature to recover within his binding stone. Winstrom's partner, Amnwell, followed after Kin, who was carrying Sai over his shoulder, carrying Noah's partner, who was also unconscious.

Winstrom stopped at a point where the corridor split into left and right branches. "Wait here one moment." He said to Kin as Nathan walked past him and headed down the left corridor. Winstrom and Amnwell went down the right. A couple of minutes later Winstrom returned. "If you will follow me, please." He led them back down the hallway only a few dozen feet to a point where two doors stood facing each other across the hallway from each other. He opened one of the doors and motioned for Kin to enter. "This room, and the one across from it, will be your quarters for the time being. I must see to the young Master, but I shall have Amnwell wait outside the doors here should you need anything."

The room was perfectly square, with it's high ceiling it might even have been cubed, constructed of solid stone, seeming almost of one piece. There was a large bed against the wall directly across from the door with a thick blanket and large fluffy pillows. The frame was wood, elaborately carved, and inlaid with burnished bronze in intricate designs. There was a desk, made to match the bedframe against one wall, and a dresser, also matching, against the other. There was a chest in front of the bed and mirrored stand lamps in the corners, already lit and casting a soft light. Each wall held two tapestries, except the one that the bed lay against. The tapestries were brilliantly woven, depicting magnificent beasts and anonymous looking mages casting epic spells.

((The other room is the same.))

((Thanks for leaving me hanging xp ))

Tura returned to her companion.

"Do what?" Vilya asked but Tura shook her head.
With that the gryphon started toward the door, her talons clicking rythmically on the stone floors.
Vilya followed with a surrendering shrug.

The gardens were large, as Vilya looked about her she thought they could easily contain three of the weapons distict easily. There were many different kinds of tree and plant she had never seen before. At one point she thought she had found a willow, but when she approached it looked more like an oak, and grew ever more like an oak as they walked away.
Tura mused,
"Why make something like that?" Vilya crossed her arms.
Tura replied.
The paths were white stone and always cool on the gryphon's paws, even in the sunlight when they weren't shaded by the trees.
At length they came to a shaded pond a little ways off the path. Vilya approached it with Tura just behind her. By the side of the pond, sitting with its tail brushing the water sat a gryphon.
Vilya jumped when she saw it for she had not even noticed it was there until she was right across from it. Tura's ears pricked for one moment, then a look of disappointment crossed her face.
Vilya looked again and saw why.
"Its a statue." she said quietly.
Tura knelt on the opposite side of the pond from the statue and lay down. Taking up the exact position of the stone gryphon and becoming its mirror image.
"Cute." Vilya said, sitting down beside her companion. I guess we can't have our match until tomorrow...I hate waiting."

((Sorry about that, Griffin. I was planning to kinda leave things in Azure's hands for a while, since Sai is out of it... again... This seems to be becoming a habit for me, Sai overexerting himself in almost every battle. Can't say he's not giving it his all, though... Feel free to help yourself to Winstrom. I'm sure you have a good idea of what this place is like, so improvise as you see fit. You also Azure.))

((Yeah you should really give Sai a break, maybe Tura could give him a few pointers on how to cast conservatively lol.
Well if we're all seperated why not just speed up time?))
PostPosted: Thu Aug 13, 2009 4:51 pm

(( Sorry, sorry. I'm having internet connection problems. It will drop every minute or so maybe sooner. This is a rare chance. o.0 I'm ordering a new modem. Ehh, speeding up time isn't a bad idea. ))

Kin brought Sai closer to the large bed. Adjusting his shoulder, Kin moved Sai off his shoulder and into his cupped arm and then tossed him onto the soft bedding. "There, now just rest." Kin said regardless of Sai hearing him or not.

Kin walked around the room, examining everything and finally putting his gauntlet back onto his unarmed hand he carried Sai with. Kin looked at Sai he lay on the bed. This guy. He passes out more than anybody. Kin sighed and then laid down on the floor, his face upward and looking up at the ceiling. Resting here will be just fine. Besides, best not leave Sai like that alone. He's my pray after all, I won't anyone take advantage of the opportunity.

(( YESSS, I managed a post within the small time. ))

((I'm going to go ahead and press the fast forward button then I suppose.))

Vilya had explored a little more of the gardens before heading back to the palace (or at least that was what she saw it as) and to her room. Tura refused to retrun to her stone.

Vilya had to agree with her companion there, the building was huge.
"We've got a pretty big battle ahead of us tomorrow." Vilya thought out loud as she undid the braid in her hair.
Tura rose from the carpet and leapt carefully onto the bed beside her.
"Hey!"

"You could warn me." Vilya shot back, grabbing a pillow and smacking the gryphon over the ears with it; Whump!
Tura grabbed another pillow in her beak and countered with it. The force nearly sent Vilya over the side of the bed.
The gryphon's voice betrayed her amusement.
Vilya gave her companion a stern look before disolving into laughter.
"All right...lets get some sleep."
Tura nodded and curled up protectively around the girl.
Vilya laid her head on Tura's flank, burying her face in the thick, black feathers.
"Good night feather-face." Vilya yawned.
Tura put her head down and closed her violet eyes.

Sai awoke the next morning to gentle whisperings within his mind.

Stratus was speaking softly into his mind.

Sai asked.

Sai asked, still groggy and confused.

Sai said and swung up and off of the bed.

He stood up and found that he was still fully dressed and his sword was still sheathed on his back, though his staff was nowhere in sight. Off to the side of the bed Kin was laying on the floor.

"Kin. Get up. It's morning, apparently." Sai said while looking down at his friend who was laying flat on his back, arms at the sides.
PostPosted: Sun Aug 16, 2009 3:08 pm

"I know." Kin replied, opening on eye quickly and looking up at Sai. Kin jumped to his feet. "I don't remember more than half the match yesterday. I wasn't able to see anything the whole time. That's not how I like fighting." Kin vented.

(( Apparently the new modem I ordered didn't solve the problem. And now I just have more problems. =_= ))

"I remember my part of it. I didn't really have time during the match to check on how you were doing. Plus I was blinded for most of it." Sai said. "If Stratus hadn't taken care of things for my I would've lost." Sai walked over the desk, spun the chair there around, and sat down in it facing his friend. "Those kid Sages were a lot more tricky than we thought they were. We seriously underestimated them." He paused for a moment, as if in thought. "I plan to take a lesson away from this encounter." He stood and spun the chair back around. "We should go see what's going on for the morning, then. I know Vilya was looking forward to her turn at these guys."

((Totally forgot about Damiano, we'll say he was given a room as well. He'll just follow us all around like a 3d shadow....))
