My friend named her clarinet Benji. She named my flute Jebidiah because some people in my Chinese class nicknamed me that last year (lol, i have no idea why they called me that though!)

yeah... i named my flute.... she's older than i am, and i changed her name once.... it used to be Athena.... but flutes aren't very Athena-like, so i named her Alena, which means beautiful. I named my case, too. It's named Thor. Thor is now held together with craft wire hinges and two rubber bands... poor Thor... (atleast all i need is rubber bands. once i saw a trumpet (i think) case held shut with a bungee cord. lol)

Almost all of my instruments have had a name. My first flute (which was my mother's) was named Wiskle. Then I had a piccolo named Mickey, another piccolo named Flower, and my current flute is named Libby. ^_^

I never named my piano, and I have yet to do so.
My first saxophone never had a name, either, because I had it for only a month.
My second saxophone is named Katai, which is Japanese for "difficult." Indeed, the saxophone is difficult to play, and requires an amazing amount of air to play.
My third saxophone never had a name, either, because I forgot to give it one in the year that I used it.
My fourth saxophone was named Chouku, which is Japanese for "a long march." Our marching season happened to be longer this year, considering the football team went into the playoffs. The sax lasted me throughout the entire season, and was probably my favorite of the saxes I've had.
My bassoon is named Maruki, which is Japanese for "log." My mom, dad, friends, and I all call the bassoon a log, so that's what it was named.
