Kasumi cocked her head slightly, concentrating. "It seems so, but I am sure that Constance would want a little privacy to catch up with her mother," she said with a faint smile.

Lorcán cocked his head thoughtfully. "I am sure that she'd want to meet us, though knowing Constance she'd want some time to herself to catch up with her mother," he said with a faint smile.

Merrick gently took Constance's hand. "I can say that if the demons think they'll find it easy... they're in for a rude awakening, in more ways than one," he said as he shifted his weight, unaware that the scaled gauntlet was clearly visible on his hand and forearm that marked him as Sparda's bloodline; he was unaware that he could absorb demonic essence through the gauntlet nor was he aware that Rosalyn knew of Sparda's twin sons... his great-uncles as he had access to a certain katana, marking him as the calmer side of the bloodline, though it had merged with his soul weapon.

Naruto cocked an eyebrow. "Trust me, I see you and it's like looking at the sun... only I have trouble looking away," he murmured with amusement.

"I am sure she would like some time with her mother," Carolyn said with a nod. "If it were me...I would want some alone time with my mother." She picked up a plate and took a bite of the food they had brought up. "Besides...I want some more alone time with you."~~~~~~~ "We will wait until she is ready," Cassandra said with a small smile. She wanted to see Rosalyn again; the woman who had captured her brother's heart. She reached up and touched Lorcan's face gently. "I vaguely remember Constance's mother. She was always such a nice woman. And then my memories were locked away."~~~~~~~ Rosalyn saw the gauntlet and she nearly flinched, but held her face neutral. It had been a long time since she had seen anything like that. She knew what it could do when someone knew how to use it properly. She smiled slightly. At one time her father had tried to marry her off to one of Sparda's sons. He wanted the power that would come from the offspring of their two powerful bloodlines. "You two are well suited for each other. Not only do you have strong blood, but I can feel the bond between the two of you. I remember the love I felt for your father," she said as she looked at Constance. "You two have the same feeling."Constance smiled, glad to know her mother could feel the love between herself and Merrick. "Mom..how did you get free? What made you able to break free?" Her head tilted to the side slightly. She was happy her mother was here, but she wanted to know why now of all times. Rosalyn hesitated as she looked at the both of them. She knew that neither of them knew what had happened. Neither of them knew that Constance was now in more danger than ever. Slowly she reached forward and touched Constance's stomach. "Because of this," she said softly. "Our bloodline has always had the ability to know the moment our offspring have conceived another life. I knew moments after his seed stayed inside of you. You carry not one life...but two. They will come you with more force now. They will want to corrupt your children while they are young. This must not happen."Constance looked down at her mother's hand and then back up at her with disbelief. "I...I...you are certain?""One hundred percent." Rosalyn said with a nod. ~~~~~~~ Merida chuckled softly. "I am glad you have trouble looking away from me. I feel the same. I think that we were meant to be...I know that sounds corny, but I believe it." She sat up a little straighter and held her arms out to him. "Now come and join me."

Kasumi smiled slightly. "I agree with that, in more ways than one," she said with a small giggle.

Lorcán tilted his head as he half closed his eyes. He silently mused how lucky he was to find such a beautiful, intelligent, skilled, and compassionate woman for his own.

Merrick tilted his head, his eyes widening slightly with the announcement that his mother-in-law made; it shocked him that he was going to be a father. "Trust me, if you saw how Constance was when you were in danger... you'd be impressed; pardon the pun, but she fought like a demon," he said quietly, his tone faintly amused. A faint flickering swirl of indigo flame flickered over the gauntlet as he exhaled slowly. "We weren't sure when you'd wake up, but we got you some food; I don't know about food service down there, but it must be about as lousy as the demons' subtlety... and they're so subtle they make a supernova look like a firecracker," he said with a soft sigh.

Naruto walked towards Merida, well aware his body was demanding hers in the most intimate ways though he kept his movements slow and steady before he reached the bed. "I swear, I'd swim nude through magma, broken glass, and barbed wire to see you smile," he murmured as he reached her arms.

Kaosujin Ryu yikes...what a day...we are also in the proccess of moving so if I disappear for a little while don't be alarmed. Trying to get everything set up at the new place Carolyn smiled as she chewed her food. Kasumi was downright adorable. Although she wasn't sure that word was quite right. "Well it's good that you agree with me. Because I dont know if I could handle it if you didn't," she teased softly. ~~~~~~~ Cassandra loved how her touch affected Lorcan. Every time they had contact it felt as if a fire was coursing through her body and she didn't want it to stop. That's how she knew it was right. That they were meant to be together. "I am not so hungry for that food anymore," she said softly. ~~~~~~~ "No apologizes are needed," Rosalyn said with a shake of her head as she looked at Merrick. "Fighting like a demon is good. There is strength and cunning there. It is in her blood. Demons are supposed to protect and support their family in all things, but there are some who seem to have forgotten that." She knew that they would realized she was referring to her own father and brother. At the mention of food the smell suddenly hit her and her mouth began to water. "Food---sounds good."Constance smiled as she watched her mother. She saw the look of hunger enter her eyes. Without a word she stood up and got a plate full of food. She took it back to the bed and handed it over to her mother. "Here. There is plenty so don't feel like you have to watch what you eat." She watched as Rosalyn began to eat the food vigorously. Silently she went to Merrick's side. "Babies," she said softly without looking at him. Her hands went to her stomach where the small life forms were beginning to grow. ~~~~~~~ "I'd do anything for you," Merida said softly as she wrapped her arms around Naruto. "You are able to make me smile without even trying. Just seeing you makes me smile." She had never felt this way about anyone before and she was glad it was with him.

Kasumi snorted. "Agreeing with a beautiful woman is so hard to do," she sighed, deliberately making it sound dramatic as it wasn't that hard for her to agree with Carolyn. The woman was obviously intelligent and aware of how others reacted around her.

Lorcán chuckled, brushing his hand up over Cassandra's hip before pausing at her shoulder. "Trust me, we're fortunate that we have a bit less to deal with at the moment," he said, fairly sure she'd notice that he shifted a bit closer to her as he spoke and almost certain she noticed his body's arousal.

Merrick shrugged one shoulder. "And mythology claims demons 'don't care about anyone but themselves and power'... seems like only the stupid ones do that," he said quietly as he let one hand trail around Constance's hips as he started eating his own food. A slight shiver shot up his spine as he thought of how he was going to be a father.

Naruto chuckled softly. "My physical reaction is pretty obvious... emotionally, you do for me what nobody has done for me before. You make me forget the past; all the pain, loneliness, regrets and fears. Honestly, I was really freaked out when I realized I was outliving everyone I knew... so I ran and fled... and really, I never stopped; the only two things that really made me stop for even a little while was Merrick as he's family... and someone else," he said, well aware Merida would realize the 'someone else' was her.

Carolyn chuckled softly as she ran a hand through her hair. Kasumi had a way of making her feel good about herself. She had been called beautiful before, but when Kasumi said it...well it really meant something. Carolyn knew that the other woman meant it when she said it. ~~~~~~~ Cassandra smiled as Lorcan moved closer to her. The love that she felt pouring off of him made her heart sing with complete and utter happiness. "Yes, we are fortunate indeed." She leaned closer to Lorcan, kissing him gently. Her eyes closed as she wrapped her arms around his neck. ~~~~~~~ "Family...they are supposed to care about family," Rosalyn said between bites of food. "As with every other race. And as with every other race there are those who don't care about family at all."Constance just stood there silently as her mother and Merrick spoke. When Merrick's arm went around her hips she smiled and leaned into him. It was hard to believe that they were going to be parents. Sure she had thought about having kids before, what girl didn't? But she hadn't expected it to happen so soon. She was happy about it though. ~~~~~~~ "Well you don't have to run anymore," Merida said softly. "I am here." She didn't say anything about the thoughts nagging at the back of her head. She wouldn't stay young forever. As Naruto stayed the way he was, she would grow older and her looks would change. Right now she was just going to enjoy the time they had.

Kasumi shifted her weight as she sat casually on the bed. "There are times when people underestimate the simplest things," she murmured as she took her time eating, though she deliberately didn't take her eyes off of Carolyn in the process.

Lorcán smiled faintly before he kissed her back, slowly deepening the kiss.

Merrick chuckled softly. "Thankfully I know two beautiful demonesses that are actually very pleasant to be around," he said with amusement as he gently hugged Constance to him as he smiled at Rosalyn.

Naruto tilted his head slightly. "There are some races that are semi-immortal, showing very little signs of aging. Kitsune, demons, and vampires being among them; it is possible to become the first and the last, though it isn't easy shifting from human to vampire as they need an extremely strong will," he said with a slight shrug. He suspected that Merida would realize that he was referring to the mate bond that would, if they chose to go through with it, change her into a half Kitsune while incomplete and full Kitsune once completed. Most humans tended to live a hundred to hundred thirty years... Kitsune, however, lived thousands if not tens of thousands of years, usually showing real signs of aging like barely noticeable silver hair somewhere around the 65,000 year mark; he had run into one that physically appeared no older than mid thirties yet was close to 110,000 years old.

"I couldn't agree more," Carolyn said softly as she watched Kasumi. She really was something to behold. "The simplest things are usually the best things," she said as she too sat down on the bed. She knew without looking at Kasumi that the other woman was watching her the whole time she ate. She smiled a little. ~~~~~~~ Cassandra couldn't help but press her body closer to Lorcan's as he deepened the kiss that she had started. Her hands ran lightly across his shoulders and into his hair. ~~~~~~~ Rosalyn looked up at the two of them and smiled. "You two really are sweet together. I couldn't ask for a better person to take care of my little girl."Constance smiled with complete love as she looked up at Merrick. "I wouldn't want anyone else by my side but Merrick." She leaned into him, taking comfort in his warmth and strength. ~~~~~~ Merida smiled at Naruto. She knew he was trying to let her know without coming out and saying it that she could be with him for many years to come. "Let's not think of mortality or immortality right now," she said in a low, seductive voice. "Let's just enjoy each other and allow ourselves to finally let someone in."

Kasumi could smell the pheromones her body was putting out from the arousal now burning through her body. I doubt she'll mind, she thought as she shed her robe, leaving her in tight shorts and a bra.

Lorcán pulled back, panting. "You are so beautiful... though you're wearing too much," he murmured quietly.

Merrick shrugged one shoulder. "Trust me, someone goes after my family... they'll bite off more than they can chew... if they don't choke on it first," he said as he exhaled slowly, lightly trailing his fingers up Constance's back beneath her shirt idly though he didn't try anything else.

Naruto chuckled. "Trust me, as beautiful as you are, enjoying you isn't the hard part... pulling away from you is; sometimes I think I'm like the planet Mercury... too close to the sun but can't pull away nor look away... and that's what you are to me because I'm burning up," he said, well aware that his body was very obviously showing demand for hers.

Carolyn turned her head to watch Kasumi, a small smile spreading across her face. She knew where this could possibly go and she didn't mind at all. In fact she wanted to leap at Kasumi but she restrained herself. ~~~~~~~ Cassandra breathed heavily as she opened her eyes and stared at Lorcan. She smirked as she fingered the collar of his shirt. "As are you."~~~~~~~ Rosalyn nodded as she finished the plate of food that was in her hands. Already her stomach was beginning to feel better. Now that she was out of captivity and was able to allow herself to relax everything was coming back. Meeting Constance's father, falling in love, having her..him dying. She shook her head a little as sadness swept through her. So many lives lost because of her father and brother. A shiver went up and down Constance's back as Merrick ran his fingers over her skin. She watched her mother closely and saw the sadness that swept through her eyes. She pulled away from Merrick's grasp and went to her mother, kissing her on the forehead. "Merrick and I will go to the next room over. We'll take some food for us and leave the rest for you. You should get more rest and then come down to meet everyone. I am sure that Cassandra will be happy to see you."Rosalyn smiled softly. "I will do that then. Poor Cassandra---she does deserve an explanation for why her memories were locked away." Shortly after marrying Cassandra's brother they had created a spell to make her forget who he was to her. It was the only way to keep her safe. ~~~~~~~ "This passion that we have...I don't think it will ever die," Merida whispered as she pulled him down on the bed with her. "I already feel the love I have for you burying deep inside of me and latching on with a death grip."

Kasumi could see Carolyn watching her from the corner of her eye, though she gave no outward sign that she knew the elder witch was watching her and was aroused as well as she ate slowly, deliberately purring in her throat every three or four minutes as if she were enjoying the food, which was true, even as she teased Carolyn.

Lorcán cocked his head as he leaned back. "Then what's stopping you from 'unwrapping' this present?" he teased.

Merrick smiled faintly, though he noticed and recognized the sadness in Rosalyn's eyes. "It isn't that we suffer loss in life, but how we deal with it that matters; we're all human, deep down, and regardless of our abilities or nature, we are going to suffer loss of one sort or another," he said quietly, hugging Rosalyn to let her know he was there for her as well.

Naruto snorted a laugh. "Don't you mean 'latching on with a lively grip', love? This kind of passion, if nothing else, lets us know we're truly alive," he said quietly, letting her pull him down onto the bed; he was mildly amused when he felt her hand drift down his torso to his hip.

Carolyn chuckled softly as she reached over and ran her fingers through Kasumi's hair lightly. "You make butterflies appear in my stomach every time I look at you."~~~~~~~~~ "Nothing, nothing at all," Cassandra whispered as she slowly tugged off his shirt. She kissed lightly along his jawline. ~~~~~~~~~ Rosalyn smiled as she hugged Merrick back. "You two go on and have your time. I think I will rest." She lay back in the bed, looking up at the ceiling. "Okay, we will see you in a little while then," Constance said as she grasped Merrick's hand. "Let's get our food and let mother rest."~~~~~~~~ "Oh I like that," Merida said softly as she ran her hands over him. Her hands ran up into his hair as she pressed her body closer to his.

Kasumi blinked, unaware a dribble of chili was rolling down her chin as she looked at Carolyn. "Every time I look at you, I can't help but feel like hyperactive sparrows are in my stomach," she said softly after swallowing.

Lorcán exhaled slowly as he leaned his head back a bit, letting her do as she pleased as he let her undress him slowly.

Merrick chuckled. "You may only have Constance here related to you by blood, but trust me, you have one hell of an extended family," he said in a half teasing tone as he grabbed a couple of plates of food and turned towards the door.

Naruto shivered slightly. "Most people forget the natural seductive nature of a beautiful woman... in your case, the power and magic are just bonuses," he murmured, keenly aware of how his body was putting off strong pheromones.

"Well," Carolyn said softly as she moved closer. "It's good that we feel the same way." She reached forward and wiped the chili from her chin. ~~~~~~~ Cassandra pulled back as she got Lorcan's shirt off. She ran her hands lightly over his chest. "Hmm, I love the feel of you."~~~~~~~ Constance gathered some food as well as she followed Merrick out of the door. She heard her mother's soft sigh as the door shut behind them. "She's been through so much," she said softly. "Nobody should have to go through what she has been through."~~~~~~~ Merida's body shivered as she pressed closer to Naruto. She wanted to be close to him, to touch him everywhere. "Some people think words are useless, that action is the only good thing. I don't agree with them at all. Words mean a lot and have the power to harm people or make them happy. Your words...they move me in a way I never thought was possible."

Kasumi exhaled a soft chuckle as she shifted, a small smile playing at the corners of her mouth.

Lorcán shivered slightly, taking a slow, deep breath. "I swear, you make a skilled succubus look like a blind, deaf, dumb four year old," he murmured.

Merrick rolled his shoulders. "To be honest, and I use this sarcastically... I pity the demons when she's well... 'cause if she's half as lethal as you or I, then the demons had better be making out wills and hoping that she doesn't come after them," he said quietly as he walked towards the door two down which ironically was actually the first room he'd had upon arriving here.

Naruto shrugged. "With most guys it can be summed up in three simple words: Head Meets a**... me, I make it a point that if I don't like them, I mention it though I usually give them a chance... they screw up or threaten my family... then begging will work about as well as trying to push a speeding car back to stop it," he said quietly, unconsciously shifting slightly as she got closer to him.
